Many times, Kabir, when children have been removed from a parent they just snap. They don't think about what brought it to that point. Someone like him, I doubt it was a good place for children. I shouldn't judge anyone, but he doesn't present as a nice guy with self control. If he behaves this way with authority figures and adults, you question what his control level was with his children.

@araparseghian2 I'm sorry for what happened. You're right, often times parents have very different motives when seeking custody. The kids I represented were very good indicators of what was actually true. Many times the kids didn't want to open up, but you can read kids pretty well when something is off. All too often kids are pawns in a contentious relationship.

It is both rewarding and heartbreaking. My parents adopted two of my brothers. My mom got a phone call from my then 5 year old brother who was crying and said he was scared, cold, and hungry and alone. My mom and dad rushed over to his apartment and he was alone with no food, the heat was off (it was -20 that night). They called the cops and their lawyer. Both my parents were certified as emergency foster parents so the courts allowed him to go home with us. His mom showed up two weeks later and demanded to have her son back saying my parents stole him. They went to court and his mom was basically offered host a bunch of charges OR pay some fines, do community service, and give up all parental rights. She couldn't agree to that fast enough. She didn't want my brother he was "holding her back from having the life she deserved". My parents couldn't sign the papers to get custody of my brother fast enough so he was in a safe, loving, stable home and to show him love/stability and letting him get to be a child. My parents made sure she and her then bf (who she took off with when she left him alone at 5) weren't in his our our families life. The second brother who was adopted came from a heartbreaking situation of his biological mother was very sick, his dad was working 80 hours a week to try and pay for typical living expenses and his wife's medical treatment. So they asked my parents to take him in and give him the stability and care they couldn't give him at that time. So they did it out of pure love for him. They have never left his life or ours. Both adoptions were done while my mom was pregnant with me so they went from two kids to five within one month. So when I was born my parents had two 5 year old's, and two three year old's and a newborn. We all had an amazing childhood and taught family isn't just those your biologically related to family is that and who we choose to have in our life.

The shooter was a gang member and over the course of five days in court he was quite a handful. In his various outbursts he threatened 2 witnesses, the prosecutor, the court bailiff, the jury foreman and his own defense attorney.

I sort of love the charges against the fourth guy, Michael Ray. Criminal trespass, 2nd degree assault, terroristic threatening... and _failure to wear a seatbelt._ I'm pretty sure that's what TVTropes would call "Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking", considering that's just a misdemeanor and all the others are felonies. Of course, there's two reasons why that can happen. One possible reason is that the prosecutor doesn't think that one or more of the other charges isn't going to stick. Another possible reason is that if the police suspect you of a serious crime, but don't have enough evidence to justify pulling you over, is to use a minor charge (such as not wearing a seatbelt) to provide a reason to pull you over and hopefully find some evidence.

    • @nancyannschroeck
      @nancyannschroeck 3 роки тому

Another reason could be that the guy acted the same way with the police so they charged him with every thing they possibly could.
I have seen cases where the charges are (eg.) Felony Murder, Murder 3, Manslaughter when the prosecution has evidence but it's inadmissible or the defendant is a celebrity or LE so they aren't sure if reasonable doubt can be overcome.
Of course it could also be an aggressive, charge-happy prosecutor but seeing how that guy acted in a bond hearing it doesn't seem so in this case.

In court being stupid is the wrong time I do love watching the criminals and their families/ usually parents from screwing up raising their kids than cry because they are going to jail or get the death penalty for being stupid and evil.

Kabir, what you watched was nowhere near the 5 most disrespectful. I have seen videos of defendants attacking the attorneys, witnesses, and even trying to get to the judge. You are obviously a very logical guy, but these people have no sense of logic. Thus they are in the positions they are in.

That judge should have let that mother stay in jail for the full 93 days. The only reason she was crying was because she got caught and held responsible. If she hadn't gotten arrested, she would have kept on talking shit, and being abominably disrespectful to the victims' family. The fact that she was doing it right in the courtroom makes it beyond despicable. I'm amazed that judge only gave her one day. People get a year or more for absolutely stupid things, and that lady got a day. Astounding.

Another show you should do a reaction to called Lockup on MSNBC that shows a day in the life inside the toughest prisons in America. Also check out Beyond Scared Straight which would take teens that were getting in trouble and put them inside an actual jail with inmates and the inmates and police officers try and scare them to follow the law.

After watching this I've realized that I couldn't and wouldn't ever want to be a Judge. They really do have to put up with a lot of stuff, from a lot of people and I imagine it's an incredibly stressful thing to have to deal with and to go home with at the end of the day. Had someone asked me before I saw this what I thought some of the most stressful jobs were, Judges would not have been on my list, but now I'd say they belong in the top five of that list.

I've seen these before. It's just mind blowing how some of these people acted in court. You need to watch Shridinger's Cat on UA-cam. He highlights sovereign citizens. It's mindblowing how stupid some people are!!

Logical thinking is something a lot of criminals don't have. That's why they end up here to start with, they often act without thinking, or they don't care about the consequences, and then they don't always learn their lesson. It's easy to want to help people and prevent them from going through something like prison, but these places exist for a reason.

11:02 OK, that's crazy. Failure to wear seatbelt in itself is only a fine at most. Every else on top of that? That rap sheet isn't helping.

11:02 In itself, yes, but if police suspect you of a serious crime but don't have enough evidence to pull you over, they can use something like that as probable cause to stop you and hopefully collect evidence of a more serious crime. But yes, TVTropes would file that in the category of "Arson, murder, and jaywalking". 😂

Mate, on UA-cam you should lookup for yourself episodes of a show that used to be on the History Channel called "Gangland". Each episode details a different street gang from a different city in the US. And not some minor juvenile delinquents doing minor crimes. Major stuff like drug trafficking and armed robberies and shootings. Some of them started in one city and expanded their criminal operations to other cities and states and in some cases, counties!

I’m from America and this is what I tried to explain to some people from the UK when they were discussing gangs there and Drill. And I was trying to explain to them how heavy and complicated gang life is here. In many gangs the membership is generational it goes back decades and it’s serious it has nothing to do with trying to get clout to join a juvenile gang so that you can make drill music.
