Black voices are usually strong, rich, full of flavor as opposed to light and delicate. They knew her voice was beautiful but the tone was unfamiliar, different. She did an amazing job. I love the sharing and appreciation of cultures.
One of the two judges who didn't turn around is Henry Lau. He's a Canadian singer who was in a Kpop group, he should be familiar with her tone lol

@@xapokalypse Yes. I am very familiar with Henry the actor, the singer, and musician. Although beautiful, her voice sounds different in that language. It's not bad, just different. There's a gospel group called Korean Seoul. They are fantastic, but it's different. You hear the talent and sincerity, but for me "soul" is missing in the sound. They are really good, but not gospel as I know it. That's all. Didn't mean to start an anger fest.
Hey relax. I'm black an studying Korean. I too have a soulful voice. And yes, some black folks have light voices, but not that many. That's why people marveled at Minnie Riperton. It was just my opinion. She got two chairs in a Chinese competition. That's amazing in itself.

特別音質上，更類似 Alin 的翻唱。 選此歌絕對有受到Alin 版本的 因素啓發，只又增了些西方的藍調，轉音，自由改旋律。但不太多。＜剛從某西方音樂老師樂評,找此影片而來😊＞

The fact they didn't all turn around immediately after she started singing has me wondering what's wrong with their hearing. I wouldn't want to be on any of their teams. She needs to audition here in the USA where she'd receive the 4 chair turn she deserves. And a greater appreciation of her talent.

@@braveheart2516 i think they knew she was foreign specifically. Her voice got soul in it and usually i dont think orher people that go on there sing like that. Its a different distinct tone/voice.
Their groups were full, she even had to battle coz the judge she chose, his group was also full, she won that battle, it's not about race or whatever, it's about preference amd style of music, and not all singers got accepted, I remember this one singer her voice was so smooth but only one judge turned, that's because the style of music doesn't suit them so they won't know how to help. Watch the whole show before saying that they are racist
And she was not the only black girl there
they did not turn because they know she's better than them. 😂 in fact, none of the "judges" are as gifted as her in terms of voice technicality. bunch of ex idolz and has beens 🤡

Many int’l contestants have joined the fray in the past decade, including American singers, Annie Lowdermilk and Will Jay etc, both speak fluent Chinese, together with Singapore and Malaysian talents. Moe is the first one from Africa.

Best female singer so far. Only A-mei and A-lin have such R&B singing style that convey detailed emotions. She also have a bit of Zhang Bichen's vocal color. Her second performance is equally amazing.

@@jenlim1936 I mean best female singer in the competition, not whole music industry. Yes, Coco Lee is also great in R&B though her voice is thinner compared to A-mei, A-lin or Zhang Bichen who all have thicker voices.

Really disappointed that the show didn't carry on. Would have love to see how far she would have come. Her Chinese is excellent and she learned it right here in South Africa my home country.
She did good, just missing that little fire behind this song, she handle it with too much care, when she could of killed it, but she was good, not what you would expect and that makes her a lethal weapon with great potential. Proud of her.

Its crazy they didn't all turn their chairs but I know why. Any human being hearing such vibrations can only appreciate the beauty in her voice. They knew it also, thats why they were closing their eyes just to continue feeling that frequency, but they knew she was not Asain also.
