Great game, much much needed win for Saints. Hopefully this could be a key to turning the ship around and fight for the top 2. Also, who's the main commentator for Sky Sports now, after Bill's passing?
The rules regarding downwards pressure on the ball must have changed. How on Earth can that first Salford try be sufficient downwards pressure? His finger tips were literally just barely touching the bottom edge of the ball!
part of the problem is that even with modern technology, slow mo replays often have blurry details which means no one can really say for sure what is happening
@@redrobot8925 but in this case that doesn’t apply. In my day a try was only scored if the hand was on the ball and the ball was pushed into the ground, even if only momentarily. In this case the hand wasn’t even on the ball at all; his fingers merely brushed the bottom of the ball. How on Earth can he apply downwards pressure??
knowles and batchelor guaranteed to get bans whereby any wigan players in trouble after the leeds game this weekend will get fines.can see it coming. Jake Burns gonna be class.
That clothes line off the ball incident @4:23 should have been a red. For fucks sakes the ref says it's forceful, it head/neck, how is it NOT a red card!
Ball is on the ground, fingers are on the ball, albeit a small amount there is clear unseperated contact with the ball whilst it's on the ground, ergo it's a try. The ball even moves from the 'pressure' of the fingers touching it. that the ball might squeeze forward afterwards - from the pressure of the finger/s, is irrelevant, there has been some pressure on the ball whilst it's on the ground and in the in goal area.
Fair try that Salford try, damn bs NRL wouldn't give it,pressure doesn't ave to be at direct above, just as long as not only pushing ball along in knock on fashion, I hate evil nrl bunker, denies 200 fair tries a year I believe bless th fair PomBunker
You have no idea do you, Tommy's moving fast, he couldn't have stopped short if he wanted to, it was his momentum all day long. His arm moving would only be relevant if he came to a stop and then promotes the arm over the line. That never happened as his momentum was never stopped short of the line. Learn the rules.🤣 BTW, did you see any objection from the Salford players? No you didn't as they knew it was a try.
Excellent highlights.
Well done editor for showing some yellow cards for once, still managed to not include the first one though
What a hit from bell 👏👍

Agree and I’m a Salford fan. Bad call .

Mate it’s the most deserved bans anyway. Knowles should have seen red

Genuinely no clue how that hankinson try stands, no way is that grounded
That's what it has been like to play against you, as it is now against Wigan, for years. Your turn on the chopping block.

Blatant cheating, Ref saw Salford dummy runner run straight at Batchelor. That was a penalty to Saints, games gone if that’s allowed.

So glad team kicking 2 pen goals in a row don't win, damn most soft clock pen goals

Have you ever heard of momentum you simpleton?
@@GrahamLowe-yq7xc Can clearly see he promotes ball foward after elbow touches the floor, tackle complete, learn the rules "lad"
Tbf Salfords first try was a knock on if anything so no one can complain
