If, as an associate, you practice expanded functions dentistry (molar RCT, extractions, implants etc.), commit to working 6 days/week and practice in a rural community where competition is low, your take home can exceed $30-50k a month.
Look on MEDIAN PAY not average… in Atlanta, the median pay for a general dentist is $165,000 and that’s directly from the BLS 2021 data (that comes from the IRS.) Indebted general dentist and pediatricians take home the same amount of money as a debt free truck driver.
@@cramsa perhaps the top 1% of truck drivers earn as much as the average dentist. But we have an uncapped earning potential. The student debt is a problem but if you're smart you can have it paid off in under a year. Sidekicker, I have dozens of friends and colleagues who will graduate with 0$ in student loan debt.
