Who? Hi, I am a Japanese to English translator who does clips of Vtubers, mostly from Hololive, but I'll also do VOMS from time to time. The people in these Vtuber clips do have their own channels where they do live streaming, usually games. My favorite Vtubers are Korone, Rushia & Coco, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the rest.
Why? The Vtuber idea started a few years ago in Japan with Kizuna AI. Now people from all over the world including both Japan and English speaking countries have Vtubers. I was learning Japanese since before this happened, and now I translate.
How? Learn Japanese, Learn a small amount of video editing, learn subtitling, and most of all, learn to code. (Actually most of my video editing is done automatically by code)
What? I translate interesting or funny clips I find while watching Vtubers live. I'm always open to requests and I read most of your comments, so fire away with your suggestions!
Where? The comments are good. You can also go to my community tab to post suggestions and vote in the polls. Just know links are blocked due to spam, so posting a video ID is the best way to make a suggestion.
When? Anytime.
Just remember:
Elite Miko is Elite

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If it’s not “Honto ni fisto ga stop me”, it’s “Bakana! Boku no Cybernetic wa doko desu ka” that gets them.
You're right. The girls always lose it after that sentence. xD
@@Unaliq Yeah the stop me is more for english speakers, while for jp, they are a little confused at first with the crappy japanese, and then that sentence really just throws it in their face 😂
@@snowpools8498 True, but only because it's the only grammatically correct Japanese sentence there. It's just that, even tho it's correct, the level of formality used doesn't fit with the fact that it's being spoken by a villain, which in contrast to the broken but aptly informal Japanese in most of the other parts makes it even funnier to them it seems lol
One part of the sentence that's informal tho is the use of "boku", but while it has some connotations of coolness, it's mainly used by boys (i.e. male children and teens). I personally didn't notice it at first until I read some of the comments, but normally, an adult villain like that would use "ore"
@@snowpools8498yeah this the fist stop me broke me when i first heard it
Now Luna understands the struggle of her overseas fans.
I love how all the girls laugh at 1:08 because that's one of the only examples of grammatically correct Japanese in the whole scene
But also it makes no sense for him to say it like that which just makes it even better
@@snowpools8498perhaps because it's so fucking formal
it's apparently to also way too formal for that situation
He's using boku to refer to himself, which is a really strange thing to hear when the character has been an unstoppable badass until then. Basically, only kids will use it. He should be using 'ore', much more common masculine form.
There are loads of different words to say 'Me / I', it's hard to get the meaning across. But to think of it one way, the Japanese translation of Friends has Joey and Chandler use 'ore', while Ross uses 'boku'.
"urusearimasen" is probably a messed up form of 会ったことすらありません (attakotosuraarimasen) meaning "never even met" which would actually fit into the sentence according to the English subs
What does すら mean in this context?
even
Didn't she say "uruse urimasen ja nai!!" ?
uruse = urusai = shut up
Am i wrong? Please tell me.
Oh, that makes sense. I was wondering WTF urusei arimasen was even supposed to be.
As we in the business like to say, "Yo hablo kuso nihongo"
I don't get it. Why is the first half spanish and the other half japanese?
@@nobafan7515 Exactly.
@@NightKev lol
@@nobafan7515 Some people just want to watch the world burn
@@andrewlance3898 I think I can hear Coco screaming all the way from Dragon America
"something that sounds like japanese" I see why the luknights love her now.
Ah! She finally played the game? She's going to love Charles. xD
her cute giggles added my lifespan
When you hontoni fisto ga stop me
Quick notes:
At the end she said "welcome to Luknight"
She was very confused about "Tokyo tomatte" which was probably meant to be "toki wo.."
Hello Mr. -Double Negative-
This clip is part of your legacy. Well done. Also, I never noticed that the STANDO says "Urusei arimasen" until Luna pointed it out, trolololol.
I just realized now that since the game is just reference after reference, the JoJo part wasn't just a reference, but it also referenced the Japanese language, hence why it was barely understandable.
yes, they are literally dubbing kuso nihongo
