Just tame one of the venenosaurs, the sauropod that knocked you out that time. They do very little damage per spit but a TON of torpor. Also get a zuni. Someday you'll read these! I live in hope!
The Steam mod page says "If a Pyroraptor dies (and is NOT a baby) they have a chance to revive as a Phoenix Pyroraptor."

I had problems with mods when Ark Updated too, first the game would keep crashing before I could even see the loading screen, and then some creatures would be in their T-Poses!
There was an issue with the fantastic beast mod with the wildcard update. I think it’s fixed now
Mods breaking when the game updates happens on any game, it's a normal thing

He could have hit it while it was going out because it was already really close and axe could have hit or kill it
NGL I would have rage quit so well done 🤣 Mods breaking is really frustrating atm, I lost all my materials and pretty much my whole base when the last update caused the visual storage and structures remastered mods to just... despawn 💀
The problem prehistoric beast mod is so buggy and broken that you have to keep updating it over and over.
coming home from work to a new axe video makes my day better.

i’m so happy you came all the way to this channel just to post that. hahahaha. you must have nothing to do.
I’ve only had success of getting them to turn into a Phoenix after they have fully grown up. But the percentage chance for a tamed Pyro to turn is 5%. I’ve had success after killing as few as 3 Pyros to get one to turn. And I’ve had bad luck after killing 50 Pyros to get one to turn. So just breed a crap ton of eggs, wait for them all to fully grow up, then just start killing them one by one. You can do that with them claimed, so they don’t run away when you kill one. However, remember tamed Pyros have a 5% to turn. Or you can leave them unclaimed (10% chance for wild), but the others will start running away if you start killing.
So maybe if you want a higher chance, build a breeding trap with the windows so you can put AC units in it. Hatch them, wait for them to fully grow up, then kill the unclaimed Pyros for the higher percentage chance. This way they won’t be able to run away in that trap.

Axe, my guy. You were pelting them with normal arrows instead of tranq arrows
If you don't want your dinos to be attacked anymore. You should build a wall around the entire land of the castle so that way no dinos but flyers can harm your tamed dinos. I did it and never had anymore problems. Trust me you wont regret this idea.
I don't get why you wouldn't use Siv who you can shoot off but also track health and torpor on.
