To be honest it’s probably a lot easier just using a tank or the helicopter, it’s nice that you can use the FBI car so you can take it into the pay n spray but the only problem is you’re going to be using the pay n spray every two seconds to get rid of the wanted level and repairing your car.
I used pay and spray about 4 times to finish LVL 12. On the last level the enemies get real hard, it caught in fire and exploded a millisecond after I cleared LVL 12 lol
@@shaneomacdaddy I found cop bike to be easiest as AK-47 shreds a car. I did vigilante in the desert near the airstrip and duck into town, ditch the bike, grab a parked car then pay and spray, jump back on the bike and get back to it. This was one of the hardest missions to do in GTA SA imo apart from some of the flying school missions. I still have to do the barnstorm missions then I can coast through tags, horseshoes etc
I remember I raged so much cause I used to get to level 11 and my car blew up😭😭 then I realized how easy it is to complete just with a rhino tank, and I passed through them like they were nothing

You’re not doing police work, you’re doing vigilantism, which is illegal and it’s why the mission is called Vigilante. I thought the same as you until I actually bothered to think about it.
The reason the helicopter is better is you can reach the police bribes faster if you need to...if you have enough time, just swoop in, grab the bribe, and swoop out again and either commence the target hunt, or go find more bribes. The more time you have to wipe out targets, the easier it'll be to lower your wanted level to something manageable. If you exit your chosen ride, you only have 60 seconds to re-enter or find another if your current vehicle is destroyed (regardless of the "mission" timer). If you're in a Rhino, you might not reach that bribe, especially if there aren't any around. My choices for Vigilante are : 1)Hunter, 2)Rhino 3), FIB Cheetah, and 4) Enforcer. The enforcer has more durability, but the FIB Cheetah can be taken to Pay&Spray if needed/possible.
When i played this mission on android i needed to steal a rhino from one of the game missions. Because trying to complete vigilante missions on the byke/police car/SWAT van was nearly than impossible.
What i did was doing the wallbreach at the docks to get a boat and i got myself the news heli from the other side and i collected all 100 hidden packages at the very beginning. Then i took the rewarded Hunter heli and did Vigilante level 12 in just 2 minutes. Very easy
As soon as you complete "Copland" the cop outfit is delivered to the Washington Beach PD. Then you can grab it, since you need it to enter the military base without getting blasted. When you enter the locker room, you'll immediately get tagged with a 2-* wanted level, but as soon as you collect it, the *s go away (unless you're already wearing it).
I got my own method with having a VCPD Cheetah due to its fast, agile control and also less overturned when it gets tight turn. And I will equipped myself with the minigun (I buy that after I finished all of the Phil Cassidy's missions), so by the time I get closer to the target I'll just quickly get outta car for 60 seconds time and shoot them with the minigun which is fast, instant and can complete the vigilante's levels in a very fast way. It will be much more fun if the levels put you constantly to the airport due to its wider area so you could easily kill the target without worrying the enemy's car get to close by the time it'll blow out. It takes 60 seconds to failed the game if Tommy is out from the police car BUT it will have more time to instantly kill the enemies with the minigun xd
I did that too but cops always pulled me out when I got back in or if all the cars were too close I could lose my car so I decided to just cruise in the tank instead

Use fbi washington/cheetah 2. utilize your garage at the hyman property since it will repair your car. 3. start the mission downtown as far up north as possible (reason 1: many criminals will spawn in front of the stadium wjere they are easy to pick reason 2: slow cars are more likely to spawn on this west half of VC) 4. use mp5 for driveby and the Spaz Shottie for finishing them off i dont claim this to be the best strat but maybe it helps in one way or the other
I remember being younger playing the original getting to level 75+ and my game started acting weird such as cars spawning in the water, and instantly blowing up before I had a chance to get there, it even skipped level 80, was on 79 and it skipped straight to 81

Can anyone tell think of additional mechanics which could be added to the Vigilante mission to make it a bit more fun/challenging? Can’t see too much different between what we had in San Andreas and GTA 5 and it’s been more that 15 years…..
Different scenarios like a hostage situation/carjacking/... where you need fulfill different objectives. Every level gets harder. And it has more of a mission structure (like gta4 assassination) where you can safe between levels. Last level could be eleminating a mob boss and his posse.
Just park it in your garage and get it do the all cars blow up cheat kill the targets and get back in once the garage repairs the car...etc. Can make millions lol
Use FBI Washington. Get in front of target. Get out and shoot target car in rapid succession with semi auto sniper rifle. BOOM. Done with over 15 minutes to spare.

Cheetah only can be found behind the police station on PC? Dawn R* this makes no sense. Specially that now this Definitive Edition is the same game to all platforms. There is no sense to mantain thia difference like the original PC version did.
All these vigilante strats is sub par in comparison to the one I see my brother in the ps2 of vice city. 1. Take a police cruiser or any vigilante vehicle of interest. 2. Have a garage 3. Start the mission 4. Park the vehicle in the garage 5. Do the exploding vehicle cheat 6. Repeat

It's actually simple, you don't try to aim the chopper down, just fire and it's like it auto targets the bad guys cars. After an hour or so, you're making just hundreds of millions of dollars every 10 seconds or so. Got me my platinum.

everytime I kill the criminal during Vigilante, I get the wanted level...
on 1st to 4th level, just kill them with melee (baseball bat, nightstick or golfclub)to avoid that
