@@LeanafromGuyana No , that was my bad. Initially I thought it was passion fruit, which you later clarified that it isn't. By telling us the difference between the two. Thank you !
I love markets of other countries. It helps in understanding the people's way of life. This was wonderful ! We call the Mamie.....Mamie Sepot pronounced Seepo. Sumitoo could be a relative to Passion Fruit. That "grapefruit" is called Pumelo here. The "eddoes" is called Dasheen here. We cook the young leaves as "bhaji" or "calalloo". Eddoes here is a much smaller variety with a unique taste. Your "calalloo" is called "Poye-leaf " here. I prefer your pineapple rather than ours. We have 7-Pot & Scorpion peppers than can annihilate entire towns !!! Thanks for your video again Leana. Greetings to your parents. Trinidad & Tobago.
Dear Leana, I have been following you for quite a while and have seen how well you relate to the your audiences and wonderful reporting of the Guyana most of us in the diaspora can relate to. You have fully embraced social media/UA-cam providing a unique style of reporting that is refreshing and informative. I, along with my wife Juanita, run Guyana SPEAKS (see our FB page and UA-camS), a UK based initiative that bring our Guyanese diaspora together on topics (we stay away from politic, religion and racial issues) we think have wide Interest. What you do is certainly of wide interest. Would you be available on 27th February at 3pm (GMT) to give a 20 minute presentation, via zoom, speaking on your background, style of reporting/filming, how you have been received by the general public and some of the situations you have reported on. Along with yourself we are inviting two others that have had a wide ‘Guyanese’ presence on UA-cam. Look forward to hearing from you..... Rod (Westmaas) Guyana SPEAKS
