    Every time the Jags have been competitive, they’ve been a mean smash mouth type of team. We need to be build like they’re still in the AFC Central. I think we’ll start seeing better results then. We need a really tough coach not Mr. Rogers.

      Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember the Coughlin years, but he built the team precisely to compete with/beat the Steelers. Del Rio wasn’t half-bad at it, either.
      So yeah, you’re spot-on.

      Hence why Tony should be in football operations and Ben Johnson should HC with Mark Brunell OC.

    It's time for Shad Khan to pull out. The Jaguars' offensive line ranked 30th. The defensive line is ranked 26th and the secondary is ranked 29th. Doug is a Superbowl winning coach but It's hard to coach sorry. I blame the GM Trent Baalke his record is 30-64. These are his players and they can't play.

    I'd be surprised if Doug gets another HC job in the NFL after he gets fired from the Jaguars. I also think he knows it. The biggest issue with his regime is that he didn't hold his own people accountable for their mistakes. He let them make excuses for their poor performance and the team quit on him. Everybody started playing for themselves, trying to put good things on tape. Nobody was playing for each other, with maybe a few exceptions. That is never going to work. You need all 52 guys pulling the rope in the same direction, fighting for each other, and also holding themselves accountable for mistakes. I saw it early on this season. The team did not buy in to what the coaches were asking them to do. I think Doug is a good fair weather leader, who accepts all the blame for mistakes. When a storm hits, he immediately starts throwing guys under the bus, because he can't navigate back out of the storm.This team needs a culture change. I just don't know who would want that job.

    The Jags wasn't effetive at running the ball, and Doug had many opportunities durng the season to address the issue. I think the Jags issues date back to 2019, because the faculty was sold on players and not open to looking at other options. The Jags had Parnell, Robinson, Norwell, and Walker. They didn't believe the line could improve.

      Dougs blocking scheme is idiotic they never put blockers in positions to succeed always like tight ends blocking dlinemen sideways cause they are running across the field

    I appreciate what Doug has tried to do generally speaking but they've been massively underperforming outside BTJ and there's way too many quotes from him this year that made me go "WTF did he say?". He's gotta go with Trent, no way Trent can use Doug's failures to cover up his own - just this year alone the awful new defense (which Doug chose to not be involved with) and bad FA class.

  • @jimbojim4767
    @jimbojim4767 20 днів тому +1

    I disagree with Doug doing the best he can. Like he said this league will burn you out. He got burnt out and it showed. First of all when he stop calling plays in 2023 and let Press do it cause it was to much or something and he needed to focus on other things. What were those thing exactly his piss poor game management? This year I don't even think he helped game plan the offense the play design was extremely questionable looked very basic and had none of the creativity of 2022 or 2023 even. Then you see how he acts in all the press conferences barely giving an answer to anything and just looking pissed off and exhausted. Then you look at the personnel decision took way to long to bench some of these guys and get the guys out there that are actually preforming. This team look like it was going through the motions all season long.

    The GM has not given him the players or team to compete. The team has always been kept back by Baalke. Trevor has not had the same WR's any year, everyone can see that the OL has been horrible. Baalke didn't pick up another CB that was severly needed. This is a mess from the GM down.

    Do you think Doug got to draft the players he wanted? Or do you think Trent draft the players he wanted and told Doug to make it work? Or did the entire front office just fail?

    You misunderstood the context of what he said and are speaking from emotion. He was saying he expected to make the playoffs and compete for a spot in AFC championship and/or the Super Bowl, but he didn't expect to be seen as the perennial AFC team running passed others like the Bills and Chiefs to the Super Bowl, he expected to be fighting for that spot along with those top teams. I want Doug fired, but if you're going to criticize him, you should at least take the time to fully comprehend what he said. Also, continuity: the unbroken and consistent existence or operation of something over a period of time.
    Example: "pension rights accruing through continuity of employment"
    *****Similar: continuousness uninterruptedness
    flow progression*****
    Opposite: discontinuity
    2. the maintenance of continuous action and self-consistent detail in the various scenes of a movie or broadcast.
    Opposite: "a continuity error"
    So if you go by what the word actually means, Doug is absolutely correct. There isn't, and there hasn't been any continuity between the front office and the coaching staff, I love your channel, but you didn't understand his point and thus invalidated your own.

    • @DTWD420
      @DTWD420 20 днів тому

      Well regardless Doug has had way too many egregious or off-putting answers to a variety of questions this year that most successful head coaches wouldn't make. I think he's known he would likely be gone midway through the year.

    • @jimbojim4767
      @jimbojim4767 20 днів тому +1

      Why not? The bills got rid of their best WR and everyone thought they would regress now they are one of the best teams in the league. Saying you cant be a perennial super bowl team doesnt make anything better its the same thing that Twigg is saying. Its a loser mindset

    • @4eva633
      @4eva633 19 днів тому +1

      Bruh stop it Doug been sounding soft all year this not the only time he’s said something questionable regarding his expectations with the team and the excuses he brings every week after an L im glad someone finally calling it out

    • @chrayondrayjohnson1635
      @chrayondrayjohnson1635 19 днів тому

      @4eva633 you guys realy lack comprehension skills, don't you. I'm not saying Doug isn't soft or shouldn't be fired, I'm saying TWigg, and clearly, most of you didn't understand what he said nor did you guys have the mental aptitude to understand my point. My point was simple, fire him yes, but if you're paid to report on what he says then at least take the time to use 3rd grade skills and comprehend what he said, otherwise you're no better than him and should be fired from your job also because you're either stupid or a hypocrite. The key to my point was I addressed Twigg directly with the format of my statement. Daft ass people.

  • @larrym9946

    I now know why Philly got rid of Peterson and why 49ers fired Baalke. Mediocre. Not good at their jobs. Leftwich didnt take Jags job last time out because he knew Baalke was bad at player acquisition and Jags needed better GM. Baalke is big part of problem.

  • @larrym9946

    If Shad keeps both or either Pederson or Baalke, spnsors need to bail in droves. Only money talks. Take your money out of your sponsorships and season tickets. Youre throwing it away on Pederson AND Baalke.

      With this current staff and FO it’s been a struggle every single year.
