Hello my name is Juan Rivera I really like what you teaching, I live in Puerto Rico, iam 53 years old practice a little for almost 15 years I work to support my home and family, when I just I work out to in shape I saw your video an it was all some thanks for putting it up.
Something tells me that a lot of the fist techniques were made more effective by that metal plate that was affixed to the kote as hand protection, i have seen some that protrudes slightly past the front of the knuckles or side of the hand by about 1/3rd to 1/4th of an inch.
Concentrating on technique is not the way to teach self defence, you should concentrate on training the mind to cope with violence and extreme violence. to cope with the adrenaline dump and how it both affects the mind and the body, once that has been done then move on to physical technique. Simply because the fight is won or lost in your head.
I have been following the dojo show
