    Programme Note (written by Matthew Aubin, translated and adapted by Don-Paul Kahl):
    Fernande Decruck's first work conceived for saxophone quartet, Pavane (1933), was written for the saxophone quartet of the Garde Répulicaine. A charming and melancholic example of her style, Decruck later arranged the Pavane for other combinations of instruments, such as a reed trio.
