How to apply for the USMLE ID and ECFMG ID number

- In this video I have explained how to apply for the USMLE and ECFMG identification number. This is really important and it should be completed before 2024 by all the IMGs currently aspiring to work in the U.S.. The news broke out quite some time ago that the WFME is changing the criteria for recognition of universities and from 2024 many unviersities will lose their accreditation. This is just the first step you have to do in order to register for the USMLE. After this you will receive an e-mail with your number and a password to access your ECFMG account. There you will submitt the form 186 and complete the verification via NotaryCam. On our channel we also publish educational videos for the USMLE where we discuss different topics and how to learn them. May other youtubers such as hymedicine amd manik madaan create usmle content but we think that technical advice is with step by step instructions is simply missing..

1. I got my USMLE/ECFMG ID within 1 day with password and confirmation they've established my ECFMG online account. 2. You can't submit the online form without the USMLE/ECFMG ID field filled up

This is what it says "If you do not have a passport due to your refugee status, the government is holding your passport or you have not been issued a passport please upload another form of government issued ID. Color copies of another ID are required"

Thanks for the clarification. In the column of "Your Current/Degree Medical School" should the medical school from which one had completed MBBS (medical school degree) be mentioned or one has to mention the medical school they are doing residency at?

Hi bro, my name is all in capital as it appears in my passport , do I need to write it all in capital or just capitalize the first letter of each name. However, in the instructions page they said don’t right all in capital or all in small. I’m little bit confused. what can I do for it.

Use tha first one capital only rest should be small

Yes, you can do this only using your phone.
Which three addresses are you referring to?

Does writing in Latin alphabets mean writing in English?
Theoretically not but in this case you could say yes... if you write in English then you obviously use latin characters only.
This means you must use only the 26 Latin characters of the English alphabet. ECFMG will not accept any non-Latin characters even though your personal computer may allow you to enter other characters.
What I should to do if I wrote my name in wrong way i just received email from ECFMG and found out that mistake?
look up the form to change your name and submit it quickly!!!! you must complete the registration before 2024!!

I think you can apply but when exactly they will stop accepting the applicants is still unclear from my understanding... so do it asap, you never know!

I have to do everything before 2024 or just getting login id and password is enough. My notarization meeting is scheduled in January is it OK? After notarization confirmation too will take time please help regarding this

Its been 12 days now, haven't received any email from ecfmg regarding login and password.What should i do?
Normally it didn't take so long for the people we worked with. Hope you get it, keep us updated what happens.
