I will never forget Busch gardens I use to go every Saturday with a few friends my parents bought the year round pass for this brings back so many memory's..
I live and Tampa and still to this very day love montu. They painted it a few months ago and made it look brand new again.
Yes Iam bored of it but Busch Gardens is starting to build a launch coaster and it should open by next May. Also I am trying to get a job there as ride operator for one of there coasters. @jon91xp Got a new video of Cheetah Hunt comming up in 1 hour. But it will be disapointing. The tains are at full speed and it seems slow.
@cannibalonXthedead It was over 65 mph when it first opened in 1996. After a couple of years they had to put extra breaks on the tracks after the third inversion to slow it down. Not to mention they slow it down at the break station more than they did before just before it goes thru the last 2 inversions. Montu is still a good coaster but its boring now because its old and there are bigger ones out there that will blow Montu away.
@TheThundercoaster Top speed hits at the bottom of the first drop before the loop. About 90% of the time most rollercoasters hit there top speed at the bottom of the hill after it goes over the lift. Most do!! But there are few that have somewhere else that hits top speeds elswhere. Thanks for asking. P.S. Going to six Flags over Georgia next week to film Goliath and Mind Bender. This is my favorite roller coaster in the world. It was my first inverted and the craziest one I've ever been on. this is the only one I trust out of any roller coaster in the world.
My personal favorite coaster has always been the Raptor at cedar point. But i can see liking this one for a lot of the same reasons too :)
At The Time We Did The Commercial It Was Going Over 65 MPH. There Was No Brakes During The Ride. But As The Ride Got Older It Was Needed To Slow Down. They Added Brakes To Parts Of The Track. Now You Are Lucky If It Gets To 60 MPH.
I have been there last week. I think it's the best rollercoaster from Florida. I have been on Kraken, Hulk, Kumba, Dueling Dragons, all those rollercoasters are the BEST, but this one is just a little bit better. So smooth and fast. I liked it a lot. I came especially from Holland to ride all the coasters.

this ride and the original batman coaster at six flags great america are two of my favorite coasters
@socalschafer I broke this record back in 1997 when the ride was smooth. My favorites are Nitro At Six Flags Great Adventure and Millenniumforce at Cedar Point.

at first i was a so afraid of rollercoasters. but then my mom basically forced me on the ride. but now i love rollercoasters. this is my fave.!!!!

i've been on that ride, like, 20 times. i live in maine, but my mom lives in tampa, and when i visit her, i go to bucsh gardens! it's the best amusement park ever!
if you ever go there, make sure to go to adventure island, which is a water park right next door to bucsh gardens!

Yes I agree with you but Millenniumforce was not there in 1996 and I get to ride Montu all winter and no coasters are open in the winter in Cedar point

Black Mamba in Germany has also a very good theming. It's a smaller B&M rollercoaster but very intensive. The G-force is their 4,5. And Montu has 3,8 G-force. Montu is much higher and longer.
@ComedyCrusher99 Ifyou are talking about the Intimadator 305 I rode it last year and I hate it!! It gave me a headache because your head bangs into the head rest several time. Also the park closes 5 months out of a year because of cold winters. Here in Florida you can ride a coaster every day even Christmas and New Years..
It is! I'm originally from Tampa, and when I was single I'd keep a year-round pass. I'd be shopping at the nearby mall and decide just to drop in for a beer and a couple of rides. Without a doubt, this is the best coaster I've ever been on.

Its ok, People have there own opinion of the rides at parks. Montu has gotten a little rough being it just turned 15 years old.
Well said. I'm an enthusiast myself. Going to visit the Orlando themeparks (and Busch Gardens ofc) for the first time in my life this september. Can't wait! Montu will probably be the first coaster of the trip. Let's go!

i went to cedar point in May, followed by universal, busch gardens,six flags great adventure and finishing off with six flags new england. yeah, none of them have anything on cedar point, the ultimate amusement park. although, busch gardens is an extremely nice park and all of their coasters are fun.
this ride believe it or not was my first Looping floorless inverded coaster and it was AWESOME i've had the bug since then and that was Four years ago now i just want 2 go on every coaster possibly made!!!!!!!

@bobcomasta First of all!!! Forget your fears!! I was afraid o heights until I went on rollercoasters and the World Trade Center in New York City. I was 13 years old. Start off in the middle seats. And preferably the front row and keep your eyes open. Closing them only puts your body in more fear because you don't know which way you are going. Mostly the girls scream, I think its funny and laugh. You are going to get off the ride the same way you got on it. Have Fun!!!!!!!!

Very fun, feels like your flying. It gives you that feeling that the coaster's going to fly off the tracks, but that's what makes it fun.
@Millenniumforce It was a decent crowd, but it was our plan to only ride montu. We're doing this thing where we go to BG every day and ride the same coaster for a couple of hours over and over again
@crazytomtv Because I was 100 miles away from that park also they didnt have the Alpengeist yet and also they close down for 5 months out of the year for winter. Here in Florida I can ride all 365 days of the year they never close.
Has anyone else noticed that Montu and Afterburn at Carowinds are just mirror images of each other until after the batwing?

I remember going to BG Florida and it was raining and the park was like EMPTY, I got on this with no wait (and like one of five people on the coaster... XD) and it was one of the best coasters I've ever been on, a very smooth ride, very satisfying!
I only go 1 time a month now. getting bored of the same coasters. They need to build a huge one so I can go back every day!!!
This IS the best Inverted steel roller coaster in the world. Don't agree with me? That's fine, just check out Amusement Today's website and go to their Golden Ticket Awards and you'll find that Montu is the higest ranked Inverted steel roller coaster in the world. The Golden Ticket Awards are the Emmys of the Amusement/Theme park industry.
I've gotten stuck on this thing twice on the lift hill. And I've only rode it 7 times ever.

Jaw Tooth Well I love Ohio from May till October and Cedar Point. Florida sucks during the months of June July and August to hot and humid with lots of rain

I was too but i rode scorpion as a warm up and then forced on Kumba after that i was hooked Montu is the best there
ive rode all coasters in fl kraken, hulk, manta, dueling dragons, sheikra, kumba, but none like this. altho hulks liftoff is pretty sweet no doubt about it.
Imagine my first time ridding this roller coaster.........................it was great. I like the freeling there is no floor i almost lost my shoe

Wow, how could you still enjoy it after that many rides? After a few times it loses it's thrill to me. Looks like a great ride though.
Got Season Passes To All The Parks And Go To Them At Least Once A Week.
Montu is my favorite ride in the park I love it
i went at the start of july. in my opinion sea world has come out on top out of all the parks this year. i would recomend going in the evening to watch the shamu rocks show and the new firework display i think its called 'beleive'. Also get a quick ride on kraken and manta at night. It seems so much cooler haha.

@cannibalonXthedead Your right!! Like Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster. I think they suck, because they last under a minute and you got to wait 2 hours on line. My 3 top favorite rollercoasters are number one NITRO, number two Millenniumforce, and number 3 Goliath. Until I ride more It could change. I love long time and 0 G's

My home park is Knotts Berry Farm and some guy there has ridden Xcelerator 22,000 times already.

boxcarcrzy12 the companies use a baseline for rollercoasters like a car chassis , its basicly the same underneath but could look slightly different
