I also sold through Mark and it went well. I was invited to a scotch auction at Sotheby's and was shocked by the pricing. You need someone like Mark whom you can trust.
Thanks! Such a great video! Very clear and informative. I have bottles ranges from $1k-$3k and definitely would reach out to you to move them when time comes.
Highly interesting video Mark, thankyou. Living in Germany I do also have the option of using Ebay or local listings which is great for those Christmas gifts I would never drink ;)
@@MarkLittler odd bottle. Plenty on there flipping their rare batches though. Personally I only buy whisky I intend to drink, even in 20 years (figure some will be out of reach by then!) 😁.
Thanks a lot for the info Mark, so in according to your experience how much you reckon would cost a set of: 10,12,15,18,21,25,30Yo Springbank? Thanks a lot for your answer 🤘

Sadly alcohol + Canada = impossible. I've never been able to make it work - even when we've had buyers prepared to fly over to collect it's never been simple.
Scotch whisky auction Glasgow still went ahead and let the Springbank Ukraine charity bottles appear when whisky auctioneer only sold ones that were donated like one or two other auctions. Another auction didn't accept them at all.Totally unreal from SWA,and the flippers. The bottles should have been banned from all of them unless donated for charity.
Thanks for the information in this video. I do want to ask about the fees or/and commissions involved in the ML LTD shop and selling through you as a broker. When you got the those points in the video this wasn’t discussed or mentioned as a Con so presumably you have quite low fees because you were quick to list this as a Con for online auctions. More transparency on your fees would be great in a comment back @MarkLittler
Hi James - sure - no problem at all. Our fees are 12% sellers - no buyers comm. We also have a £6/bottle listing fee. Both of these prices include VAT. We tend to use a list price of 35% over the average auction hammer price at the time of listing. As such you are still going to net 20%+ more than the average auction price. HOWEVER, the biggest drawback is the sale lead time. Most UK buyers source at auction so overseas buyers (esp. the US is our biggest market) are the biggest source of sales. Speaking of the USA.... SInce filming this video I have also bought The Whiskey Wash - one of the largest US whiskey sites (2-3m vititors per year). I have added The Whiskey Wash shop on there too. As such bottles on our shop have visibitlity on the Mark Littler Shop, The Whiskey Wash Shop, Whisky Base and Wine Searcher.

Totally worth selling with Mark, I had a deal in the 20k range. Went smoothly 24 hours deal sorted!

Oh wow. That's great. Do you sell much on eBay? I might have to check it out and see what's on there!

Hi Mark,I haven’t got nothing to sell (no one will buy my stuff anyway)but I find your videos interesting to watch. Slàinte
Hey David. Glad you liked the video 👍 and as for having bottles to sell as long as you've got a few ones open that you enjoy that's all that matters!

How do I go about selling my bottle of lagavulin 37
Any advice on where to sell whisky from Japan?
Hey. Do you have any recommendations for som whiskey to invest in ?
Hey - watch my video 'The Best Whisky Investments 2022' :)
How much would I get for for my rosebank 12 f&f ?
Hey. Does it have the original wooden box? And what's the level like? Is it into the neck?
No box, level in neck, tried to keep it out of sunlight and heat. Brought from the whisky shop In 2003, kept reciept
Also have a bottle of laphroaig 17yr old lim Ed 1of 247 , any ideas on this one ?
Thanks for the video Mark. What about if you live in 🇨🇦? Can I still work with you and your company?
Sadly alcohol + Canada = impossible.
I've never been able to make it work - even when we've had buyers prepared to fly over to collect it's never been simple.
Hi Mark, is it just whisky that you deal in or do you also sell other spirits?
We can help with other spirits also - it depends on what they are though. Pop me an email - mark@marklittler.com
You still doing this? I haven't received any email response..
Hey. Sorry. Please email mark@marklittler.com
@@MarkLittler done, thanks Mark, very interesting video.
Homie said "the biggest problem with a broker is the price is fixed. No sudden changes in commission" like that's a bad thing
If only you could collect from the US!
I jnow! The US is such a nightmare of regulations! At least you're not in Canada though - that's even worse.
@@MarkLittler May still consider bringing some higher value bottles over the old fashioned way for sale in the shop!
Can a US citizen physically bring the whiskey to the UK or another country that makes it easier? @@MarkLittler
