I now live in greater Boston. When I lived in the Mlps-St paul in the 1980's, there were many comparable malls to current malls in Boston Metro. Natick Mall is similar to Southdale; Northshore Mall quality wise was like Rosedale, South Shore Plaza like eighties Burnsville Center, and Burlington Mall like Ridgedale.
Fun fact: The center rotunda originally had a fountain in the center.
It would have been fun throwing some lucky coins in the ridgedale center fountain and watch them splash downward into the mall water .

This mall is still a very busy shopping place because it is so far out from mall of america .
