*Hey everyone!* 👋 Next build is an old retro mtb but was waiting on parts so smashed out this Cinelli build. I’m so happy with it, this is an idol frame for me and it’s amazing to ride 🥹💓 thanks for watching!
Stoked with the amount of infrastructure we have (which is a fair amount compared to some, but lacking compared to lots too). This is one of my favourite paths to cruise through, it’s not a main route but it would be pretty handy for school kids as it joins a couple main roads to a school! And the pump track is an awesome touch too, commuter routes with fun detours would be amazing 🤩
Thanks heaps! 🙌 from the legend himself 🤙 yeah really saved the day, well made and handy product 👌 only had a bmx stem to fit that short steerer of all things 😆
Did you check out their questions on their site? There’s a couple tips there. Thanks! I didn’t really want to glue it in, but wanted to give it some help and prevent oxidisation so gave this a try. It’s been working great 👍
My hands down favorite bike channel. But I gotta say I really enjoy the narration and very low music volume this time the music was front and center, repetitive and very little narration which just didn't hit the same for me. :-( Can't wait for the next one hoping the narration comes back! Keep on keeping on my guy!
Nice build. I love that I recognise the products used and some of the Auckland views. Was this done in Summer - not shorts and T-shirt ‘weather here in the south.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Video was filmed the week of uploading, it hasn’t been too cold up there. The Raleigh20 video was filmed in Invercargill and I was riding there last weekend in shorts and a T-shirt, thick skinned or something.
No this one was from the South Island, he’s had one before though! Can’t remember if it was the same size but if I ever get rid of it he’s already got first dibs haha Thanks! I’d agree there, really iconic frame from the peak of the fixed gear era 🙌
I hate the way the bottom bracket spanners mark the anodise when you tighten them up. I've found wrapping a bit of plumbers Ptfe tape round the bottom bracket before using the spanner largely stops the problem 👍
Yeah! Normally if you’re careful it doesn’t do much depending on the bb. This one was roasted from a previous owner so I didn’t bother being careful. Ptfe tape is a good tip though 👌 just a lap or two around yeah?
They recommend 2 part epoxy if you want to glue it in, some from the hardware store 👍 works fine without gluing it in though, there’s some instructions/questions on their site
Thank you 🤙 choosing/experimenting with the right ratio helps to get around hills. After riding a couple SS or fixed gear bikes you get more used to it though. I commute across Auckland around the same average speed on my fixed gear bikes, some hills I average faster times up them (go figure) 😅

So many bike paths and a random concrete pump track? Paradise.

Looks soo good man! Those stem extenders are a life saver👌

Love ya builds I prefer the videos with commentary but still good.
Thanks! Yeah not much to talk about with fixed gear builds haha. Will be a commentary on the next video 🤙
@@toastyrideswdym? I thought you would talk about how you fixed the gears.. clearly theyre broken 😂
Nice job! I appreciate your choice of handle bars.
Really comfy, and they look beautiful too 👌took a while to find the right one though
That fork extender is pretty cool I like that you can't even tell its there.
super cool build. That frame is sweet too
Ahh, my favourite channel, Toastey Wheelies
Should really do a ride with Wavey on the Cinelli sometime 😆👌
@@toastyrides that'd be rad!
I had an issue to get my extender to tighten, so I ditched it. Your solution is great!

Looks amazing toasty! Also love the pedals, I need something like that for one of my bikes so thanks for sharing the details.
i think youve upped your game with this bike !!!
Thank you! 🙌 can’t wait to do some old cheap bike builds too though 👌
Owsome build 😍😍😍
Thank you 🙌
First
Damn - I'm now that guy.
Hahaha love it mate, cheers for stopping in! 🤙
@@toastyrides Looks sweet boss. Won't be long til theres a basket on the front I bet ;)
Love it!
Loves me some single speed .
Same here, have a couple others in mind for the near future too 😁👌 mountainbikes this time, but still 👍

Just you building without the music would be great. Just the sound of the builder and his tools. Great build though 👍👍
Did you get the frame from Wavy Wheelies? It is a beautiful build! Probably one of the nicest frame build ups you have done!

sweet.
Thanks! 🙌

@@toastyrides 👍, it's just thin enough the spanner still slips on. I learned the hard way on a new Hope bottom bracket 😬
What did you use to glue in the extender?

why sloped top tube just to offset with riser bars?
Don’t really care about aero gainz 🤧
@@toastyrides why not just get a bike without a sloped top tube?
Does it bug ya?
@@toastyrides Lol yes a little bit 😂
That a great looking bike, much better looking than mine but how on earth do you cope with having no gears ?

Anyone else look away at the start cause you don't wanna see what the parts on it are 😭
Hahaha I never know whether I should put those clips in or not 😂
@@toastyrides I just like to be surprised for some reason 😭
Haha sweet gold to hear, the next video I’ll keep that in mind 🤙
