Personally, I think AWAKENING would stay the same, because no matter who you are… you will one day experience something that will trigger your AWAKENING.
The original was like "hey that's a cool boss battle, pretty epic." This one is basically. "OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I UNLEASHED?" But for real, I fully expect this to be the herald of the player's doom.
I would respectfully disagree, this version of awakening doesn’t really show the actual tone of the phase. Phase 4 is meant to feel endless, hopeless and terrorizing. This one feels a little too energetic to be in the actual game.
I feel this perfectly takes in and really exposes the horror seeing a beast like that is after just seeing a measly skeleton before, while the original, still really good, doesn't really emphasize the terror imo To put it plainly the original is the sort of "Final boss fight until your last breath" while this one is the "Run as fast as you can." Really good!
I absolutely LOVED the original by vesperr, and I always imagined how it would've been in your style, and DAMM do the orchestral parts hit hard. It makes me want a V2 of this, though it's probably just a one off thing, but it just speaks how amazing your style has grown for the OST across all this time!
I especially loved it when it turned purple, that was the best part 💜💜💜 [Fantastic job on this one, it was like a dream come true seeing this premiere!!]

The problem I have is that this song is it sounds like “something that’s just happening”, not “something happening to the player”. A different way of saying that is it feels like it’s from the perspective of the sans Gaster hybrid, not the player. idk if that makes any sense, the music just doesn’t feel directed at me/the player No idea why I said it wasn’t slow enough
