A real pleasure to hear your thoughts on how to handle such a complicated piece, then to see you execute it. I absolutely love the result, and as this tree matures, I believe it is going to be a very special bonsai. This was one of the best videos I have had the pleasure of watching. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work!
Love It Mauro ! I live in the hills of Wales and have few Hawthorn bonsai also..collected locally. Tony Tickle's raft is an inspiration in itself...your is looking amazing too.. I always think the hawthorn blossom is like having a dwarf cherry blossom, plus the red berries are a bonus ! Some of the hawthorns on the mid West Wales coast are so windswept and craggy ! Been watching for ages but the Wales connection got me commenting..I'm guessing a Merthyr Tydfil outing...lols Love all ya stuff man..legend !
Bravo maestro👍👍🇵🇷 Exelent demonstration I really enjoyed seeing all the process to this driftwood windswept raft style just awesome. Bravo maestro👍👍🇵🇷
Vamos a por otro videaco!!!!!! Such a great crataegus. Suposse this work was made in february, march... as much as I see the tree the work seems more complicated.... interesante resultado final y grandes dotes para la ópera!!!! Muchas gracias por compartir.
Eccezionale, Mauro. La tua maestria sta nel cogliere le opportunità anche nei materiali complicati come questo... Piante così se ne vedono poche, davvero complimenti. Mi piacerebbe vederla in futuro...
Difficult material but your execution to tranform it was excellent. I could not believe my eyes when you started wiring the branches without removing the thorns!!! KUP on its leafing out/flowering.
Hawthorne is used as field hedging where I live. It gets chain flailed twice per year along roadsides and so is made into incredible subjects suitable for bonsai simulating having been foraged by animals and damaged by wind/snow. It is a pleasure to walk around and see these beautiful trees. It would be more of a pleasure to collect some!

Awesome three .... please give an update within appr. half a year. 😎😎🌳
Very beautiful
After seeing the work with that thorny buckthorn, I wonder if barberry would make good bonsai material?
Pianta veramente bellissima!
By tilting up the tree, i feel that the inverse taper & straight trunk are getting highlighted.
Esse é doidim de tudo.
I like it but did it bite you narst’y hawthorns🍺
I would of liked to see you wire it in the pot. Hiding the wire can be a challenge, for beginners
Always try to create good anchors
Ciao Mauro fai qualche esposizione in Sardegna?
William I hope you got danger money from Mauro when wiring those spiky branches? 😂
wow.. 🙏🙏🙏
Incredible. How long do you think the wires will need to stay on?
Probably 2/3 months the most
@@MauroStemberger wow, longer than I would have guessed. Thanks!
