The gold on the green frame was definitely the finishing touch
I'm glad you thought so!! :) Thank you!
Boy! That paint on the first frame really brought out the colors on the picture! The picture really stands out now! ❤
I thought so, too! Thank you!!
So charming. Can’t pick a favorite. All of the projects were beautiful.
I'm so glad you liked them! Thank you!! :)
You did a great job on everything. The green and peach flower pictures are beautiful. The little cubby was beautiful as is, but you did a great job.
Thank you so much!!
Love your projects today. The green frame with the gold stole the show, so pretty!
Thank you so much!
The two pictures turned out so pretty. Love the colors. All the projects turned out nice. Great job on the little box. Have fun at the bins.
Thank you so much! Fingers crossed we find some cool stuff!! :) Happy Sunday!!
I really liked the box and 2 floral pictures
I'm so glad you liked them! :) Thank you!
Awesome
Thank you!
Beautiful touch on triple drawers❤
Thank you! 😊
I really like project 1 the change of frame colour and distressing etc makes the painting pop Very nice
I'm glad you liked it!! :) Thank you!
The frames (Project 2) are exquisite! The gold decor wax was absolutely a perfect decision! 😍
I'm really glad you liked them! Thank you!! :)
Rachel: all projects are winners! That box is really special though. Carol from California
Thank you so much Carol! I'm glad you liked them!!
Lovely as usual. I liked them all but the two small pictures were my favorites.
Thank you so much 😊
*Hi Rachel‼️ Looks like you're going a little outside of your comfort zone, and I'm here for it❣️My favorite project is #2 with the floral transfers and painted frames. Kudos to you for the floral compositions you created with the transfers...they really looked like a lush garden of bright flowers when you were done...and the brown (dark) wax and gold wax on the intricate details of both frames were the perfect finishing touch. 😉 The final cubby box turned out lovely; peach isn't my jam, but I had a sister who loved the color peach more than any other color, and she would have*
*L🧡VED that little box with the drawers❣️🧡🤍 I applaud you for oiling all of the unpainted wood, too‼️🤗 It was really dry and needed a drink to refresh the wood and keep it from splitting.😊👏👏👏 Finally, the floral print in your 1st project is GORGEOUS❣️ As you know, distressing is not my preference, so the way you finished the frame is not my style - but, somebody who has that style in their home IS GOING TO LOVE THAT PICTURE❣️😉 I think for me, I would have just added dark wax to the gold frame to bring out the details...but, as you know, I am a gold decor loving girl, LOL‼️ Good thing we are not all the same - how BORING WOULD ●THAT● BE⁉️ Hahahaha❣️😂*
Haha - yeah, the peach is a sweet color, but not something I would necessarily want around me in huge quantities, lol. I do love it for little projects, though and it's a color that seems to go over well with my customers. I love using the oil wax to hydrate thirsty wood - it makes such a huge difference in the look and feel of it! And it's a relatively simple fix, which is always a good thing!! :) And I hope that someone loves the artwork as much as I do and it does sell fast!! It really is a good thing we are not all the same - truly a terrifyingly boring scenario!! Thank you so much!!! :)
Thanks for sharing another grouping of beautiful pieces.
You are so welcome! Glad you liked them - thank you!! :)
Love the picture frames and the pictures you created for the frames ❤
Thank you!! :)
Rachel, the Old School, clear wax, black wax really made the bouquet pop! It was a pretty picture before but WOW it is super nice now. The frames with the new improved inserts are gorgeous. Just call you Miss Gold Finger, now where is James Bond? Your little chest is adorable. Love the spring colors. Don't get too wet on your junk run. LOL Have a really good weekend my friend. See ya Tuesday!
It's funny - I was so nervous about painting that frame, lol. I am happy I did though - I love the way it looks now!! And me and my gold finger, haha!! My poor hands get so darn messy when I create!! :) Fingers crossed that we find some cool junk at the bins today - the rain has been really intermittent so far this morning . . . hopefully we don't get too drenched!! Happy Sunday!!
@@theeclecticcottagespokane Thank goodness you aren't having the down pour it look like you were going to get. Happy Sunday to both of you also.
My fav is the green frame!
So glad you liked it!! :) Thank you!!!
Lots of sweet ideas here! I appreciated the tip re cleaning the stencil. Thanks!
You are so welcome!! Glad you enjoyed my projects - thank you so much!! :)
Hey Rachel! The peach and green picture frames are beautiful! Love the little box with the drawers, the color is gorgeous and the decoupage paper and the stencil added the perfect touches. Awesome transformations! 🤗
Thanks so much! 😊
Everything turned out so cute I'm not much into peach but it still was beautifully done. Great job.🎉
Thank you so much!! :)
I am not a floral picture person, but you did a lovely job. I also love vintage items and would have left the drawers showing the original graphics and painted the body of the cabinet itself differently, but that's just me. It turned out nicely.
Thank you so much!
Your projects are stunning. Something so simple turned out so beautiful
Thank you so much!
You really did justice to all of those projects. Your skills are great and you have a great eye! Nicely done Rachel!!
So nice of you to say! Thank you so much!! :)
Love the unpredictable milk paint is..love the chipiness when using the heat gun

You are so welcome! Glad you liked them!! Thank you!! :)
The green and peach frames are my personal favorite I actually painted a room a lighter sage green and a peach almost the same color it was so beautiful to me and when people would look up stairs they always say who left the lights on and the lights were on it was colors for some reason just made the room full of light ❤❤❤
I'm glad you liked the frames. I love peach and sage together - such a lovely complementary combo!! :) Thank you!!
Beautiful projects. Loved them all especially the peach box…but I love boxes! Thanks for the inspirations!
You are so welcome! I'm glad you liked them - thank you!!

The picture is beautiful
Glad you liked it! :) Thank you!
Peachy Keen and Aviary beautiful new colors! You always seem so calm, I would be a mess just wondering if I was doing the project and new colors justice. The gold added just the right light, feathery touch to your projects.❤😊
I am glad you liked the colors! :) Thank you so much!!
I love all your projects. The box was my favorite.

Thanks 🤗
Rachel, the pictures were lovely. I really love the storage box! It is so similar to one I have that could use a makeover, but I doubt my ability to turn it into something this lovely. Enjoyed this video. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and a successful junk run!
Thank you so very much!! :)
Gorgeous peachy box. 😍

The floral pictures are just beautiful but for myself i’d have painted the frames both the same color as more a matching set but i love both the colors so do not know which i’d have chosen ! but again they are beautiful !

Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful work as always
Thank you so much!! :)
It's hard to pick a favorite.
That's okay!! :) Thank you!!
I DO LOVE the way your Project 1 piece turned out. ❤ I'm not crazy about the distressing on this particular piece, but your decision to paint over the gold, use Old School gray, & the waxes! Genius! Absolutely wonderful.
I'm glad you liked it! I was honestly a little nervous about painting the frame at all, but I'm glad I did! :) Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤
:)
So glad I just discovered your channel, love the projects and the way you explain them as you go along. What is "extra bond"?
Well I'm glad you found me! Thank you so much!! And extra bond is an additive specifically for milk paint that helps it adhere to slick surfaces. :)
Rachel how beautiful all these Diy's turned out I love how you painted the frames and your file box turned out so cute. Can you tell me again what you put into your milk paint and the color of the peach I think you said it was a Diy product ??❤❤❤❤
The peach color is Sweet Pickins milk paint and the color is "Just Peachy". :) I added extra bond (also by Sweet Pickins) to help the paint adhere to the pieces without chipping.
It's really amazing to me still LOL how with just some paint how something can be completely transformed. Painting that frame black totally made that picture POP! It brought out so many details of the actual picture. I'm sure it will sell fast. Loved all the other transformations too. Question for you: When you say you are putting a little bit of mineral spirits in your wax (great idea btw) are you talking about the ones that remove paint?? When I do a search that's all that comes up for me.
It really is amazing how changing the color of the frame on a piece of art can completely transform the entire thing. :) Hopefully that one does sell fast - I have more to do, lol!! And yes - I use regular mineral spirits to soften and thin out my dark and black waxes. I generally don't use it with the clear - that way when I use it as the first coat of wax, I have a barrier between the paint and the dark or black wax with the mineral spirits that helps protect my paint. :)
@@theeclecticcottagespokane Thank you Rachel for answering my question. I was pretty sure that's what you used but wanted to make sure. And yeah, I realized you were thinning only the dark waxes out. Next time I use a dark wax I think I may try that idea.
Wow, the dark frame on project 1 is beautiful and really makes the flowers pop! Didn't like the picture in the gold frame, love it with the dark one. I'm new to sweet pickens milk paint so I don't understand why to use the milk paint if you're using a no chippy additive....can you comment?
I'm glad you liked the frame - I was honestly debating whether or not to paint it, but I'm so happy that I did! :)
As for the milk paint, the colors are fantastic and the finish is super smooth, so I like using milk paint on a lot of different things, and there are many times that I am painting over a color (like the white frame) that I don't want to see in my final project, so I use the bond to keep it from chipping. There are also projects that I just want a specific color on but don't want a chippy finish (like the box). I hope that makes sense! :)
My favorite is the Peachy File Box!! The 2 flower frames are my 2nd. What do you do with all your decoupage scraps? TFS 😊❤
I'm glad you liked them!! Thank you so much!! :) And I keep all of my scraps in a drawer until I can find a project to use them on. :)
What did u mean by wiping your edges while painting ? My paint tends to bunch on the edges and I don’t realize it until it sets .. so you use a wet rag or what?
I use a damp shop towel to clean paint off of areas that I don't want any paint at all. Everywhere else I use my brush to level out my paint. :)
❤❤❤
:)
