I agree ... that voice . He could sing the phone book and I'd buy tickets , but pair him up with an amazing song , like this one , and you have pure magic . Thanks for posting this
@velvetunderpants44 Like his mother (Linda), Teddy is able to convey a soul-deep pain and longing. Thanks so much to the person who uploaded it. It's a great old song, and well and respectfully done here.
I'd like to hear a duet with George Jones and Teddy Thompson. Not necessarily this song, but one of the old ones, with that hurtin' sound. I think it just might spark a revival of "Traditional" Country music.
That singing along with the deceased production technique is a terrible idea. Natalie Cole's "Unforgetable" was a huge hit, but a tacky, horrible record. People who appreciate "traditional" country music know about this. People who need that sort of a sonic tourist trap primer can keep bro-country to themselves.
Che meravigliosa musica❤❤❤❤

Absolutely brilliant.
BRAVO ..... THIS IS AMAZING> SO MUCH SOUL >
Perfect tempo. He can carry it. Extra-ordinary vocal commitment,
his voice is like velvet.

So well said...
Amazing version!
awesome
Great singer and under rated, there is a great version of Teddy singing this on the current Transatlantic Sessions BBC4
This song doesn't need to be played faster. This is a good tempo for this song, great version!
It shows off his voice, allows him to hold the notes
:-) WOW!
From the description I thought you meant Birmingham Alabama.
But you know he's English?
Great voice. Soulful guitar. Too slow.
