What a great start to the year to see a new Air Armoury video. Always intriguing, interesting, and entertaining.
Intresting and informative, as always a well done video without any waffling and fluff. Keep 'em coming JRH
Keep up the good work, it's always enjoyable to watch your vidz
Well , that was fantastic ... A big thank you for all the time and effort into entertaining us ... Great vid , and super interesting ... won't be getting any of them fancy arsed armour piercing pellets , any day soon ... Have a great new year JRH ... be looking forward to some more interesting vids in 2020

Great test. Kept me tuned in the whole time 😂. Keep up the great work 👍
Comprehensive, well done. HNY.
Happy New Year Mr JRH. Nice video, really fun. I liked the cool camera angles. Something I’ve always wanted to see is how many sand castles could an air rifle penetrate. May not be quite as scientific as your tests but would be fun to watch.
Are both rifles 12ft/lbs? I would of thought the heavy pellets would go deeper?
thank you for this video and a happy new year
Could you do a video on pellet traps as I shoot in my garden
Very interesting. Significant differences between the pellets.
Great video as usual 👍
Good job thanks
Good job
Do you do all your filming in the summer months? I’m guessing you are in the UK but the weather always seems to be half decent and your even in a t shirt!
Four years later... this pops up exactly when I want it... spoooky! So, if you're into whacking wabbits, you'll want the ammunition which penetrates LEAST because it loses more of its energy in the target, so lethal effect is more likely... if you get a clean shot (but clean shots are more likely with .177).
Now I know what to do with my Screwfix, BigDug and Argos back-catalogues. BTW, there was more penetration than I expected for the power. I might fill some off-cuts of cellular paviour for a test of dry vs wet sand to see if it's quieter.
When we was kids we judged them by biscuit tin lids. My old bsa which my dad "fixed" after the seal split could do 2 biccy tins and you would find the pellets in the 3rd tin or 1 milk bottle.
To make it a fair test, they need to hit in the same area on each board. Like glass is easier to break when hit in the centre of the pane.
What again is the brand of the
.22 rifle?
Jarred was your name ? Happy New Year to you and your family !!! What fpe these gun produce ? 17 ?
What pellet do you recomend me for going through steel?
Gammo armour piercing pellets, took out a challenger 2 main battle tank at 25 yards in my back garden with a Gat pistol
Trouble with this type of test , there is a lot of variation, should a pellet spread it’s not gonna penetrate as deep , so depends on how soft the lead is , but a good interesting video ,cheers Shane uk
Nice vid !!!
My tuned .22 TH78 and XS79 rifles would absolutely obliterate those results :)
Anybody know if a smk 17. 22 any good thanks
What's the reason for all the raunchy racket? What did I do to you?
I don't think I can get your logic here. 3 of your 4 backstop material choices are ones you would never use to construct a backstop. This would have been more useful if you'd have chosen materials that would sensibly be used for a safe backstop.
Particle board for our American friends.
Airguns are great fun anyone noticed how prices have gone nuts in recent time's.
I found wood, plastic and paving slabs produce ricochet with lead pellets all over the place. Lead is toxic to humans and animals alike.
So a big cardboard box packed with cardboard and paper and held together by heavy quality duct tape critically placed makes a good backstop.
Which is what you get shooting with castrated (English Law) guns! 😂
Gamos publicity department , not actually any good gimmick
