agree, Liam's corner got played and gave him bad advice. also, Mitch is a terrible commentator.
It wasn't kicking distance and he didn't lean back, which would have helped this time!
Most of the time in Thai boxing I found the yelling advice is doing nothing but distracting their fighter. I have seen them caused grave loss of Tawahchai the great when he fought in China years ago and got KOed. The corner man kept screaming for him to 'Go forward' don't back down, while the Chinese man got heavier hands. To each his own but I rather teach my boxer in training and prepare every scenario for him , instead of yelling in the actual fight, which will be way too late to teach a fighter. IMHO , to yield whatsoever sort of benefit at all, the ring side teaching should be just a mere reminder. For example , Sittichai's corner never yelled anything to him except 'HAND HAND', to remind him of his guard.
Don't try to blame the very good Nolan's corner.
Nolan kicked badly, put his right hand low, lose his gard. Big mistake.

Looked like he was going for a left knee but got knocked out so his leg extended in the middle of it.

i don't know about the holes, but sinsamut to me isn't one of the best thai fighters--to start with. liam may have a point. he did great here though. hoping to see him get better and better

It is WONDERFUL - really appreciate the high technical skills and the sheer grit these fighters have along with their mutual respect. Haven't checked if this is in the Olympics but it certainly should be.
Damn he’s a big Thai fighter with impressive wins over Nicky holzken and this Liam guy. He has some serious power in those hands and really quick Witt’s and speed to match.

In Mua Thai, a fighter should automatically knows how to defend against the left kick. It is coming 100%, and the question is how to deal with it. Nolan's stance is too predictable. He was going to use that left kick all night, and he did. Klinmee and his team obviously had prepared counters for Noland. This KO is one of the many options to counter the left kick with the left hook. In R1, Nolan was cautious and did exactly what Klinmee expected. On the first 3 left kicks, he blocks and moves backward slightly to minimize the impact. By this time he can assess the power of the kick. On the 4th and 5th kicks, he blocks them but stands in position to measure the distance. For the whole round he assess that there are zero danger from the right side. He pokes a few punches to the inside and a few right kicks to the body just to test Nolan's reaction. He engages in clinching and feels comfortable. He saw everything coming from Nolan (watch at 50% of the normal speed) and steps away from dangerous situation. On the 6th left kick, he blocks it and steps forward to initiate a counter but doesn't not have a favorable position yet. Nolan should have known that something is up when your opponent is no longer retreat. The opportunity comes right in the beginning of R2. Nolan throws a lazy 7th left kick that Klinmee has been waiting for. He steps in closing the distance and bang. Light out. This fight is a good example that fighters must also have the ability to assess the opponent during a fight.

Great observation and dissection! I knew something was up when Liam had no response from the right side, in fact he ate both a kick and a punch to the mid section clean, almost at the end of R1. Sinsamut is a beast.

Liam became too predictable with those kicks. This is what happens when you fight with that side kickboxing stance for too long. Good luck trying to impose your will on a thai fighter with it, and a big one at that.
Even if the left hook was hard, I believe that Nolan's high left kick towards Klinmee turned the hook into a really dangerous counter punch combined with Nolan's momentum. I mean, it spun Nolan off his feet and into the ground. That's what you call perfect timing. Vicious!
Of course KO punches are nothing to do with strength. Any strong person can punch with power. Knockout punches use kinetic energy. You must hit the person when they are least prepared for it and moving towards you. Head on collisions have twice the power. Speed kills

Sinsamut rematching Nieky Holzken under Kickboxing rules or fighting Regian Eersel for the Lightweight Kickboxing title is also great.
Would like to see how Sinsamut does under Kickboxing rules with those big gloves.
Another option would be to drag Superbon Singha Marwin to fight at a 75 KG Catchweight.
Superbon biggest fighting weigh is 73 KG so I'm sure Sinsamut can move 2 KG up to fight Sinsamut at 75 KG ( Sinsamut can easily make 75 KG ).
