Have you left Twitch for good or are you coming back in the future? I was afk due to health reasons for over half a year and suddenly the Ghost was gone 😳)
Thanks for the guide, I have a legacy account I made when the level cap was 50, it took forever to level up way fun back then, I quit and finished all of ffxi after 500 days of play time and getting the best gear in game it’s time to go back to ffxiv it’s going to be hard to adjust to ffxiv it kind of holds your hand, ffxi was brutal especially in the 75 days, anyways good luck? ❤
Being able to use every class and job on one character is one of the greatest conveiences this game has. And I'm glad for it because I'm not doing the MSQ 20 times.
It’s worth playing it again if you haven’t recently. There are so many 2.x MSQ references that are brought back or have massive foreshadowing in 5.x and 6.x storylines.
Only downside is I might want different races for my different classes, but that sounds like way too much effort when I could just have them all on one character. Maybe I could make character presets for each one and pop a fantasia every time I switch classes 😂
@@oakwoodwillows3503 go to the respective guild and join, they are in different cities but fairly easy to find. Look at the map and hover over different points to bring up what they are. I assume you started in Gridania with the archer, so there is still the Carpenter, Pole arm, and leather work and possibly a few that I haven't found yet
one thing to add when choosing a race: Hrothgar & Viera are unable to have certain headgear appear when equipped. They'll get the stats from it, but visually they wont have it on
Well, that will help with my introduction to the game. I downloaded it last night on my xbox , and we'll be playing it after work today. I'm really looking forward to this
If you're trying to play with friends, you'll need someone with a subbed account to help you party up. They can promote one of you and leave. Doing the main quests will boot you from the party so this is only helpful if you're trying to do dungeons with your friend.
Go slowly. I'd also recommend leveling crafting alongside your main adventuring class as crafters can repair your gear up to 199% and it saves you a lot of gil over the leveling period being able to repair your own gear. There's also some fun little stories in the crafting/gathering lines if it's the story content that attracted you to the game.
I wanted to clear one thing up regarding fates, if you don’t level sync it’s not just you don’t get credit but also you can’t even attack the mobs. Great guide!!!!
@@chloe-sunshine7 Shielding for fates? Wouldnt the only fates that you need a shield for be the ones where you have to protect npc´s since they are dumb af?
Im only 25 minutes, but I have to say, if you are worried about watching a guide that's to long, DONT LISTEN TO THAT VOICE IN YOUR HEAD! There is an amazing amount of good info here that will help you more than any other shorter videos. OK. Time to finish.
I just started playing during the Xbox beta. I’ve played almost every major mmo and I was skeptical of this at first but am actually having a ton of fun. Thanks for making a very clear guide to help me get started.
I've been playing for three years and this guide is amazing! I'm only 30 min in, but it covers so many of the essentials! Definitely sending this to friends, and keeping it in my back pocket if I know anyone else who wants to start playing!
Great Guide Ghost, one thing i would like to add cause i dont remember you going over it in the armoury section is DONT let Gear/Weapons you got from running content land in the Armoury Chest, managing that THING is a task on its own, especially if you got multiple classes unlocked and have to sort every set, you dont want random stuff cluttering that space to make it extra difficult to manage gearsets, this migth not be a problem at the start but better you never even get into that issue cause i was loosing my mind as a new player a few years back trying to figure out what i need and whats junk. To avoid this go into Character Configuration > Control Setting > Character > uncheck "store all newly obtained items in the armoury chest". My apologies if you mentioned it somewhere and i didnt recognize hearing it 🙏. You showed the menu for it a few times and hovered over it but didnt explicit mention it and it was driving me nuts 😂😅
I just started ff14 two days before and I want to say, this game does everything perfectly. I have not even seen the whole game but the way it doesnt choke you and still maintains its challenging stroyline contact has made me fall in love. The game makes everything simple and easy. You can see it everywhere, cities are there for npcs to feel more alive. They want you to play the storyline, so they make it simple and progressing. Everything is just pitch perfect
A note about what you said about unlocking jobs - you cannot change from your first job until you complete the Level 10 job quest, as that unlocks the armoury and gives you permission to join other guilds. You mentioned ninja, but rogue, the class you need to unlock to get this, is only available by unlocking the armoury. This is because they hadn't finished tuning rogue before the game released so they couldn't include it with that other eight classes.
as someone who used to play years ago and just came back i was confused about getting ninja, i always thought i needed 15 pug and 30 rogue to get ninja but they removed that i think? wich is nice but if i knew that i wouldnt have started as a pug xD
My biggest tip is changing where freshly obtained gear goes. Have it go to your standard inventory then move it to your armoury chest if it's something you're keeping. The game throws a lot of random gear bits at you and the armoury chest is pretty small, it fills up & gets messy very quick if all looted gear is going in there.
thanks for the guide, I just started a few weeks ago and luckily I have my son with 1000's of hours in this game assisting and guiding me thru this but this guide has helped a lot with some stuff he hasn't went over yet.
Wow, I couldn't ask for better timing! Got myself a new setup which finally enables me to play FF14 and it's coming in tomorrow! Looking forward to play the game ^^
Oh my goodness! Where were you three years ago when I started playing this game? What a great beginner guide. And yes, three years later I’m still watching beginner guides. Please keep up the good work.
One thing to clarify; Road to 80 isn't explicitly 90 days, it's 90 days OR however long that world keeps preferred status, whichever is longer. I started on Dynamis a year ago and still have road to 80
This is not quite true. It’s only as long as the “New World” status is applied. If the star is on an established world that just recently had its status changed to preferred, then the 90-day clock is in effect. Dynamis is in the OCE center I believe, and they have extremely low populations. Since there are fewer worlds, most people transfer to the EU or NA data center for required group content. This is especially true for 24-man raids. To combat this, SE has extended the new world status here nearly indefinitely.
@@BlakeAustin2011 Dynamis is in the NA server, but everything else you said sounds correct. I didn't remember there being a difference between New and Preferred, my mistake
I may be level 53 Dragoon, but I'm STILL considering myself a beginner. There is SOOOOOOOOOO much that I just don't know. So thank you for making a new, updated one. I appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this! Just started playing on my PC lately and I'm absolutely hooked. Was having a lot of difficulty switching classes and having to re-equip all of my gear; without your video I wouldn't have known there were easier ways to do that, so thank you!!
I've only been playing for a couple of months, and this showed me several things I still didn't know. There's only one thing I've found out on my own that you didn't tell new players in this video: Even if you hate PvP, running the Frontline roulette every day is worth it for several reasons. First, if you go into it when it's first available at level 30, the roulette XP is insane, and could give you two levels per match. Second, the PvP currency you'll rack up will let you buy a bunch of ilevel 110 gear from the PvP vendor as soon as you hit level 50!
Getting a static is the Hard core end game. I have been jumping fc's and people just are not doing the raids but instead are making the house or there guear fabulous🎉 because they already did everything.
Crazy that I got this game and looked for a guide LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER this video dropped. Perfect timing. I highly appreciate the time and effort put into this!
24 minutes in and wow this game is so user friendly and such a smooth UI. My main issue in say WoW is too many confusing menus and not enough clear options of how to compare gear or scroll through your gear without it being a block of different color items and a lot of text that could blur together. This game really seems to have learned from others before it and made the UI inviting and easy to grasp and very easy to read. I have a lot of time in swtor and RuneScape and things are fine in those but this is something that seems perfect. My favorite part of this video is how you'll repeat a basic idea later on in the video. Take I and control+I, you show and explain it twice a hour apart allowing it to sink into our brains. It's a really kind helpful thing to do that I wish other guides would do.
As for the glamour dress, you don't have to keep using the dye as long as you have set it in the dresser room. Also you can set it to auto apply glamour by open up the gear set list from the character menu, set the shortcut job/class as "change glamour plate link". This will automatic apply to the specific glamour plate. Kinda take note that some shared geared only applicable in the town. You will know this better when you have multiple jobs sharing the same gears but want to have different looks,
Great guide once again. Thank you. I'll be sure to link this to new players as I have done with your last one. It was my Bible when I first started XIV and I'm very grateful for the in-depth information. Have a great day!
Finished whole MSQ including latest few quests which came out few days ago (6.55). Now onto Hildibrand questline and also time to rank up my grand company status! Lots of stuff to do, lots of fun! I like how the game runs and plays smoothly. Also the music is excellent.
This video is a godsend. Ive got about 300 hours in the game and theres still so much that I dont know. Def saving this and coming back to it to make lots of tweaks to settings. Thanks, Lucky!
I clicked this guide not realizing it was created by Luck Ghost. I was thrilled when I recognized the voice since his content helped me immensely when I was starting to play ESO. One of the best game guide gurus on youtube.
Regarding Hall of the Novice, if you do all 7 missions it gives you a ring that has good stats for starting out, plus also it boosts your XP gain up until level 30! I'm actually still using it for the stats despite being level 40 because I haven't found anything better yet 😂 so it's 100% worth doing!!
I'm not the Legend, you are. This video took an immense amount of time to put together. I have played the game in the past but not enough to where I know even 5 minutes worth of information that you have shared in this one and a half hour masterpiece. I feel like somebody could spend the hour and a half watching this and make an informed decision on whether or not they even want to play the game based on everything that you have shared. Thank you this video. I know it took forever to put together and it's appreciated.
I have played many many hours of WoW but my friend has convinced me to try FF14 for first time. You have made a phenomenal guide thank you I'm excited to start.
It’s been more than 10 years since I’ve played this game. Just saw that it was free trial on Xbox. Started playing again and I get goosebumps back to my childhood. Best game ever.
Little did I know three months ago that I was gonna get obsessed with this damn game. Grateful you put out this refreshed and comprehensive guide, and thank you for slowly getting me back into MMOs
A thing to add/notice is that in order for the Gear Sets to be appearing in the first place, you need to click that little + sign above. For me it was not immediately evident, as I thought that such a set will automatically be generated as soon as I chose the first job, or a new one :).
My SO started to get into gaming more and more. And out of all the genre out there, she gravitated to MMO then found FF14. This is a huge help for the both of us since this would be our first mmo that we would start playing together. Thank you for this very informative video!
I was wondering how to do certain things and I am so glad I watched the whole video! I actually learned even more than I thought. I am only around level 30 so I am still fairly new to the game. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this for everyone!
I have nearly 500 hours in this game (which is still a lot less than most players) but there were plenty of things in this that I didn't know about. Great video!
58:02 24 player raids, I just wanna point out, 3 pathways and groups of enemies for this will be in threes. See there is 3 garm chimera enemies, meant 1 for each alliance party's own individual tank. Each 8 player party is an Alliance by letters A, B, C. Top of party list, you see Lucky Ghost is "Alliance A" currently. Alliance A party always go to the left, Alliance B is the middle and Alliance C is on the right. This is how the devs divide the party groups up for this kind of content when pathways split up or what enemies are assigned to that alliance party to attack. So doing the same 24 man raid again, you might be in a different alliance letter. Say your first time was Alliance B, middle. Now this time is Alliance C, right. You will have to go in a different direction when it breaks up to different paths to stay with your alliance party. I see many players not with their group, so they'll be out of range to get heals and die or miss on a party mechanic, or a confused tank attacking an add meant for another alliance party's tank lol. You can also place lettered waymarks to help new players so they know where to go, and explain what the letter means accordingly. Remember your current party alliance letter: A = left B = middle C = right
So happy u do ff14 content now. You were my fav eso channel but honestly i got sick of it after a year and i ll never go back now thst i found ff14! Looking forward to watching your content again
This video was immensely helpful in getting my bearings! My friends who play have tried to help, and they did a lot, but this video filled in many of those gaps still left behind. Thank you!
@LuckyGhost First, great detailed guide. I never played FFXIV and I learned a lot. Things that I don't understand: 1. What happen when you die? You mention that you need to fix your stuff. I guess it costs money, and a lot. I tried to search for more information but every post/guide said something completely different. Some saying that you losing abilities, some saying HP. I'm confuse now. 2. I lost you with your classes/jobs description. First you said that if you choose a class you can't change it then you said that you can have all jobs at one character. What's the different between classes and jobs? 3. No information about crafting. 4. Can you move between zones by just walking? or you must pay every time to teleport? 5. What content is free to play? Sometimes you mention that you need expansion X to use this feature/ability/class/job, but new players don't know which of them is free to play. Things to improve for the next version of this guide :)
I just wanna say this is a really good guide! I've been playing for about a year now (so not really the intended target for this) and even I managed to learn a couple things from this (I didn't know about the option to show all inventory at once and will definitely start using that). I've seen a lot of guides for more intermediate players and those are great, but it sure is nice to have a comprehensive guide like this designed for brand new players, timestamped and all. Very nice! And to any new players who happen to see this, I hope you have fun exploring Eorzea and experiencing the story, it's a really great ride!
I cannot stress enough how helpful this video is. I just got into FFXIV, and this video made entering this game's world so much easier. Thank you very much!
Absolutely take your time. You might want to rush to catch up with other players. By the time you do, those players you wanted to play with. Got game fatigue. Stopped playing or left the FC. Milk every expansion. The game gets better because you experienced the prior expansions. I know so many people who rushed. Got to the end. Made a new character and did it all over. Because they wanted to understand why the end of the story was so great. People/ players literally get very emotional during the story. If you want that experience. You have to get to know the characters.
Just started playing. My wife has been playing for a bit now. Great guide for me. Wife has helped me out, she is my sugar momma in game, giving me Gil and stuff I need.
not only are your guides the BEST, but i now watch your guides to games ive never played to see if i wanna play em =) thank u so much for your awesome videos!!!!! they truly are the best guides out there!
you picked a fantastic MMO to be your first. It will be confusing at first, but don't worry thats normal! just go at your own pace and enjoy. before you know it, you'll know it all too well!
As a vet MMO player starting back with ultima online to competitive world first guild “might” in wow I burned out with mmos , after years i downloaded the beta out of boredom ugh im hooked hands down the mmo i should have never overlooked best mmo so far ! We shall see how end game holds up
Just started this game 2 weeks ago. Easily in the top 5 best game I played on xbox series X I bought the starter edition and pre order next expansion definitely will play intensively for a while. Amazing game. I tried both controller and mouse keyboard and its surprising how well the game plays with the controller. Yes, the game is expensive but in my opinion it really worth it. The game is huge!
Fantastic guide! I've not played for quite a while, so I watched this as a refresher. You mentioned leveling alt classes quite a bit, but never mentioned that you get boosted XP on alts once your main class is high enough. Very important to know!
Holy cow this is definitely getting bookmarked. I just started and got to level 50 before learning what this cross hot bar thing is 😅😅😅 ALSO! Don’t solo Q for Extremes cuz it’ll force people on Roulette into your Party 😅 Learned that the hard way torturing poor souls for hours but they didn’t get too mad at me lol
Returning player after two years. Learned a ton in almost every section on this video and have watched it three times now. Take my like and sub you fine sir….ghost…guy.
One thing that grabbed my attention about the hunting log, your grand company requires you to do the hunting log for it for you to advance on the ranks. I just tried to get past private and was told nope have to do level 1 hunting log for the company before they consider it.
I have hundreds of hours on the FFXIV free trial and will put in a few hundred more before I buy it (I've finished ARR but haven't started Heavensward). That being said I can't wait to watch all of this video while playing some more FFXIV.
There was a short time I did play FF14 before losing interest and dropping out of it. When it popped back up on Xbox, I decided to give it another go and so far I’ve had a blast in doing all the jobs. Ironically enough, I had no idea about the mount and thought that was towards the middle or endgame. At level 20 though? That tells me I should get back on the main story quest line and get to Ifrit so I can get me a mount to use. Already I’m glad I watched this video and I still got another hour to watch. Thank you.
Thank you for a great guide. I have played so many MMORPGs since EQ. There were a few systems I was not familiar with in FF14 and this video really helped me understand them.
It might be just me, but I think for new players there is one section that is missing massively, and that is a section on free trial and all of its limitations (up to the end of Stormblood, no Ultimate raids, no retainers or market board, gil limit, no parties, locked classes and races, etc.)
great guide thanks a lot, i just started ffxiv 4/20/24, after playing ffxi for 17 years, i wish i started sooner, i was very lost, so many new things, this game is gigantic and the graphics are amazing, i need to get use to the macro system since ive used gamepad all my life cant start using mouse and keyboard now lol
For the Maps (both mini and the main map) to zoom in or out, mouse over the map and roll the middle mouse back and forth to zoom in or out. (For PC) Thanks for the video, I learnt a few new things I missed. :)
Thank you for this fantastic guide! I am new and going into FFXIV completely blind (I haven't played a Final Fantasy game before, nor an MMO). This was super helpful and I feel a lot more confident going into it now. It was hard to get through the whole video and be patient though, because of how bad I want to play it lol thanks again!
Fantastic startup guide. I wanted to start the game last year but felt totally overwhelmed by what I thought I needed to know. This has made it a lot more understandable Thank you
"Glam'd items dont apply to the slot, but to the item"... Thats a great point! Applying to the slot would be so much better. Also, great guide! Im playing since 1.0/ARR and theres things in this video i didnt even know about lol
I have tried the game briefly and both PC and (when I had it) PS. Since I mainly play on Xbox again these days (there is just something about, when finishing a long shift at work, just being able to collapse on your sofa and grab a controller and play), I’m definitely going to give FF another try when it releases for Xbox later this year. Having Old School RuneScape and Elder Scrolls Online as the only other 2 MMO’s I’ve played, it is definitely a large learning curve to try and get to grips with the game, but the lack of having items you can only get through crates (I’m looking at you ESO) and the (apparently) incredible story that the game has, I’m desperate to finally be able to get into the game, especially with other games stagnating quite a bit in recent years
this is honest to god the thing that made me finally download the game. Was always on the edge of starting and seeing such a good guide was the final straw.
With the new dlc making all my FFXIV veteran friends play this game again, I'll be going along with them as a complete beginner with the help of this guide
Back in the old days those important blue side quests were not marked blue with the plus symbol. They were marked as any other side quest😂 It was like that all of ARR and heavensward when i started playing January 5 2016. I think it was on an update when stormblood came out. But yes like he said, look up the description to see what the quest has to offer. Don't worry about the job ones but the ones that will unlock raids wether normal or alliance raids and trials which are the most fun to do. Sometimes the first one won't unlock anything. You got to progress further
I'm so excited for all the new players coming into FFXIV this year, especially the Xbox players! You've been left out for too long, but now you can hop in with a metric ton of content, a great guide above to help, and with the updates coming with 7.0 and onward, this is truly the definitive time to be playing FFXIV! Welcome to Eorzia, fellow Warriors of Light.

@@slashreign why?
@reigningslash ya but that doesn't pay my mortgage. Do people often ask you to decline compensation for your job?
@@slashreign imagine being too lazy to skip it if it bothers u so much smh
Being able to use every class and job on one character is one of the greatest conveiences this game has. And I'm glad for it because I'm not doing the MSQ 20 times.
It’s worth playing it again if you haven’t recently. There are so many 2.x MSQ references that are brought back or have massive foreshadowing in 5.x and 6.x storylines.
Only downside is I might want different races for my different classes, but that sounds like way too much effort when I could just have them all on one character. Maybe I could make character presets for each one and pop a fantasia every time I switch classes 😂
@@chloe-sunshine7 can always fantasia
How do you unlock all the jobs later on? I only unlocked archery and lumberjack after being a conjurer.
I'm really looking forward to this
Just Downloaded it tonight too. Lot to learn

Doesn't stop me from giving my level 7 friends shields that are like triple their health so they practically can't die.

Im only 25 minutes, but I have to say, if you are worried about watching a guide that's to long, DONT LISTEN TO THAT VOICE IN YOUR HEAD! There is an amazing amount of good info here that will help you more than any other shorter videos. OK. Time to finish.
😊 thanks
I just started playing during the Xbox beta. I’ve played almost every major mmo and I was skeptical of this at first but am actually having a ton of fun. Thanks for making a very clear guide to help me get started.
Man I knew this was the best mmo I'm so happy I can play it, right now in begging them to take my money now lol
I've been playing for three years and this guide is amazing! I'm only 30 min in, but it covers so many of the essentials! Definitely sending this to friends, and keeping it in my back pocket if I know anyone else who wants to start playing!
thanks so much for sharing!
I just started on xbox and all I can say is.... THANK YOU!!!
Same here bro. Been waiting for it to come to us since the 360 days
Hope you enjoy your journey!
It’s straight up magical innit 😍🤣
I just remembered it came to Xbox and I couldn’t be happier. I play on PS5 but I love that more people get to join the fun! Good luck!

This kind of attitude is a perfect example of why the FFXIV community is so great.
This man sacrificed his sanity for our entertainment. God speed my man
I just started ff14 two days before and I want to say, this game does everything perfectly.
Open world?
A note about what you said about unlocking jobs - you cannot change from your first job until you complete the Level 10 job quest, as that unlocks the armoury and gives you permission to join other guilds. You mentioned ninja, but rogue, the class you need to unlock to get this, is only available by unlocking the armoury. This is because they hadn't finished tuning rogue before the game released so they couldn't include it with that other eight classes.
Great point!
wow and they left it like that for 10 years
as someone who used to play years ago and just came back i was confused about getting ninja, i always thought i needed 15 pug and 30 rogue to get ninja but they removed that i think? wich is nice but if i knew that i wouldnt have started as a pug xD
I literally just started the game this week. Perfect timing. Thank you!!!
Heck ya! Enjoy!
I started 3 weeks ago. I love it soooo much. Only tip I have is don't skip the story.
Wooow! Same with me, thank you for the video!
I'm thinking of starting myself. How complicated is it to get started?
@@Bloodbornepro.Once you install the game is not difficult at all. This guide helps a ton understanding thing.
As someone who has played this since the beginning this guide is awesome, keep up the amazing work!
Thanks a ton!
Wooohooo I'm new 2

This is absolutely ESSENTIAL viewing for anyone even thinking of starting this game. Thank you so much for taking the time out to make this video.
So much effort put into this! Even someone who's played for years loves this kind of content, good job!
thanks so much for taking the time to comment!
I got about five jobs to level 90 and the rest are at least over level 65 and I'm very much still a beginner! Got my lil sprout and everything!
Your last guide got me into the game. I'm now a savage raider with a static and couldn't be happier.
Nice work! I love to hear that!
Getting a static is the Hard core end game. I have been jumping fc's and people just are not doing the raids but instead are making the house or there guear fabulous🎉 because they already did everything.
As someone who played 4 years ago and forgot absolutely everything about the game, this was so needed! Thank you!
You will know this better when you have multiple jobs sharing the same gears but want to have different looks,
i just started on xbox last night, and i’ll def be coming back to this video during my journey ! thank you for posting this ❤
Great guide once again. Thank you. I'll be sure to link this to new players as I have done with your last one. It was my Bible when I first started XIV and I'm very grateful for the in-depth information. Have a great day!
Thank you! :)))
Leaving this commemt so the algorithm knows this still hits
I appreciate you
Finished whole MSQ including latest few quests which came out few days ago (6.55). Now onto Hildibrand questline and also time to rank up my grand company status! Lots of stuff to do, lots of fun! I like how the game runs and plays smoothly. Also the music is excellent.
Recently started playing for the first time in like 8-9 years. Re-started from scratch so this guide was great.
Hall of Novice rewards a 30% xp ring for sub 30 jobs when you complete the first role. Very worth it.
this deserves way more likes. Ive got over 2k hours in game but i watched the entire thing, well done.
Heyyyy thanks so much
Am a returning player. And thank youu!!! This is a great guide. I made it to the end and if anyone’s a legend, it’s you!! Preciate it
Regarding Hall of the Novice, if you do all 7 missions it gives you a ring that has good stats for starting out, plus also it boosts your XP gain up until level 30!
24h ago I resubed to FFXIV after a year. Logged in, I was lost. Then this video pops in my recomendations. I couldn't ask for better timing lol.
dude im literally redownloading it right now after i dont even know how long off....need a big refresher course lol
I couldnt be happier to start this on xbox for free. Just finished BG3 so now I have something to switch to. Thanks for this vid.
My SO started to get into gaming more and more. And out of all the genre out there, she gravitated to MMO then found FF14. This is a huge help for the both of us since this would be our first mmo that we would start playing together. Thank you for this very informative video!
That moment when you have 6k hours in the game and you still learn something new in a beginner guide... 😅😓😅
Haha that's what I aim for !
Just started this again now that the level cap in free trial increased and watched this in one sitting. Great explained and all that i needed. Cheers.
Remember your current party alliance letter:
A = left
B = middle
C = right
This is perfect timing! I literally just downloaded and started playing this yesterday.
As a player with 160 hours this video still helped me tremendously! So well done thank you so much!
Just started playing last night and this guide is a godsend. I feel so much more prepared to tackle the early game with this vid in my back pocket.
So happy u do ff14 content now. You were my fav eso channel but honestly i got sick of it after a year and i ll never go back now thst i found ff14! Looking forward to watching your content again
Watching this to prepare for the Xbox Series X release. Great Video.
Literally just getting back into the game so this is a refresher been looking for a good Recent Guide.
This video was immensely helpful in getting my bearings! My friends who play have tried to help, and they did a lot, but this video filled in many of those gaps still left behind. Thank you!
@LuckyGhost First, great detailed guide. I never played FFXIV and I learned a lot.
Things that I don't understand:
Glad to hear it!
I just got the game last night, thank you so much on making such a deep guide and please make more stuff like this it's so good
Absolutely take your time.
Wife has helped me out, she is my sugar momma in game, giving me Gil and stuff I need.
not only are your guides the BEST, but i now watch your guides to games ive never played to see if i wanna play em =) thank u so much for your awesome videos!!!!! they truly are the best guides out there!
thats so cool! I love that, thank you for sharing!!
You uploaded just in time! I just started playing FFXIV today and needed this video to help ease me in to my first MMO 😅
you picked a fantastic MMO to be your first.
I just started and got to level 50 before learning what this cross hot bar thing is 😅😅😅
ALSO! Don’t solo Q for Extremes cuz it’ll force people on Roulette into your Party 😅 Learned that the hard way torturing poor souls for hours but they didn’t get too mad at me lol

And that two years I never stopped being a sprout 😭 literally had no idea what was going on but I was doing alright lol
One thing that grabbed my attention about the hunting log, your grand company requires you to do the hunting log for it for you to advance on the ranks. I just tried to get past private and was told nope have to do level 1 hunting log for the company before they consider it.
300 hours into the game in the middle of Stormblood and this video gave me a bunch new info i never knew about haha
Awesome writeup as always! And very important, as Xbox is getting the beta tonight! YAAAY! It's finally happening!!
This was so helpful, as I was currently downloading the game and just happen to see this video. Thanks for the Guide!
Glad I could help!
(For PC)
Thanks for the video, I learnt a few new things I missed.
This has made it a lot more understandable
Thank you
man I have been a runescape completionist for like 20 years but I think I want to try this now after seeing a bunch of vids lately
hmm
Really good and helpful for newcomers and returned players like me
Love this video! Just got the free trial to start off, watching this video while i wait for the long download to finish
I’m new to this game but not MMO’s. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for the effort and work!
Having Old School RuneScape and Elder Scrolls Online as the only other 2 MMO’s I’ve played, it is definitely a large learning curve to try and get to grips with the game, but the lack of having items you can only get through crates (I’m looking at you ESO) and the (apparently) incredible story that the game has, I’m desperate to finally be able to get into the game, especially with other games stagnating quite a bit in recent years
nice, hope you enjoy it on xbox!
this is honest to god the thing that made me finally download the game. Was always on the edge of starting and seeing such a good guide was the final straw.
I've just started playing! Have already sunk about 4hrs just enjoying the vibe exploring and doing city quests. Excited to learn more!
dude I loved your video, some guides when you watch them they turn you off of the game but yours just made me more excited to play it.
With the new dlc making all my FFXIV veteran friends play this game again, I'll be going along with them as a complete beginner with the help of this guide
GOOD INFORMATION, THANKS MY DUDE
I'm trying to get into this game for like the 3rd time. different reasons indeed but now maybe ....14 years later
Back in the old days those important blue side quests were not marked blue with the plus symbol. They were marked as any other side quest😂
It was like that all of ARR and heavensward when i started playing January 5 2016.
Time to settle in with some popcorn!
Thanks for making this!!
