- Sunshine Plaza is an old obscure mall inland from Daytona Beach FL, and stands today as a business center. While it remains intact and is accessible, not much of interest remains.

Thanks! Grab some grub for your time and effort.
There was a time when this place was a really good mall, although that was in the early 80's, and was a mellow alternative to the Volusia & Daytona Malls nearby. My grandfather was into aquariums, and Sunshine Mall had one of the better fish stores in the area. They even had an old Toy King that was always fun! Great place, shame to see it in this state today.
My God that's why even as an adult I not only hate talking to strangers, I hate it equally as much, if not more, when strangers talk to me.
The original interior had much more character. Lots of heavy raw cypress wood planks all over. I think the interior carpet was green, but it was a long time ago so I might be wrong.
In addition to Zares, there were a couple of clothing stores and a cafeteria style restaurant that I can recall. The doorway near the exit that looked like the front of a house was a restaurant called Gourmet Kitchens. Don't know when it opened but it was there for a good 30 years at least. Think they closed in 2020.
The bowling alley also has a small arcade and pub. Their food area is in the same spot as Gourmet Kitchens. Fun place too!
I was sad to see that the RC car club that was in one of the corner spaces has left since my last visit here in 2022.
Should have hit the deli in Publix. Nothing beats a Pub sub or some of their fried chicken.
I remember when the Walgreen's was there, and right next to it was Wag's. If you remember, those were old eateries once associated with the store. Even Volusia Mall had a Wag's in the late 70's/early 80's. As a kid who pretty much ate anything, I was always happy going there.
@@SinistarPro_Mike I remember Wag's at Volusia Mall.
Oh God, I had to cut this one short. That Trammell Starks "Evening" song was killin' me. Sorry.
I went to college in Daytona Beach back in back in 1990 99 and I honestly don't remember this place at all. I even worked at a place on dunladen Ave.
I don't think any dead mall can be brought back. This type of thing is the best they can hope for.
I grew up with this mall in the early eighties. It had a movie theater and went out to Zayre’s where the gym is
Oh my weather channel music
Man that mall gave me sensory deprivation. Keep up the excursions dude.
Why no mention of the post office that has been there since opening.
Sunshine Plaza is an extremely ironic name for this place.
My goodness, just when I thought I saw the most boring mall in America. This comes along. You're not dead yet!??
I think it's a tie between this mall and Hull Malls. Go check them out. They are so bland and boring. Doomie trashes them a lot.
lol boring indeed - but that is a really cool architectural design around the 5:20 mark! Like the skylights there too.
Yes, I find it's kind of cool in a really weird way.
1st. Back in Florida? You snowbird. Nice business park you have there.
This is old
Saw Dan Bell’s vid on this one. Kinda bland if you ask me
Who?
@@DoomieGruntVentures @ThisisDanBell. He does a lot of mall stuff
I'm 100% sure Doomie knows who Dan Bell is. Dan Bell does seem to be the original dead mall guy, after all."Who?" Lol.
@@nickto21 Yeah I figured he probably does lol
