Ka is the rapper that really changed my whole musical outlook and landscape. I study his lyrics and have even written down my favorite barz! I really actively listen and attentively observe what is being said. It actually replenishes my energy rather than doing the opposite. He really is a true philosopher and a street prophet who doesn’t even do it solely for the profits! Everything he says is money though! I appreciate you spreading word on your platform! 💪🏿💪🏿🙏🏿
Since I know real Hip Hop fans will be in this comment section check out At Large Auteur he is a supporter of Skye and a up and coming Hip Hop producer, Animator, Painter, and Rapper. his album L$D TV is out now
I smtimes think im the only person in this world who loves to geek out bout things and feel very frustrated about how society consumes art(prime example when ppl tell me ka is boring). thx prof for the public nerd-services you provide for my hungry mind❤
This is nota review, its an accompanying piece. Thank you, was very educational. Met Ka few months ago during a Roc Marciano concert in Amsterdam. Very kind man. For some reason he doesn't do live shows though, he was just there chilling. Anyway, listen to his older albums!!! All of them. Don't let the system of your own choosing hold you back. They are same quality or even better..
Animoss is a producer he worked with previously and has made an album together with as Hermit and the Recluse in 2018. As far as selling crack, he's implied it before in his 2016 album Honor Killed the Samurai and in 2020's Descendants of Cain, with the lines "Left for dead, start moving rocks like Easter Sunday" and "Surprised I didn't get high from what I was low enough to behold" He's truly top tier, love your videos.
Damn thats a lot of fires! I know the struggle my audio did the same thing my first draft of me ranking every single Griselda album on a tier list (96). Was an hour long video, but the second one turned out well. In Chicago recording my third album
Ka is the life force or spiritual double of the person. The royal Ka symbolized a pharaoh's right to rule, a universal force that passed from one pharaoh to the next.
lovely review. thank you. to echo some sentiments in the comments, commentary on previous Ka records would be great. In that regard, perhaps you could consider reviewing them on Patreon? Maybe the following suggestion is a bit out of your comfort zone, but I will preach it nonetheless. If you name a price, we can crowd fund a review of a certain record in his back-catalogue. It's not about the money for me, it's about the culture. anyhow, point is that we appreciate your commentary. Condolences for your loss, Prof. All love. x.
Hey, I’m from the UK and would love to hear your opinions on Akalas fire in the booths. His lyrics have been studied at universities and gives great insight into his and much wider problems.

@@professorskye no worries, great video/review as usual. Ka is my #4 Emcee all-time. (Heavy praise, I know...but I'm sure you won't argue)

Languish Art / Woeful Studies. LAWS. Benign neglect.

Big Ka listener from Framingham, Massachusetts. Excellent selection!
I spent many hours in your fine arcade, Fun And Games.
You need to keep making these reviews! Your willingness to preserve hip hop culture is needed!!!

Funny that you mention Rubble Kings during your review of Ka's album, since he made a song for the documentary : Delaney Card.
Criminally underrated channel

Being needed by people is indeed an important part of community and creating a healthy life
I came across Ka for the first time in 2022. Orpheus vs The Sirens is the project that's grabbed me the most but I love everything of his I've heard.
Gonna check that out.
His most consistent work thematically both in terms of lyrics and production.
Sirens is one of my favorite songs ever!

ONE OF THE BEST REVIEWERS ON UA-cam!
Plz go back and review his earlier work. It's a treasure chest of density.
We need descendants of Cain and Honor killed the Samurai

I honestly think Woeful Studies is better than Languish Arts overall (sonics included). It hits closer to home in many ways
Thank you reviewing this album two times
