    I'd love fibre to and around the home. Unfortunately no fibre in my area and for me to put it around the house its way to expensive haha.

    Does this work for non visible fiber connections? We have that occurring on our network currently, and this device would be perfect for those instances down the road.

    i dont think this is worth it whats so ever
    get a fiber optic visual fault locater i bought it for cheap like 10 USD and it works to check if fiber cables are in fault or not

      Different use case imo. I mainly use VFI for checking path. Often times they are even to strong and will still show light in small breaks. This is great when I just need to see if I'm receiving signal at the equipment without having to setup the VFI at the distant end. No more cupping the end and risking my eyes, lol

      Tbf I did two installed (one failed and the other one works) and that’s probably be it for my life time maybe 2-4 more (as you could guess I don’t do this for a living I just installed fiber for my home and it’s not used for internet it’s used mainly to get a hdmi signal from one place to the other
      The internet was done by my isp, but this use case was niche for my pleasure) 🤣
