  • Folks I'm not a professional, do at your own risk.
I just like doing things from time to time to save a few bucks.
have heard prices to fix these can be really high so figured I'd give it a try.
Hopefully made this video where u can follow along, and see what all is involved in doing this type of repair. If you decide to take on the challenge.
Feel free to comment and give some input. there is still a few things I want to do to call it completely finished but it seems to work good for now.

I've watched a handful of these videos as I have the same project coming up and your video was the best I've seen - thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to make it as straightforward as possible. Cause when I repaired the other end I watched a few videos but still had a ton of questions, and wanted to make sure I tried to answer the questions I was looking for, but couldn't find

Thanks, I’m starting to tear mine apart now. I’m debating whether to use plywood to fill in the middle or 1” foam board. If I go the plywood route I think I’ll coat it with polyurethane first.

Thanks, good video. One of the many places these campers leak. Did you do anything else to seal the hinges better? I still have the door on but all the wet material removed ready to rebuild but water is still getting in when it rains.
Also I wish I could see how that rubber flap is attached to the camper inside? Mine is not taught like yours when open.

Not all Bricks are clay... some are bricks of cards, some are bricks of fire crackers.
      Tomato, potato.
But... Thanks for clearing that up, im sure there was several people confused on it..
I get it... I guess I'll do better next time.

It depends on your skill level..
It's not a simple task and does require some Know how, with carpentry. I tried to explain it the best I could in the video. And I also tried to do it with the most basic tools.

How long did this take you including dry time?

    • @Crider-ih2ir

Took about 2 days. This was over a year ago. And it's still holding up fine.

I recorded it with my cell phone. Don't have any fancy equipment.
Was just trying to get by with tools I had at hand. Kind of the same way I was doing the project.
