- Ever since buying the all new 2022 BRZ, I have been getting a lot of questions asking if it is worth the purchase! Decided to make a video on giving my personal opinion if it's worth buying a 2022 BRZ or GR86...

After having been at my dream job for almost a year now, I’m finally looking at getting into my second dream - owning a jdm car. I love the older jdm cars of course, but realistically I just want something new that won’t need repairs and work done all the time. I was at a car show here in my city and saw this. Super affordable and for a new car, it looks so clean and almost kinda keeps the roots of jdm in a way. I’ve come back to all your BRZ vids just to hype myself more and I think I’m convinced man. Hopefully I can get one this year, if not, definitely next year. Cheers!
BRZ and GR86 are good looking cars, but for $10K+ more I still have to buy the Nissan Z. The widebody's that will come out for the Z will be insane.

The new Nissan (400) Z will be awesome, but it won't be just $10k more. You would want the Performance trim with the LSD, better brakes and tires, rev matching and launch control .... all that which is another $10k on top of the Sport trim which when all said and done is easily $20k over the Gen 2 86/BRZ and that's if you can find one w/o addons. Dealers would probably flood the lots with cars that already have another $4-6k of addons . Now you have to start thinking about the tax on top of all that final sale price. The Gen 2 86/BRZ is such a better deal since it's a base car with an awesome chassis and suspension that is track ready out of the box. There are stock Gen 2 twins taking out Porsches and Supras on the track already.

Am i the only one who still likes the 1st gen than the 2nd gen more? Idk… just the look of a 1st gen FR-S/ BRZ is more aggressive and just looks more badass… the interior in one is also more sport like… no shade on the new BRZ’s, because i seen a couple in person and they are beautiful & eye catching but my heart still will always belong to my 1st gen 😩 i might be biased

Saw a gen 2 (86) for the first time in person today. The Neptune Blue color is so nice. I didn't like the gen 2 twins at first but they have grown on me so much and I love them now. As an owner of a '20 BRZ, gen 1 has a place in my heart. Love your FRS! Excited to see the new stuff with the BRZ as well.

I’ve transitioned from driving big heavy suvs and trucks to owning a gr86. The driving experience is a huge difference and the tighter space is actually enjoyable. Perfect car as a daily for me needs and great security system to prevent your parents or anyone else from driving it
I’m already 6’2-6’3 barefoot at 14, and a bit scared that by the time I’m 16-18 and want to own this car I might just not fit. Can you fit in the front seat above 6’3?
For this reason as well as more stock power, I am considering the WRX. The exterior just needs a lot of work to make it as sleek as even a stock GR86/BRZ.

It fits you, YOUR personality, as far as what I can see due to your videos, IS TALENTED, so whenever I see someone customize THEIR car, it definitely says alot about who 'They' are and how they perceive things. Now, me, I got a wife and kids etc. So, your car wouldn't do me any good, But what I got, does the trick for me! I do the same thing as you, I look for ways to make my car better, it never stops. Probably gonna get one once I pay off my toaster (2012 xB). As far as a daily, I don’t see myself getting rid of the Scion anytime soon. As a project, however, I’d been looking at cars like this and the Honda S2000 for some time and honestly I dunno which I’d like more. I have zero experience with RWD aside from my mum’s ‘05 Rubicon, so I’d definitely be down to try something different. Great video.😁

New supra is cool too, but I'm so fucking biased to have a pure heritage car idk why. Been considering a new mustang gt too, was my first car but sold it for a lexus is350. Lexus feels way better to drive than a mustang gt, but I want even more of a drivers car.
@@williammorales3859 A purist, drivers car. Yes! I went from 03 Civic, my first, to a '20 Corolla. I'll have to keep an eye on Mazda. Im not a huge fan of Mustangs or Dodge Challengers. They're so commonly seen in my area. But we all have our opinions and reasons behind our purchase. The longer I look into purchasing a particular vehicle the more i move onto something else lol. So I best stop looking!

Man you got a steal on your car do you have the premium or regular, the dealer in my town wanted to markup the price by like 10k for a premium GR86 so the car was like 45k which is wayyyy over priced! I really enjoy your content I have a 1st Gen FRS lowered and going to get me some Kansei KNP wheels this week and plan to get me a 2023or 2024 GR86 next year around April although I saw its better to buy a new car from Oct-1st-Jan1st on to the next year when did you purchase yours what month?

Even tho it looks like a Porsche the Gen 2 has really grown on me. That being said I love my Gen 1 and I think when it comes times for a new car I might just look into motor swaping the FA24 into it.

Gen 1 looks better in my opinion! I had a 300zx and a Corvette that were faster but my Frs is way more fun and feels better on turns for sure! It's great on gas and I have three kids all of which I take to school and my 2 year old goes in the car seat. It's tight but we all fit for a short commute so the back is not useless! No back seats at all is useless!

I like them, gonna buy one in the upcoming months. Not many cars have an actual handbrake and not many manual transmissions anymore. Plus with these type of cars, you can do many of mods.

I want to see one in person first and get a ride or even drive it to finally formulated my opinion however I do think the gen2 looks really nice but I prefer the gr86 front bumper over the BRZ.

I'm having annoyance over volume setting, when I got android auto on, I can't have any apps opened prior to using AA. Volume turns to notifications instead of media, so I gotta open Spotify off the infotainment. Annoying asf
I tried sitting in the gr86 seats and didn’t like the head rest since it angles down so much and felt so firm, any thoughts on it? But in my 2014 frs I loved the seats

I know they are apple to orange but I love both and would like to know the driving feelings from daily perspective. For example I like taking corners in a freaking 2017 Honda hrv over a 2019 mustang gt just because the lightness feel in the hrv. Please make a video comparing the 2 if you can. Thanks

What about the power difference between your SC Gen 1 and the OEM Gen 2? I have to admit I like the 86 front end better.
On 91 I would guess 40-60hp difference. E85 makes all the difference with the supercharger!
