It was the spirit of the old cold forgotten buick saying goodbye. That leaves you with only 1 old, cold, forgotten something, that I still haven't forgotten.
That was a car with many great stories to tell, ending in many "parts". -Quite literally. :D Shame to have seen it go, but nothing lasts forever; Glad you guys had fun with it while you had it.
Nice to know that I am not the only person to drive a car that leaked brake fluid. The old Audi when I got it has a leaking brake proportion valve. Every time you pressed the brakes, the fluid level would drop a tiny bit.
Gotta love your dependable old vehicles. RIP LeBaron and Lumina.
Not as bad as the time we had on a road trip. We were en route to a campsite in Pagosa Springs, CO (coming from Houston, TX). We were on a hill somewhere in New Mexico, miles from cell service or civilization for that matter. That’s when we heard a loud pop from behind us. One of the tires on our travel trailer had blown. My dad had to change it there in the thin mountain air. It was no fun,
Heh, reminds me of a time when I was going to start a family road trip. When everything was already packed up ready to go in the van (1989 Ford Aerostar), I found out that the oil cap was missing. Good way to start a vacation eh?
You couldn't see it in the videos, but when I was at Walsh Motors, I wrote "Weasel was here" in the dust on the windshield of the pink Buick.
We're glad you're still with us.
LOL That was very funny Thank you for telling!!
Uh no the buick! :'(

Nice story :)
well that was an interesting story!!
but I doubt you would want to hit an ambulance because you would get one hefty bill ( no pun intended ) lol
and looks like the brakes on the buick was good if you lost fluid and still made it home!!
Hey i had only just got to the floor with my cup of coco and looking up to the chair where your image was sitting and the story was finished!!
I dont know bill, that wasnt a story, more like a flash comment, what i want to know is what do i do with my coco now there is no story to drink it to? lol :-)
The teaching of this story is: Do it in the day time lol.
i have a brake line explode on my buick just a few months ago, it happened in my driveway and spilled almost all of the fluid out. It still had some breaks and i had to go places so i drove it. ahh buicks...

Yep I found out the hard way that my 91 camry did not have a split brake system . I was driving back in 1999 and pushed the pedal went to the floor . I was going down a hill but got lucky a big hill in front of me . I was able to slow and stop looked under a my front brake line was broke but it tool the whole system down. I wonder if your had a split brake system?
Oh no, I think I started something!
Wouldn't you grab the jumper cables before you get in, makes more sense to me! Lol I make mistakes all the time

Mom's basement is get'n congested!
Brakes are over rated , just like floor boards , just wear good shoes , and drag them along through the rust holes to stop ;)
no he wasnt
Failing brakes always leaves you with a story you won't forget. Your lucky you weren't far away from home like I was when my truck's brakes went out, It's a lot of FUN driving a truck home 70 miles with only rear brakes hauling an engine and transmission in the bed.
