Amen and well said - to fight for position and status for what is temporal and passing is futile. For if it is needed for God's will to be done, God Himself will exalt you, as we learn to diminish, and He increases we then can learn what it is to be used of God. The Lord is compassionate, as we also ought to be.
that's my boy ~ very nicely done Lion's Den, you always look great when you are leading WORSHIP and PRAISE to the Lord God Most High. It was what you were born to do you know.
Do not miss that point 43 minutes in ~ to whom much that has been given (in fact God has given us all, our all, HIS ALL) much is required. So it's not just sitting on a bench, or a pew or a seat, and listen to a sermon. It's not just singing a song, be merry and go your way. It's not just getting spiritually FAT and be a secret service Christian agent who forgets to tell their neighbor or friend about Jesus and all the good He has done.
Great opening concept Costi ~ like a car when we turn the ignition key, does our Faith work? Does it take us places where God wants us to go? - Kids it is more than worth it. If 30 minutes can spare you 30 years of agony, would you make the trade? Then pull up the chair, sit close in, listen, and take notes as God speaks to you.
Amen - it's just like Costi said to those who seek glory ... for those who want to live their dreams, and even if you do Go and Get It, Once you Got it, you're going to die ... you cannot hold it forever, and then what ... well let me tell you what that adds up to - "so what" - another been there, done that, air out of the bag, and once again "emptiness/loneliness" that is not something you want to live over and over again in your adult years, is it? Jesus promises and provides a life worthwhile. An exciting life of challenge and adventure. While he may not sign the check to the high-styling life things you want, He does make sure you have everything you need to get the job done when He calls and assigns you to it.
A little insider secret to those who are not yet ready or wanting to serve >>> as you learn to serve, your world changes, and the world around those you serve, also changes. The way these react to you will be different than what you thought. So as you lose your "self" in doing what is right and good, you will find something else much better in helping others, because that is what Jesus did for us. He also said if you want to keep your life, your dreams, your bank wad roll, your rich cars, and your homes, you will lose it. However, if you are willing to give that up, for His sake, to spread the good news, guess what, in doing so, you find "new" life and what living is all about. So in losing you gain.
Daniel - great selection - So tell me, Where is that Woman today? We need her to be in front of the Supreme court. We need her at the White House pleading a case for what is good and right to a country bent on going awry, bankrupt on many levels, and utterly corrupt. We need so many to follow in her footsteps, to pray, and not give up or in. For God is just, and if those who are not can hear and grant justice, if we do not give up, if it's aligned to God's will and not our own, it will come to pass.
What Costi does, What Jon does, What Kyle does, What Darryl does, What Shane does, What Daniel does, what we all ought to do ~ is what Jesus did ~ invest, encourage, believe in, strengthen and pour yourself into those you serve. This is what they mean (forgive me if I didn't put a lot more names up there) when they say like the Apostle Paul, follow me, as I follow Christ.
Good examples of DL Moody and Floyd Mayweather ~ for celebs are often unapproachable indeed >>> yet something to ponder ... if thee most untouchable, thee most unapproachable person who if we saw Him, or named His name, it was instant death ... if that person, humbled himself, came to earth, took up a towel, and washed dirty stinky smelly feet, the Creator of the universe, the master designer, the one who should be most celebrated, if He can come, and be an example of serving, should we also not do the same? So do we humble ourselves under God's command, or do we ignore them, go on as we were, and put our own desires, what we think is best for us, above the one who made us and our parents, and their parents? Something to think about.
Satan and the world constantly advertise the biggest lies, and repeat them all day long, saying it's all about you, but it is not. You do you, well how long should that take? Best for you to do Jesus. Love one another. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Thank you
I mean I thank God for the message

Great point Costi ~ our shelf life - toss after expiration ... God's shelf life - ETERNAL
