The Greenworks G40LM41K2x is a cordless lawn mower that has a deck size of 41cm, covers lawns up to 500m² and has 5 cutting heights between 25mm and 80mm. This Greenworks cordless lawn mower has a large 50 litre grass collection box, charges in a very respectable 30 minutes (fast charger), provides up to 30 minutes of run time per 2.0Ah battery and has the ability to mulch the lawn clippings.
The Greenworks 40V Cordless Lawn Mower 41cm is one of the best selling cordless lawn mowers in the UK, but is it all what it’s cracked up to be? I tested this mower in my own garden, where I tested its performance, power and durability with a number of tests that I will share with you in this review.
This Greenworks G40LM41K2x mower has been selling extremely well here in the UK, why? Well because it is simply great value for money and competes well with the likes of Bosch and Worx to boot! Mulching the lawn cuttings is becoming more and more popular, and this mower comes supplied with a mulching plug as standard. This is something you have to pay extra for with Bosch mowers and is not available on the Worx cordless mower.
What about quality though I hear you say? Well I think you will be equally impressed when you see me put this mower through its paces in my video review below.
Below I’ll detail all the features and functions of the Greenworks 41cm 40V, both the good and not so good. I will also outline the different battery options available and their model numbers so you know exactly what you are getting for your hard earned cash.

A couple of questions. Your lawn is quite large so did the 2 batteries suffice? If so was there any charge left in the 2nd battery. Also, I have a sloping lawn. Is this push mower or self propelled? If it's a push mower how heavy is it? Thanks.
Hi, Yes I need both batteries to cut my lawn at 500 sqm, each battery will cut around 250m sqm but if I let the grass grows too long (like first cut of the season) it just falls short and I have to recharge to finish. Remember the G40LM41K2XF model has a fast charger at just 30 minutes. The weight is around 20kg with the battery another 0.8kg. Hope this helps.

I see the 41cm doesn’t come with a roller, quite annoying when you’re looking for stripes
I can’t find any information of the 46cm, whether it comes with a roller or not?

Struggling to figure out which is the best the 40v or the 48v :(, could you possible advise me?
Hi, in terms of power there is not much difference between the 40v and 48v, opt for a higher amp hour for longer run times.
Struggling to pick a decent mower, I have watched all your videos they are so helpful and your website, thank you for all the effort you put in, I keep going between the greenworks 41cm but they only come with 2ah, cobra, lawnmaster and the works, hyundai batteries too small too. Just after good cutting power decent battery life without spending £650
How do you eject the battery pack from the mower?
Hi, you need to press the grey button on the battery and battery should spring out towards you and can then be removed from the mower. Hope this helps Mark

Two great cordless mowers, but I like the fact that the Greenworks comes with the mulching plug supplied. Trying to get a plug for the Murray is very difficult. Are you planning on power sharing the battery with other tools?

Unless I missed it there seems to be no mention of battery life, reading elsewhere you only get 15 minutes cut time which is pretty crap…
