  • A FIREWOOD PROCESSOR Like You've NEVER Seen - The Japa 405 Perfect Split.
    While at the Paul Bunyan show I got to see the Japa 405 firewood processor in action. It's a firewood processor with a built in box wedge and shaker deck system. It is called the Perfect Split and Perfect Clean and it is really like no other firewood processor out there.

      Will you guys please please make a pizza wedge for this machine. I have 40-60 restaurants around me that cook with wood and I can only hand split so much. Missing out on a huge market

      @@coreym5072 What size does it need to be? 8 way gets it down to almost 2.5 inch by 3 inch at the largest pieces. Keep in mind a lot of what is produced will be smaller than that yet.
      I’ll put the 8 way in our 435 next week, make a video, and share the results. Stay tuned.

      It really is a heck of a machine...would be interesting to see how the 6 way box wedge performed and the splits it made. Think it'd be Perfect Size.....Perfect Split, Perfect Clean, Perfect Size...lol 👍 😀 🍻

      @@Back40Firewood If six-way box-wedge performed well, that is the one that would have been in the machine at the show. I am just speculating. Perhaps five bottom openings would be better than 4 or 6.

    WOW that is a Machine, so is Bob taken to the Back 40 after the show so you can demo it for 6 months or so, lol, Game changer for anyone who needs production.

    great machine Dan i will have to check them out when they come out with a diesel or gas motor i like how metsa stands behind their equipment

      I think the gas engine model is available and the diesel version will be out soon. Very cool machine and Bob is great to work with. 👍 😀 🍻

    Great video. I wonder which UA-cam channel will be the first to get to show case the JAPA 405 on their property. That's an awesome firewood processor. With that machine, you would just have to worry about where you would 🪵 stack all the firewood you just made.

      @@jakebredthauer5100 Joe already has the Yapa 365 Pro and the Yapa dealer has already been to his wood yard to return his jacket from the show and they were making hints about him upgrading his processor.

      @@kplvnejp Joe should try the Japa 405 but he should also, at the same time, keep the one he has. Like they say, do not give up your day-job. Then, he will likely decide that the Japa 405 is not the appropriate model for Ohio Woodburner.
      If his 365 has significant wear on it, he should then try to sell it. If he is able to sell it, contingent on being able to replace it, then he should buy a new model 365 with no wheels. Because he has that tractor, he could also skip the engine if he wanted to.

    That's pretty cool machine little hesitant on the shaker unless they have documented hours without repairs

    Japa can patent the box wedge with return arm just because no one put on a processor? Hmm...or is the actual design of their entire system with the box wedge, log detector, and return arm with the shaker patented? It definitely is impressive with nice wood coming out.

    while this new way of splitting wood is great but 40 years ago my grandfather used to teach me a lesson on how to take care of myself and family by having me split firewood so we could stay warm. now that I'm a grandfather how am I supposed to instill that lesson in my grandson? just messing with ya the machine is awesome

    Seems if a multi split head was in there, time, fuel and wear and tear on machine would be greatly reduced. IDK. Decent processing.

      Many Amish communities allow gasoline powered equipment. They just can't have equipment that drives. They use hay balers with small gasoline engines on them ti run the machine but pull it with draft horses.
