I think it is great to show your kids how to clean. I am so thankful mom showed us how to do it all so once we were old enough we did it ourselves if we had to.
I did the KonMarie method last year, I followed the steps in the book start to finish. I gave away 3/4 of my wardrobe, probably 1/2 of my kitchen stuff, I have the bare minimum books, decor, I even stream lined my cleaning products. Since doing the method, I have noticed a difference in the way I shop and look at material possessions. I refuse to bring anything in unless I absolutely love it and it fits into my lifestyle. I do plan on doing it again as the first time I was so afraid of having an empty house when I was done. However I have not missed any of the items I gave away. So keep going, it is well worth it, kind of scary, brings up a lot of emotion but so worth it. Great video as always have a great week.

We have three kids. Our oldest, Olivia, is definitely the neat one. She's constantly organizing and decorating her room. Our middle child, Joshua, and our youngest, Emily, are not quite as neat. We have to constantly remind them to clean their rooms and put their stuff away. I love the chatty videos! I love all the motivation and ideas I get from UA-cam, but sometimes as people's channels grow, they become so unrelatable and sometimes unrealistic....and I HATE to say that because I really like them, but I feel a disconnect. I also have a Gracie! Gracie Julia, actually 😁. She is now 15, but still a total mess maker! Maybe it comes with the name, lol! She’s got total control of her own room, with the rule that when something comes in (book, clothes, etc) something else has to leave. The one in one out rule works pretty well. We also do de-clutters pre bday (she’s in August) and Christmas. There is a regular floor sweep, though. She is now, and has been since she was 10, responsible for her own laundry. No clean underwear, not mamas problem, no clean gym uniform, guess you’ll be stinky a day. I think it’s taught her to be conscious about her surroundings, and it helps keep me from washing T-shirt’s she’s worn for an hour. New subscriber, love meg sent me 😉
Yes on not cleaning the house all at once. I've mentioned before how i am disabled so i have to do it when i can but i get it done slowly but surely. Mainly in the main areas like bathroom, bedroom, kitchen. When i can i will do like the blinds dust etc..
I feel the same way about the 7th generation wipes!!! I am happy to say that I used the last one yesterday and started using the method wipes in pink grapefruit - so far I really like them!

I just went through my house and got rid of so much. Between my clothing, my girls, the playroom, and the kitchen we had 10 big garbage bags and 3 boxes. Now they are in the baseball and my husband is going crazy. Basement is his area and he wants it gone. But every time I declutter I feel like my house takes a deep breath. Like the house just got all this weight lifted off it haha
You are so right about the kids lunches, and half the time my kids don’t want the super Pinteresty lunches. They won’t eat them and it’s a waste. We always ask what they want in their lunches and it’s always the same, lol.

One question : I have a very big house and usually have someone to help me with the cleaning twice a week but I am not very happy with the way she cleans. She can’t work for a few weeks for the moment and the agency wanted to send le someone else but I said no, so now I have to do everything on my own and it is a lot .... have you ever considered getting some help ? I wonder if I will go on with this because there is always something wrong : either they are often sick, or they don’t clean well, or they spend time having phone calls etc ;) what do yo think of having help for cleaning ?
When I was a teacher I had someone come once a month to do the deep cleaning and I loved it. Now that I stay home I don’t have help. Have you thought about asking around there area to see if anyone uses someone they like? I bet you could find someone good!

So Young Living has their Thieves cleaning concentrate. I love it! A 14.4 oz bottle costs $22.50 BUT it’s a concentrate! One capful makes a 16oz spray bottle of cleaner, just to give you an idea. I use this concentrate for a multipurpose cleaner, tile cleaner, homemade cleaning wipes, floor cleaner, etc. That one 14.4 oz bottle has lasted me almost 6 months! It smells great (think cinnamon, clove and spices) but I like adding peppermint or citrus essential oils to change up the scents. As long as I have a bottle of concentrate, I have a cleaning product for the whole house!

Now 19,17 & almost 16 (next week) - Girl, boy, girl- Of course I have my rules and such but as far as their cleaning personalities, The oldest has always kept things “picked up when she “feels like it”, but for the most part, just normal stuff like clothes and makeup and such.. just needs tidying up but not nasty, the middle one, he’s extremely OCD but my messiest by far child! How you ask? I’m kind of the same way in some areas.. Lol When he cleans he does clean, he wants everything PERFECT, and after that cleaned completely. However he lets it get so bad it overwhelms him and he doesn’t know where to begin! (I do not tell him I know this or he would run with it!) Haha My youngest has always been the little Suzy homemaker. She cooks, always keeps her room not only clean, but gets really bored with it and completely rearranges it at least once a month!!! Lol so All three are totally polar opposites!! 😂🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ None of them however like their clothes getting mixed up with our family of five, so they’ve all washed their own clothes since they were like 11/12 years old!! I am always trying to complete a load but they’re like “mama no!! It’ll get lost!!”

My 8yr Old has the same Roblox case and a gazillion of the Roblox. He also is particular on how he puts them back. He has to have the correct hats and swords/guns too!!! So funny!!
We have 3 kids and my middle one is like me is a minimalist and keeps things clean and organized and my oldest and youngest are like their dad all mini hoarders lol my husband gets irritated at our oldest and I’m like he’s exactly like you 😂 but my middle one I never have to tell him but yet my daughter who is my youngest takes after dad but yet is my best helper to clean in the house

Mom of 5 here and kids are definitely different. My oldest is super organized and clean and my daughter is messy. In terms of the younger ones they are all just messy!
Did u know u can buy Method cleaning products @ Menards & Mrs Meyers products @ Meijer grocery store instead of having to always ordering on line! Just an FYI. Good video! Always enjoy!!

My granddaughter is the organizer in her family. Grandson not so much.😁 My granddaughter fusses at him when he leaves his things out and she is three years younger than him.
Pinterest social media in general is just a way to make us feel like we are failing at life. That's why I have decided to limit my social media time, because I deal with enough anxiety that I have created for myself I don't need anymore generated by a total stranger. I will look at or follow the people like you who are real. None of us are perfect but we are all perfect in our imperfection.

So Young Living has their Thieves cleaning concentrate. I love it! A 14.4 oz bottle costs $22.50 BUT it’s a concentrate! One capful makes a 16oz spray bottle of cleaner, just to give you an idea. I use this concentrate for a multipurpose cleaner, tile cleaner, homemade cleaning wipes, floor cleaner, etc. That one 14.4 oz bottle has lasted me almost 6 months! It smells great (think cinnamon, clove and spices) but I like adding peppermint or citrus essential oils to change up the scents. As long as I have a bottle of concentrate, I have a cleaning product for the whole house!

I've been in a purging mode lately also! It's very cleansing and it feels great to have a clutter free home. I don't know how many bags & boxes I've gotten rid of, but it is a wonderful feeling.

Great video!! Glad I found your channel! What was the ladies name that you’ve been listening to? I know who you said but not sure spelling lol ♥️ As for kids? I have three. Now 19,17 & almost 16 (next week) - Girl, boy, girl- Of course I have my rules and such but as far as their cleaning personalities, The oldest has always kept things “picked up when she “feels like it”, but for the most part, just normal stuff like clothes and makeup and such.. just needs tidying up but not nasty, the middle one, he’s extremely OCD but my messiest by far child! How you ask? I’m kind of the same way in some areas.. Lol When he cleans he does clean, he wants everything PERFECT, and after that cleaned completely. However he lets it get so bad it overwhelms him and he doesn’t know where to begin! (I do not tell him I know this or he would run with it!) Haha My youngest has always been the little Suzy homemaker. She cooks, always keeps her room not only clean, but gets really bored with it and completely rearranges it at least once a month!!! Lol so All three are totally polar opposites!! 😂🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ None of them however like their clothes getting mixed up with our family of five, so they’ve all washed their own clothes since they were like 11/12 years old!! I am always trying to complete a load but they’re like “mama no!! It’ll get lost!!”

We have 3 kids and my middle one is like me is a minimalist and keeps things clean and organized and my oldest and youngest are like their dad all mini hoarders lol my husband gets irritated at our oldest and I’m like he’s exactly like you 😂 but my middle one I never have to tell him but yet my daughter who is my youngest takes after dad but yet is my best helper to clean in the house
