Juva when do you take the new exam? I am so graftul for this big change mostly in reading It is hard fo me read all 4 pasages like the las time that is the task that i get lower score

Hello! I wonder how the reading score will be assessed. I heard that in the former one, it will be 30 when you get 33 raw score. In addition, in the summary question, how will it be assessed when I get two correct answer? Thank you! Your video is so helpful

Hey Juva , what about the scoring of each section , will each section remain out of 30 ? And for the new writing task I practiced 2 questions today . I wrote a response and then it gave me a score of 4.0 because it said that they now mark it using AI so that’s why I’m asking about the grading of the new test . I don’t know what a 4.0 would be if I convert it from 0-30 4.0 - 5.0 was the highest band there was in the table I saw it categorised as good

Hi 😀 So great that you got the course! The course is updated. It includes the new Academic Discussion Task. The Independent Writing Task is also there because it will be used until 26 July and there are students taking the TOEFL before 26 July who need this task.

So let me see if i understand correctly :
the first writing is the integrated task with a passage , lecture and your summary of both right?
and the second writing is just an academic discussion where you have to answer the professor question and you can even use some comments from one of the students to show your agreement or disagreement .
the independent writing has been removed
now are there only two writings? or there are more for each type ?
Hi 😀There are two tasks in TOEFL Writing: the Integrated Task and the Academic Discussion Task. The Independent Task has been removed. I hope this helps!

Hi Juva, I love your videos. I'm a native speaker & I just did the TOEFL IBT today. It's required for government approval in schools. I found the test to be a disaster. All of the passages in reading were extremely dense & were all science & history based. After the 10 minute break, I waited 45 minutes to start the next section. My computer was making a loud sound & the proctor did nothing to help me.
Yeah, I am from Afghanistan, and I am studying English, and we cover Select reding and Insight reading. These books deal with academic topics.

Can you tell me about the results. How much time will it take to get your results. I'll be taking the test on 3rd February and the deadline for my application is 20th February is it enough time to have the results? I'm quite confused please tell me
How much time it takes until you get your results will depend on where you take the test. It will usually take up to two weeks but it may take longer, so I highly recommend having a few extra days in case it takes longer.
hi Juva im from india .today i attend my toefl exam .When the section ends there show 2 scores that are reading 12 and listening 18. what does it mean is that out of 20 and 28 respectively or by 30

This depends on your institution. I recommend checking whether your institution accepts the TOEFL before you register.

That's a great question! So far there is no information on this, but ETS may release something about that in the near future, since the new test will start soon.

Hello Juba. I had a bad experience with TOEFL. On Saturday I had to take my exam and the exam screen closed as it was about to start. The proctor technician tried to enter again and could not. He told me to write an email to ETS saying that they ended my test without even starting it. I am waiting for an answer, but I got very frustrated. 😢 Is there anything else I can do?

So great that you want to take the TOEFL! Whether you are ready depends on the score you need. I suggest taking practice tests, so you can test whether you are ready to go.

Yes, it does include the latest updates 😀. For example, you can find a template, practice tests and sample answers for the new Academic Discussion Task there.
will the changes occure on the paper based test too ?
As far as I know you will get the new test regardless of whether you take it on paper or on a computer.
Did the iBT Home edition change as well?
Yes, the changes also apply to the TOEFL iBT Home Edition.
