    The guy following Teddy Hart around making this documentary reminds me of the guy who followed Chyna around just before her death. He also made it all about him and the whole piece ended up exploiting Chyna, which some felt led to her getting reckless with drugs and alcohol again.

    Brian is right about the director/producer making it about himself. He wouldn't have been able to sell this without Teddy. Once he couldn't get the reality show, this was his last resort. TEDDY ISNT EVEN A SUSPECT IN THE CASE

      Yeah, sure seemed like it was more about the director trying to find a missing mother of three. It felt like the documentation had a lot of demons of guilt. Perhaps all a work. Also, the fact that his ex wife, bragging about being a millionaire, couldn't afford a good lawyer? Or she just didn't have a case.

    Teddy Hart had immense in-ring talent and pedigree. Still. It was undermined by his charecter flaws, many of which are correctly characterised as criminal. I have never seen Teddy try to hide or avoid responsibility for the bad things he has done and Teddy has been judged, convicted and punished by the standards we expect in a modern society.
    Teddy is 43 years old and he is literally arriving at the last moment in his life when he can turn his professional wrestling career around and have a great run on the independent circuit or one of the top 3 wrestling promotions. There is no time to waste, no second, third or fifth chances, no more time to get himself together, to put down the drugs and cats and embrace the responsibility of keeping the Hart name relevant. Usually by 43 years old I would say it's already too late, but with LA Knight and Damien Preist we have seen people peaking on the mid-40s, so Teddy just has about enough time to come good as long as every step is forward and correct. Get rid of the clichéd year 2000 bling. Don't murder any more hookers. Stop taking detectable drugs. Have some humility and hire a great manager or management team. Good luck, Teddy. Old fans of the Hart dynasty are still behind you for one last push. We want you to complete the redemption arc and make the Hart name mean something in the lexicon of wrestling again. As for Jim Cornette, instead of crucifying Teddy verbally, maybe you can help and guide him and get him to the top. Where any wrestler named Hart deserves to be.

    I actually have a rather strange Teddy Hart story.
    A few months back, here in Tampa, some friends and I were partying in Ybor City when we decided to head back to Channelside (about a 5 minute drive south, but we were drunk and didn't want to walk). We're waiting for our Uber when a black truck (looked like a late model Dodge Ram or F-150) pulls up, and waves for us to hop in. I'm not particularly paying attention, but my friends start walking to the truck, so I follow, and we hop in.
    A short drive later, and we're at our destination when I realize that this wasn't the Uber; it was literally a guy who just, out of the kindness of his heart, offered 3 drunk strangers a ride. We say our goodbyes and give our thanks, and as I go to open the door (I'm sitting in the front passenger seat), the guy speaks up and says,
    "I'm Teddy Hart".
    Now my friends are confused, because they have no idea who this is, nor do they care (because they're drunk and we're going to an afterparty), but I'm slightly geeking at the sheer randomness and hilarity of the situation, because indeed, it was definitely Teddy Hart (he was focused on driving and I wasn't focusing on him in profile). My friends murmur about who this stranger is, and I quickly tell them that he's a wrestler and he's Bret and Owen Hart's nephew. One of my friends pipes up, "Oh, I know Bret Hart," which seemed to both annoy and please Teddy, so I shook his hand, nodded, and exited his truck.
    He waved goodbye, wished us well, and drove off. Now, some might say I'm making this up, but think about this: Who in the fuck else in the world would think that claiming to be Teddy Hart would mean something...aside from Teddy Hart?

    • @giovannifitzpatrick1987
      @giovannifitzpatrick1987 Рік тому +9

      @@bobsucks9647 That's very true.
      And, honestly, the strangest thing about the situation was how normal it all was, considering it was Teddy Hart. It would've made more sense if he was off the rails (much pun intended), and drove us off into the wilderness on some dangerous fuckery. But no, aside from pointing out who he was, it would've been just another mundane 5 minute drive between parties in an absolute stranger's vehicle.
      It was made even stranger because it's not as though we were the only people in that area waiting/looking for their Uber/Lyft. On top of that, there were plenty of girls waiting as well, so why he'd decide to pick up 3 random dudes is anyones' guess. Nonetheless, we certainly appreciated the free ride, and I always enjoy having an interesting story to recount.
