NJ JPD is one of the youngest international all-girls’ teams in the circuit today, with their youngest dancer at just 12 years old. NJ has many dance groups ranging in age and gender and has been running studios across the Greater Toronto area since 2001.

Raniyaan di Raunaq, the first competition of its kind, is by and for women and underrepresented members of the bhangra community. Raunaq aims to recognize and elevate our dancers’ work as leaders, creators, artists, and competitiors- to embrace the grit, vigor, power, and grace that goes into dancing in a male-dominated space. Raniyaan di Raunaq was established in 2019 by the D.C. Bhangra Crew. DCBC is an all-women’s bhangra team that started in 2008. For the past decade, this team has represented the D.C. metropolitan area in competitions across the country and performances in their hometown.
