Those are a great machine and last a lifetime if taken care of. They are built like a tank with quality parts. Not all the plastic and cheap crap they use nowdays. My Toro is 35 years old and operates like new yet.

Just did a valve retainer replacement on my 81 7/24 . lube the controls, makes a big difference.

People question me why I do maintenance on snowblowers when its warm out with the sun shining? Well my answer to that is I rather have my machines ready when the snow flies and not working on it in the shop.
