ok but seriously I love the toa payoh design. If im not wrong it was adapted from a system made before the building of toa payoh and this circular system was adapted from it.
There shouldn't be. We already know how LRT is more of a burden than beneficial. A tram line would be 100% with transit priority on the roads with their own lane that buses could also use.
Swamp in standard malay is paya. Payoh sounds like some ang mo Brit tia salah and wrote it down wrongly using his angmo ji. Like Paya Lebar is zhun Malay, which means Wide Swamp. So next time you tell your friends can meet up at Wide Swamp MRT - is not wrong
@@farhan-5705 Wrong. The area was named Kallang way before the Brits came. It was named after the group of Orang Lauts. Seletar was another group of Orang Laut
grid layout is a mistake. we don't need fast flowing traffic in between our schools, houses, and shops. also it literally encourages people to drive or worse speed through which we also don't want
a grid structure can improve ease of navigation for pedestrians, and streets can be reshaped to have the ring structure for motor traffic (so no noise in the town center) though a circular town is really cool sounding and really unique.

There should be an LRT line straddling that circular-like road. Yishun as well.

Grid is the best way however not seen in your actual situation; maybe good for cyclist who has no rules and can travel in any direction.
ayaya come on man, no need to talk bad about cyclist all day.
But then grid result in soooooooo many traffic lights. have you played city skyline
