Jesus, a PDP-11 in a keyboard? in 1990? That's just awesome.
Not even 1990! 1984! And then there's the Elektronika MK 85, which is a POCKET CALCULATOR. Yes, a PDP-11 in your pocket.
(with the caveat that the MK-85 was stripped of many functions like no Qbus support, so it's only partially a PDP-11).
It was even found in CNC machines and even electronic typewriters... At some point the Soviet just really made their PDP-11 CPU the core of their digital industry.
@@LeSarthois I guess there were some big computers that were reintroduced as home micro computers after they were discontinued as big computers.
Because 16-bit technology was already getting miniaturized in the late 1970s.
Is it me or the 4-colors palette makes it look even more 1980s than the competition? This looks like something straight off Stranger Things
True. There were only 4 colors (and 2 palettes).
wow it has a very unusual aesthetic, something kinda a zx spectrum with acidized colour palette, this is real pure retrogaming!
It wouldn't surprise me if it had any (copied) ZX Spectrum parts (like other Russian-clones, like The Hobbit), but I can't find any confirmation for that.
@@applemctom no, it's 100% original, CPU is 16-bit PDP-11 compatible, but also original (one of the very few original Russian CPUs), GPU and other parts are not compatible with anything else.
Courier (nr 5) was an 'Antartic Adventure' clone which was available for the MSX computer and a few consoles. King's Valle was also a MSX title :)
Conan works on bk0010 with 8k ram and fdd/hdd controller
Oh my god, Tetris! :D
Oh wow, I do find a lot of graphic rip-offs from Speccy games such as: Freddy Hardest, Golden Axe, Barbarian, Test Drive... in any case it's always interesting to discover new games :)
Thanks for this video ! 1. Which emulator did you use to shoot the video ? 2. Where did you find all these games ? Greetings !
I used an online emulator. However, I cannot find it back now...
@@applemctom OK... too bad
bolder dash - super! :)
You know more about this version...?
@@applemctom software version is only one and has no any modifications. But graphics and levels has a lot of modifications. I see in your video the 1st level from original version, but graphics is modified by somebody. Software is written by me. Levels composed a lot of people, some levels composed by me, some composed by childrens in our school, some composed by N.Walter and his friends.
Knight 2 was that a King's Bounty rip off or was it made before it?
No its a rip-off, same setup and graphics, just more 8-bit LOL
fantastic music
Not sure if you're ironic or not...
@@applemctom not, there is something interesting in it
it's not from the games shown in the video and probably it's not even related to BK0010 computer
practically this seems zx spectrum with slightly improved sound...less varied color palette but lot improved sprite color mix
Whatever the superficial similarities:
There is a very long list of Soviet and post-Soviet ZX Spectrum clones (see Wikipedia), but this, the possibly most famous of Soviet home computers, was not one of those.
Some games look better than C64 even with less color. But I understand this computer is 16 bit
Are these run on a fast emulator? A lot of them look too smooth to be ran on a machine like that, though to be fair it does have hardware vertical scrolling which may be being used well here.
Yes, some of those are footage from an online emulator of those games... well noticed, sir!
The speed is close enough to a real PC, maybe a little faster. In games with vertical scrolling, hardware scrolling was used.
@@applemctom ok. But how fast does the emulator run?
@@vladtru9670 Right. I was thinking more about the 3D games I think though a lot of them do seem to avoid having too much to draw at once, drawing outline of things where possible. I was thinking though that some might take advantage of being able to change where in memory a line of pixels is being read from for each line, though I'm not sure if the machine is fast enough for or capable of changing registers for each line. Good to know that software did use the scrolling though. ZX spectrums on the other hand I don't think have any scrolling.
LOL Knight 2 is just Heroes of Might and Magic 0: Kings Bounty

share game roms please
Almost all games here are shameless rip offs because nobody cared. But it was very happy times of one man corporations.
This is communist gaming.
in russia video games play you!
