I think the reason why we kept confusing them as old man Jenkins is that he was basically the only consistent old guy at the Krusty krab and in the background so whenever they joked around about a character named old man Jenkins, we thought of that guy until the new one came around
I'd say the inconsistencies in this character is shocking, but then I remember how they made spinoffs to "expand the world" but all they did was make retcons to old episodes.
I just cause it's easier to just reuse the Old Man Jenkins nane for any old man character rather than just coming up with a new for every old man character they make.
When people say that continuity doesn't matter in Spongebob, I see what they mean. I do care about certain events tho like Sandy meeting Spongebob or the first episode
Some of the side characters are great. Fred saying "Ow my leg!" Was classic. That's what I love about SpongeBob. Old Man Jenkins is also hilarious, even in a cameo appearance. Old Man Jerkins changed for more humor
Kid Danger: *wearing his mighty pup movie outfit and looks confused* Christ on a Honey Graham Cracker with a Toasted Marshmallow! *covers his pony ears*
I tried to listen to this to go to sleep, unfortunately a massive amount of ads every minute or so completely ruined the listening experience for me. I do completely understand the graft though so respect for getting to a point with your channel that you can monetise it properly 😄 wish the best for the creator and viewers :)
I haven't sat down and watched a SpongeBob episode since the post movie seasons disappointed me, so... literally the third, maybe fourth. Why am I watching this? I'm along for the ride. Lol.
I've always loved the first half of Season 4. Seasons 10 & 11 have some fun strange moments. I still think the peak of Post-Movie SpongeBob is the Broadway Musical (2016-2022 Ethan Slater, not the Sponge who could fly one from 2009)
Hey Alpha what’s up it’s been a long time. Plus I think these character inconsistencies evolving into in universe lore is pretty clever. It turns what was once just an animation act of carelessness and evolve into in universe lore. Kind of like with how Looney tune show create in universe reason for the character doing they’re cliches.
Personally I think Old Man Jenkins is just a nickname for an elderly person like "Old Man Stinky", "Old Man Grouchy", or "Granny Smith" because of their appearance and personality.
Here’s my theories on how there is only one real Old Man Jenkins I think it’s clear that Old Man Jenkins A and Old man Jenkins B are the same character they’re both the only non background characters to be referred to as old man Jenkins and for a while the newer design had the same voice of the older design (his cannonball design does appear in a new episode but then again perch Perkins is both orange and purple so it can basically be excused) also both of them have a farm As for 86 I don’t think his name is old man Jenkins, see in friend or foe we find out that Old Man Jenkins helped out Mr. Krabs and his mom when Krabs was growing up. Now Mr. Krab’s mother is definitely very old so she probably just saw a old guy she was close with and called him old man Jenkins. And as for 91 nobody actually refers to him as old man Jenkins the chocolate guy just says “where’s old man Jenkins?” So maybe old man Jenkins was there and left at some point and the blue old fish is completely unrelated

So my theory is that Jenkins is the last name of a rather large and prestigious family in bikini bottom with people marrying into the family and taking the last name and "Old Man" is just a title given to some of the elderly residents
I think they use that name because people of Bikini bottom forgot who the name of Old man Jenkins actually belonged to. Ergo, they start using the name more frequently is my guesstimate, anyway.
Or maybe it's a secret society or club made up of elderly men name Old man Jenkins ...... and they discuss about old people stuff and how to get on to people
What's up with the censoring of parts you're actively referring to? I get that you want to grind on watchtime, but I think most people would find it annoying and they might leave the video anyway.
I think the reason why we kept confusing them as old man Jenkins is that he was basically the only consistent old guy at the Krusty krab and in the background so whenever they joked around about a character named old man Jenkins, we thought of that guy until the new one came around
Like a SpongeMandela Effect
Right!!
I'd say the inconsistencies in this character is shocking, but then I remember how they made spinoffs to "expand the world" but all they did was make retcons to old episodes.
AND disrespect Hillenburg.
YOU ATE OLD MAN JENKINS!!!!
I don't want to be a burden....😂😂😂😂
WHERE'S OLD MAN JENKINS?!
When I was younger, I honestly thought he said "I don't wanna be a birdie." 😅
I kinda like how modern SpongeBob sorta expands on the characters a bit. They don't always hit it on the head but i can appreciate it.
I just cause it's easier to just reuse the Old Man Jenkins nane for any old man character rather than just coming up with a new for every old man character they make.
Like the name "Dread Pirate Roberts".
I like to think Old Man Jenkins is a title, like Robin in the batman comics
When people say that continuity doesn't matter in Spongebob, I see what they mean. I do care about certain events tho like Sandy meeting Spongebob or the first episode
I feel like old man Jenkins is just a nickname for any grumpy old man in the SpongeBob universe.
Not old man Jenkins!!
For me, Old Man Jenkins will always be the guy stuck inside the belly of the alasken bull worm
Well shucks
Why do you keep changing
@bealea1127 He is a Pokemon, man. Let him do his thang!
I feel like Old Man Jenkins is not a name, but a title at this point
Okay damn, I didn’t think I’d call out your second theory
Old Man Jenkins can be a farmer and someone getting blown out of a cannon in the same episode, and it would be amazing.
Some of the side characters are great. Fred saying "Ow my leg!" Was classic. That's what I love about SpongeBob. Old Man Jenkins is also hilarious, even in a cameo appearance. Old Man Jerkins changed for more humor
I think "old man Jenkins" may be either a title or a placeholder, lets think "John Doe" or even "little Timmy". That's my theory at least
“You ate old man jenkins!”
I hope they explain that their brothers the same last name
Kid Danger: *wearing his mighty pup movie outfit and looks confused* Christ on a Honey Graham Cracker with a Toasted Marshmallow! *covers his pony ears*
I hear nowadays he’s called Hoops! At least that first design is.
He reminds me of hans moleman

I do completely understand the graft though so respect for getting to a point with your channel that you can monetise it properly 😄 wish the best for the creator and viewers :)
THAT’S JUST A THEORY A GAME-
Old man Jenkins is like the will of D from one piece. It’s just a title for the goats

Hi, Jay. Welcome back. Awesome video.
2:17 i’ve seen this episode before, but I never realized just how cheap that walk animation is. His legs move at like 2 FPS
I was just wondering where alpha jay went glad you’re back
Bro's BACK
Oh my God, is this what the Spongebob lore is now?
I’ve always called him Old Man Jenkins Walker or never noticed.
We need an old man character voiced by Phelous who acts like the ‘Old Man’ parody character on his channel! 😂🤣
Bro is back
Great job on this video bro 🐼 🔥
Think you can talk about the Regular Show Thanksgiving Special for a video next?
Yes! Thanksgiving is coming up
Alpha Jay is Back!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
OMJ-A has nostalgia brownie points for me because he was in Lights Camera Pants
I feel it is similar to how South Park has many incidental characters named Nelson, it is probably a funny name to say to the writers
Here’s my theories on how there is only one real Old Man Jenkins
I think it’s clear that Old Man Jenkins A and Old man Jenkins B are the same character they’re both the only non background characters to be referred to as old man Jenkins and for a while the newer design had the same voice of the older design (his cannonball design does appear in a new episode but then again perch Perkins is both orange and purple so it can basically be excused) also both of them have a farm

And as for 91 nobody actually refers to him as old man Jenkins the chocolate guy just says “where’s old man Jenkins?” So maybe old man Jenkins was there and left at some point and the blue old fish is completely unrelated
I always thought the fish looked similar and had different voices because fish look samey in real life.
I like to believe all the different old man jenkins are related and jekins is the family name
Old Man Jenkins to me will always be the one paranoid of city folk and their flying machines
That ending gag falls flat bevause SpongeBob SquarePants is not a video game (in this context).
Still, nice reference.

@TheAlphaJayShow because hes an iconic gag characters but its to change in the sponge bob staff and it could because it's a mandela fact
Theyre clearly all brothers or variants
He returns. Huzzah
"oldster" 😎
"sir" 😓
"this" 💀
Maybe the Jenkins family is just a big family and calling their Seniors "Old man Jenkins" has become common as a family nick (hihi. A pun. XD) name.
Wait what about the drastic changes in Neptune 😭
So my theory is that Jenkins is the last name of a rather large and prestigious family in bikini bottom with people marrying into the family and taking the last name and "Old Man" is just a title given to some of the elderly residents
This is scary too think about oof.
"I knew no good would come from city folk and there internet rumors!"
He's Old Man Jenkins, he's Old Man Jenkins, he's Old Man Jenkins. Is anyone else here named Old Man Jenkins.
My head cannon is that the old man jankens title is given to who is the superior Oldman
Maybe Old Man Jenkins are the friends we made along the way.....
Hey, Jay. It's been a while...
"I don't wanna be a burden."
They’re all old man Jenkins.
They’re married.
I always thought multiple people happened to have the same name and they kept using the name because they thought it was funny.
(Prospector voice) WHERE'S OLD MAN JENKINS?!
Dude, this one gave me a headache! Im still confused as hell! Lol
my headcanon is that they're just a part of the same family
Maybe Jenkins is just a common surname is Bikini Bottom.
The short guy will always be Old Man Jenkins to me, not the bearded one.
Imagine if he was a Cybertronian?!
Old Man Jenkins is the John of Bikini Bottom
Fan Theory they’re old man Jenkins they’re brothers
I think they use that name because people of Bikini bottom forgot who the name of Old man Jenkins actually belonged to. Ergo, they start using the name more frequently is my guesstimate, anyway.
Easy: they all have the same surname because they're all married to each other
Or maybe it's a secret society or club made up of elderly men name Old man Jenkins ...... and they discuss about old people stuff and how to get on to people
Without Stephen Hillenburg Spongebob’s Stories/Characters appear different and makes the show a bit a$$
maybe old man jenkins isnt a person maybe its the idea of old man jenkins the mindset the feeling arent we all old man jenkins in some way?
People who are looking for "lore" and "continuity" in SpongeBob, an episodic comedy show, are weird
WHERE’S OLD MAN JENKINS?!?
I’ll do one better WHY’s OLD MAN JENKINS
Old Mandela effect…
What's up with the censoring of parts you're actively referring to? I get that you want to grind on watchtime, but I think most people would find it annoying and they might leave the video anyway.
this video is chum
MANDELA EFFECT! oooooooooooooooooooooh stttrrrraaannnge
Yooo😂
PLEASE? Pre-Hibernation Week VS Never Friending Story? SpongeBob VS Casagrandes?
The irony of Calling modern SpongeBob uncreative when you've commented this upwards of 3 times is palpable
@@yeezoyoutube? That doesn’t make much sense
@@dippin4dots uh... Which part?
He has no rizz
Old Man Jenkins wasn't the only changed character. Bubble Bass was also making more appearances as well. They both went from cameo to popular.
slopppppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!! slop slop slopppity slop!!! do better.
Old man Jenkins never existed to me
The short green old guy with glasses and a white shirt is old man walker who is actually hoops
It’s because each old man Jenkins dies from old age. These are all just different people/fish who happen to share the same name 😅
Back in their day all boys were named jenkins
@TheAlphaJayShow if you want a voice actor I can help with that as I can do some voice impressions
