    Undoubtedly one of the best keyboardist demonstrations of talent and workstation today. Fantastic !!!

    • @gegelso

      Gabriel Iwasaki the Jupiter 80 rules. Love it. Such good sound quality. The older one - Jupiter 8 is good to. It's analog and has a slightly nicer sound. Hope you get one. Can get these for around 2k now.

    I was pretty sure I wanted to buy the Jupiter 80...until I saw this video, and it removed all doubt! This monster is what I dreamed of in the 80's. Not much of what Roland has done since then has moved me to open my wallet (I had the JX3P, SH101, and D-50 and 550, but everything Roland I bought after that I'd end up selling). For this board I am throwing good money after bad, selling off an 88 key Kronos that is a more powerful keyboard under the hood...but doesn't inspire me or speak to me the way this thing does. I should have it within a week or so...SO FREAKING EXCITED!
    Now, if only I could play like Tatsuya...

    Just epic !
    Awesome demo, the best i've ever seen.
    Awesome player and music too (i love the final part, i may pay to have cd).
    Usually, demo musics are flat, with just some chords with some sounds.
    This one shows what we (possible future owners) can really do with this keyboard.

    Yes, this is the rare demo of the JUPITER-80 by someone who can actually play keyboard well. :) 99% of synthesizer demos on UA-cam are knob twiddlers with hands mainly good for carpentry.

    Distortion guitar and distortion lead guitar sounds are so easy to get and emulate. It’s the articulations and nuisances of R&B guitar that romplers and software struggle to capture. It’s getting better and better though.✌🏾

    This kid has great chops for shure! He has a bright future ahead if he stays sober. Anyway sound wise, in this demo, the Jupiter 80 sounds like the old sound canvas. I would not buy it after hearing this for the tones simply because our computers and vst's are always going to pretty much outdo any modern synth. The reason I'm considering the JP80 is 1. It has 76 keys with metal weights under em like my D70 which has been my studio controller for 25 years. 2. It looks cool and reminds me of my old Jupiter 8 3. Its metal not plastic. 4. My D70 is starting to have issues like a burnt out LCD screen and scratchy pitch bender. 5. I can get it from Sweetwater and pay it off over 4 years with no interest. If it last as long as my D70, at my age it will probably out live me. I know this videos old now, but just thought I'd chime in. Again great player, intimidating a bit really, but we need more intimidating players in this day and age.

    • @the80386
      @the80386 8 років тому

      +Chris Strobel Tatsuya is a Kid? haha Come on mate! Anyway, have you considered the J50? I love it. Solidly built. I cannot surely say that it's metal because tapping some panels feel like plastic. The side panels are made to look metal but plastic although all are one of the best quality plastic I've seen. From your words I see you're not mainly interested in sound but a robust reliable keyboard. The 50 is quite cheaper and feels great. 76 keys. Most affordable made in japan in their lineup (except for integra which is only the module). holding the 50 feels like it's made to last like the old XP series.

    • @longdark4ever
      @longdark4ever 7 років тому

      Sorry the Jupiter 50 is not like the 80, 4 Live sets per registration on the 80 and only 3 on the 50 makes all the difference and the 80 is way better built mostly steel all around. I tried the 50 but bought the 80, big difference. Although they both have the same engine.

    Sounds like those 80s in-unit rompler demos that had to use as many sounds as possible, and so ended up...cheesy. Nice performance by a person with clearly a lot of skill, but not a fan of this type.
    Also: dat d-beam.

    • @KNHSynths
      @KNHSynths 10 років тому

      well done for a demo. the jupiter 80 is a nice synth like the jupiter 8 was. Roland sound is interesting, clear and powerful. But all these machines are now just computers with some knobs (not a lot). No interest, it is best using either a true computer with a good soft synth or a a true analog synth.

    • @KevinOnKeys
      @KevinOnKeys 9 років тому

      +aydın Aydogdu I can't presume to speak for the artist...but since I did hear another unrelated version of this song I am guessing he used the pre-existing drum track from that to more readily assemble the Jupiter version of the song.
      Otherwise, the drum sounds on the Jupiter are wonderful and surely he could have done what you suggest with ease and with excellent results.
