I love how this rewatch is just making it more and more obvious who wrote which episodes. Like before I can even double check, it's like oh yeah, Margaret wrote this one.
I really appreciate the set-up done in this episode. Bing is given a sort of emotional climax that we don't get to see at all in the books - good character develops entirely of screen and for reasons we don't understand. It's also a beautiful misdirect because I don't think we understood the meaning of the hot tub at this point. I think it was pretty rare for this show to drop such big hints that people who knew the original story wouldn't necessarily pick up on. A bit of a gamble that really paid off! All in all I loved when changes like this were made and we really got to see how great the show stood on it's own!
I remember when I was first watching the show I kind-of got the significance of the hot tub comment, only because I knew that Gigi and Wickham were involved (because pride and prejudice) and he's a swimmer. Thank you so much for doing these!
I like the moments between Lizzie and Bing in this episode - Ashley you really nailed the look Lizzie gives him when he's midway through saying "would you give her my best?" !
I've watched this series - including all spin-off episodes as well - SO many times, and it wasn't until this Look Back episode when you two reacted to it that I realized the hot tub thing. Oh my gosh. HOW HAVE I ALWAYS MISSED THAT??????
Oh! Yeah, the episode title doesn't really give any idea of the content of this episode. If it did maybe it would be "awkwardness, the class divide, and trying to mind my own business" ... not exactly catchy.
I had somewhat interpreted the extra chillness of Bing about finding out about the videos plus his the most awkward dance ever comment meant that he had seen that ONE video and that was his subtle way of hinting at it and lizzie hadn't brought it up so he had to be less subtle... but I think I was giving Bing more credit than he deserved hah

I think Reynolds is a reference to Mr. Darcy's housekeeper/person that helps run Pemberly house Mrs. Reynolds in Pride and Prejudice.
Yep! And Coach Annesley is a reference to Mrs Annesley who is at Pemberley with Georgiana when Elizabeth meets her. So many references!

Ashley, I made the EXACT same noise in response to Margaret's Bing pun!

It's so adorable that Bing is the last to learn about the videos. Like aw... poor guy...
the episodes are longer and I am weirder is such a good pitch
I can't believe there are only less than 20 episodes left to go!!
this was such a good episode, the acting is really superb here.

"Minding my own business" would have been a great title honestly bc of how many different ways people do and don't do that in this ep lol

good lord..... i forgot how awkward that episode really was (sans the star trek to voltaire references, those are never awkward)
Anyone know if there are any fanfics of Bing watching the videos?
I just checked and saw that Christopher Sean is apparently in none of the videos of the Look Back Diaries? :(
I can’t force people to do things, and if you finish the series you’ll understand why not everyone looks back at LBD fondly.
Just a note to say I also had those earrings and loved them...do you still have yours?
