This game deserves better reviews than it’s getting IMO. It’s a really fun game! If the devs support it the way they say it’s going to be pretty sweet!

Some people have too high of expectations anymore. Heaven forbid a game comes out that highlights a classic style most used to praise to high heavens. How dare it not be revolutionary and just be a fun run and gun. I love it though. Hope the bugs and things get worked out soon.
This game is super fun.
Yeah the game gets top marks from me. It has a few bugs which I'm sure will be ironed out, but that doesn't spoil how surprisingly good this game is.

This game really is good. I wish more people would try it, it's seriously great and exceeded my expectations. I had more fun with it than pretty much everything that came out from about this time last year to right now this year. The fun factor (for me) destroyed Back 4 Blood and Outriders.
This game is so close to being almost perfect. Needs more Aliens music from the movie, 2-3 maps and one map that is from the Aliens Movie. Also, I miss the ticking sound the detector makes.
I think if they did a squad mission that was from aliens of how it should have gone and a rescue mission of Newt. Would be absolutely great. Newt mission being single player. Heck they could do one of them getting to the drop ship and going threw the vents.

Less than 14 mins?? Dayum. Works for me since Act 4 is my favorite map. To make it even better, turn off the music and play the score for Aliens in the background. Perfection.

@@stickybuds05 My reflexes are still good. Tonight I was playing and one of those red stalkers was on the wall. I came around the corner, saw it, aimed at it and fired as it was leaping towards me. My shot didn't count as I guess the game already went into cinematic mode which was BS because it was 10 feet from me when I pulled the trigger. Oh well lol

Then you shouldnt need any tips lol. 12 hours ingame, at even just standard difficulty will have you finish the campaign twice. Max rank level one class and 4 star rank 2-4 weapons. If you need tips to level up. i feel sorry for you

I'm happy running 4-4 last mission for 12k+... add some challenge cards and u get near multiple levels at once. I find the level fairly fun with sitting at the final stop for so long just killing things
And the mad dash to the lift at the end brings them movie feels. So good. I just wish the missions had bookend cutscenes. Even though I've already played somewhere north of 70 missions, I still find they begin and end too abruptly.

I’ve got a couple of players now. Really nice Pioneer 909, and a nice Denon. Both play dual sides and both play NTSC/PAL discs. Only way to go 😊
Act 1 Mission 2 is good for speed runs too. Even with two synths on Standard I can clear in 13-14 minutes. I need to compare the XP/credit payouts between there and Act 4 Mission 2 though because I might not be getting as much.
If you figure out the xp difference could you let me know
@@alfiecharlton6496 Stick with 4-2 as they recommended. Takes a few more minutes to clear going solo than 1-2 but you'll get much more XP on each run.

You're getting way less, like a third of the amount you'd get on 4-2

Almost Rank VI on my Doc. Having a blast playing with people. AI is alright, but they even tell you that in the difficulty selection tab.

Doc is the one class I can't get behind, it's good don't get me wrong, but there's just something about it that feels much less satisfying than the rest of the classes in the game. That being said, I hear you about the AI thing, and hopefully they make them a bit more flexible with future content updates. I have a small handful of friends who only play solo and I know that's been a big bummer for them, dealing with suboptimal bots
Can you get in a public lobby? Mine keeps coming error lobby full so have to play single player last two days

It's the division crossed with gears of war
Everyone is saying this game deserves more credit and I agree. I decided to try it and wth if it wasn't great.
I love fighting for every inch if the game. Normal gaming convention is exposition or that hallways are just for connecting two fighting rooms.
In this game, hallways provide a different experience to the horde fighting; throwing a bunch of them at you directly in front of you with confined spacing and little trills whenever you get a head s hot.
It's great...
I just installed this from game pass and it is super fun. Wish I had friends to run the missions with.
I run first mission on intense and with 2-2.5x exp boost you get about 20-25k exp each run

You can run the very last mission in about 18 minutes and be rewarded about 12k xp with out a challenge card . That would be my suggestion.
Not a single mention that going up a difficulty almost doubles your xp? And given that speedrunning can only cut off at most 15-25% of mission time in this game, you could easily beat the xp/min in this video by dragging your feet on any mission in the hard difficulty.
Or perhaps that, given the power of challenge cards it's best to drop big x3 multipliers on missions with high total XP like 4-3. Also no mention of the formula behind xp which is based upon damage dealt.
This game on intense mode is pretty awesome👍
I find that's the perfect setting as the two higher difficulties are too punishing. Intense doesn't require crackerjack teamwork to succeed, but it does reward smart play as you can still accidentally gun down teammates if you're not careful.
If they made a starship troopers game like this it would be awesome !!!!
Or just do the first 10 waves of Hoard Mode on standard over and over. That's what I've been doing to max my gear.

I'd love to use all these great cards to level up faster, Seems every time I do, We suffer a disconnect in-game! This doesn't work for me at the moment!
Same for me every time I use a challenge card game disconnects. Don’t use them plays fine 🤔
I'm surprised you don't recommend Horde mode. Doing about 19 waves netted me 21k weapon and class exp. You can burn through horde mode fairly quickly without the use of exp cards.
I'm guessing the reason why they don't is because you can't use challenge cards. Atleast I couldn't when I tried it a few times.

I clicked on this video with the intention of finding out whether or not enhancing the difficulty would somehow increase the amount of XP I got from campaign missions and in turn make my walkthrough a lot easier.

1-1 can be beat in 13 mins if you always sprint and fight when you have too
I don't have anyone to play this with on PC and everytime i play with randoms they either die a lot or they stand there inactive during a defence and there just not reliable. I finish games almost twice as fast with AI.

Challenge cards are so broken “it annoys me when teammates don’t even use them when I do like use your cards people”
This game looks so damn cool. I picked it up the day it dropped because I'm a huge Aliens and Predator fan. I haven't started yet as I need to finish Ghosts of Tsushima Directors Cut first but...seeing this makes me want to play it right now.
I have a question...I noticed you guys said running bots is very hard. Is the game possible to beat in single player or will I be wasting my time? I only ask as I want to do one playthrough by myself and kind of soak it all in before I get into crazy co-op throwdowns. I feel like starting it in co-op might kind of ruin the initial experience as invariably there will be a ton of talking between my teammates. I understand that's the nature of the beast and I would never expect anyone to not play the way they want.
You can totally muster through it on casual or standard with bots, but dont expect much from them. On higher difficulties, absolutely not but you dont unlock those till you beat the full campaign anyway. The experience however is more fun with 3 actual players player 3 actual classes for their cool synergies, something you wont experience with bots.

@@Sinn0100 Yes you do level up when playing alone (with bots). Classes, weapons, credits and everything, only the bots don't level up

@@Sinn0100 have fun with it! I'm going to pick up directors cut one day too, one of the best games I've played this decade. Aliens is pretty straightforward, I've finished 2 campaigns solo (before my friends buy it and overtake me) but it's easy enough to pick up and good for fans of the movies

I've played it since the beginning and it just keeps getting better with each update, especially with the new pathogen dlc coming soon, there's going to be even more weapons, enemies, and a new campaign

I dont have wifi so i cant update it right now, but man this game is so much fun. I just need to wait a couple weeks and my cousin will take my ps4 and update it for me. Because man its super glitchy and has shutdown on me once so far without patches.

Hey, just started playing. Love the game. I have one problem. I picked up a rifle that shoots in burst but I like the pulse rifle better. How do I change back to the pulse rifle. I have the same problem trying to equip the submachine gun. How do you equip or re equip these weapons??? 🤔

For that mission you just make a bee line toward the extraction point at the back of the dropship. Once all 3 team members are there the mission will end even if you're being swarmed :)

I'm confused by speed running this game.
I mean, it's got a VERY limited number of missions, items, classes and levels.
I play it for the atmosphere, to live the movies, get cool vibes. But half the players I match with seem to want to skip...the game...

Loving the game. However, I haven’t been able to play with a group. My y screen either freezes or get a notice stating that the session is full. Wtf?!?

Also just wanna say a neat trick I noticed was that if your out of ammo just hold X or whatever button you use over the ammo box and not only does it fill your ammo all the way up it also reloads the weapon for you stay frosty friends

I know about levelling up weapons and classes but what does the other levelling up thingy do? The one that maxes out at 20.
Nothing, it's just your overall level.
@Jim Bob incorrect. You gain more max health and ammo as you level from 1 to 20.

Max for your character overall is 20.

I found it funny with the no hud card I was more accurate then I was with the hud, how I don't know
I run mission 1-1 I feel like I always find a secret stache on that mission unlocking attachments or emotes
Honestly the very first mission on standard is super easy I can run it with bots in under 20 mins pluse I memorized the loot box locations and it's easy to funnel the xenos in this mission . But this is just me

I have a pretty good technician build. This build has a ton of turret buffs, doesn't use the single-shot ability, or the flame thrower. it does 40% more damage, fires faster, and does damage to armor targets. It can also take a hit, it also can knockdown or stumble targets. If it kills a Xeno you and your allies get massive buffs to reload speed, stability, accuracy, and fire rate. charged coil recharges a bit faster and you deal 10-30% more damage. and Cross-Platform Synergy will also increase everyone's accuracy and recharge speeds by 10%. For the guns, I use Type 95 Combat Pistol which fires pretty quick and does some decent damage, along with a 50% chance to stumble targets, good for the tank type of Xenos. The CQW I use is the Type 21 Tactical Shotgun which has a decent range to kill targets at a medium distance and at close quarters. @Legacy Gaming I can send you some info if you are interested in the build to test it out.

what i do is i do regicide and spam the "get away from her" challange card (x3 exp)

Is medic needed? I’ve not seen anyone using them like it’s useless but surely having a dedicated healer would be reasonable?
It's always been the weakest loadout in the game, and even after changes it's still not that great.
Love it but hard level up get money lol but getting there slowly I should try this haha one way to do it

Its seems like the last campaign rewards the most xp compared to the earlier ones
The further along in the campaign you get the more XP, definitely! That's why we recommend C4M2 because it's the most efficient time-wise, and the most rewarding XP-wise.

my goal would be the platinum obviously but the whole campaing on insane... that's going to suck... hard :( I'll need a fireteam for that :(

Could someone please tell me what the character leveling does? I mean the 1-20 level you have for your character. I'm not talking about weapon leveling or class leveling. When your at the end of a mission and you see the four stats level up, I'm talking about the top stat. What does this do for you as you level up? I maxed it out at rank 20 yet I still have no idea what it does for me. I appreciate your help.

Is there any point to the overall account level in this game? Not sure why they have that and a combat rating and a class rating.
Every level you go up, your HP and Ammo reserves increase by I think 2%
I'm new to this game, and at the moment I've done gift of fire: boarding, it says completed but does not go onto nxt level, do you have to get a certain combat level to move on to nxt level
I believe you just need to talk to a certain NPC in the hangar to progress.
Loved tis game, but for $70 deluxe edition the story was way to short.
It's hard to find a team with the super AI bot mod out now nobody needs other players.
In one of your build videos (technician) you mentioned the extended duration 2 mod. How did you get this? I only have 3 and 4.

Mission 1 on standard with Alpha and Beta is easy if you have your character set up with some good gear. You can speed run it in around 15 minutes. If you play with the Demolisher and buy the Impact Grenade Launcher from the vendor you are golden. You can smash your way through standard difficulty with that weapon and a pulse rifle.
I feel like nobody plays horde mode I can never find a stranger to play wit smh

But i have no idea if it ether that or one of the other 3 hacking but the whole mission was running fine the whole time i was thinking how was the game staying stable cause my eyes were wide i missed a few shots with the heavy rocket i was leveling
