+GuyinaHelmet Sorry to hear about your mom. I'm going to go look at this bike tomorrow, never ridden a motorcycle or bicycle so I'm hoping it's a good beginner motorcycle.
@@icebat4168i’m picking one up off my coworker in less than two weeks as my first bike. 3k miles and i only gotta pay a grand, i feel like i can’t beat that for a beginner bike
its a little beast! tell miss hardbody welcome to the cruiser clan! and yeah those Vulcans are an awesome bike and sound good too! looking forward to seeing the new machine when you get it and should be good seeing the misses out with ya!
Escape Behind Bars I'm so excited to do dual rides and dual vlogs with her! And I should be getting the Vulcan before the end of the year, probably in December or so! I'm looking forward to it!!
I watched your video couple times bro I really appreciate you putting it out there you made a lot of sense, to us new bike riders I'm getting the same bike you're on right nowI have not rode a bike in 25 years I'm 45 years old and you video really gave me a boost of confidence to get back out there and ride I was just looking for certain videos on Suzuki 250s and I came across your video. I found one that's fairly cheap and it's in really good condition so I'm going to purchase it and I hope I ride as well as you do with the same type of attitude. I also have a wife that is scared to death that I'm purchasing this bike because she would be mybut you trust me so that's fantastic and that gives me the energy and Truth to get one of these bikes and just ride it like you said till the wheels come off. If there's anything you can tell me about this bike specifications or any little tricks I would be glad to hear them if you post another video on it. I will post a video when I get and my first ride on it is well I hope you check it out. From one bike rider to anotherthank you for this video like I said it gave me mad. Hope to see another take care of guy
Honestly, this means so much to me! I'm so happy you're picking up a bike! As far as your wife goes, if you can convince her to also learn to ride, it will probably go a long way to allaying her fears about you riding. It helped my wife tremendously, and even though she doesn't have this bike anymore, she thought it was a great beginner bike for her. When you start riding, make sure to take a couple pictures and share them (if you're comfortable) on Instagram or Twitter! Welcome to the two-wheeled life!
Thanks to ***** for his riding tutorial videos! Those lessons enabled me to teach myself to ride, and I was able to pass it down to my wife! No words to express my gratitude, bro!
You guys are the coolest, thanks for all the props and encouragement! Can't deny I love the wind and the cage-free, organic, non GMO riding lifestyle ;) I'll probably "slip" into vlogging pretty soon :D
xXCatWalk Xx Yeah, especially if you live anywhere that it gets cold! I'll tell her! She's gonna start motovlogging at some point, under the name Freudian Slip!
How did u fix the brake pedal ? I think it comes like that stock. I just got mine and I noticed that I have to really press down to engage the rear brakes.
I can't find the video I used as a tutorial, and I don't have that bike anymore, but this video is informative and should help you out (hopefully)! Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/video/3AlgjprEnKQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=intrepidDan
Call me weird for all I care. I own a '12 Vulcan 1700 Classic and '15 Hayabusa and still own both. Just bought a used '09 GZ250 with only 12 miles yesterday with intent to use it as a commuter and around town. Just getting used to going from powerful bike to what I would almost call way way underpowered. :) But I am getting used to having to move the throttle a bit more to give it a push versus the hayabusa where you only have to twist a few millimeter and it really moves. I took it out for a spin for 40 miles yesterday around town and it is a great bike to have while saving lots of fuel. While the Vulcan is more comfortable than this bike, it is surprising that I was more comfortable than I thought I would be on this bike while being 6'4". Oh yes, motorcycle training course is the best investment. UA-cam videos will get you by but actual course is best. When I got my first bike, my plan was to get a 50cc scooter but no. 250cc motorcycle? No. I ended up with '06 Suzuki Boulevard C50T as my first bike with no regret. After trying this GZ250, I realized how much I would have regretted buying it as a first bike if I had wanted to travel. Being a big guy, it would have been way underpowered for what I want it to do (traveling involving freeways and hills) even though it can be done. Since I already own well capable bikes, this bike is a great addition to my riding collection (in my opinion) since it is not costing me anything more on my current insurance after playing with the numbers with the insurance company.
Hey man that was an awesome video man but yes the camera is wayyyyyyy to low keep it in the same place but add adhesive tape to the bottom of the sticky mount to tilt it up
Cruisers are awesome bro! I switched last year and have been disappointed with it yet. Just a word of advice, don't get rid of the ninja! You'll miss her when you get that sports bike itch, I know I miss mine sometimes :(
Torontoskate7 I am 6'2", with a 38" inseam. It's a blast to ride for short distances for me, but any long trips would make my knees start to hurt. If you have long legs and a short torso, I'd go with something a little bigger, or at least plan on making some adjustments to the shifter and rear brake placements.
I can dig it! Congrats on the new ride sir & best of luck to Freudianslip! ;) Im not quick to listen to all that mumbo jumbo talk either. Aint no body got time fo dat
It's been a long time since I did it, but there is an adjustor with a locknut and an adjusting nut along the brake line or attached to the pedal itself. This video explains it pretty well. ua-cam.com/video/amAymyNK4DI/v-deo.html Sorry I can't be more specific; the ol' memory ain't what it used to be!
These little boogers are mighty good fun. I've had a couple, as well as other 250s. Love the "little" bikes! Mighty shame they were all stolen and/or vandalized... People suck ass. Great bikes though!!
I trained on the same make/model bike for my MSF course. Great bike.
My mom passed her Gz250 down to me before she died, I get to ride it next spring and I finally am ready to ride it.
Awesome! They're great little bikes!

YES! Theyre great beginner motorcycles. NOTHING to be scared of. Id recomend one to anyone. Take care of it and it will take care of you
Sounds like your mom was an amazing woman, thank you for sharing this with us,I hope to be buying one shortly...ride on man!!!
Just passed the MSF course and found a 2007 gz250 for $2500. I’m taller but this looks like a fun bike to learn on.

Hey Chip what camera did you use to record this video? The quality of the video and audio is superb.
I honestly believe people need both vehicles. A motorcycle AND car. Tell your wife congrats on getting on two wheels!!! That's bad ass

zmotoguy Unfortunately, for me to get the Vulcan, I have to give up the Ninja. Not enough room for three bikes.
How fast can you cruise on this bike?
How tall are you? just wondering because im 6'2 and was looking for a similar bike for my first bike.

PS. That bike is made for a short people like 155cm - 170cm. Then it is a very nice to ride!
I am 165cm and I love that bike.
your wife is gonna love that thing man. Its perfect for her.
also, just buy a nuda 900.. like RJ. it will be awesome
***** I could never live up to his standard, though.
No one can, RJ is a legend

Top end speed?
Whenever your wife gets settled and is comfortable riding, make a video, I would support it....
How fast can it go?
With me on it, I could get it up to 70 mph, but it didn't like it very much.
Chip Hardbody mine only hits 45 and I don't know what's wrong with it. I'm 6'3" 220lbs just figured I was just too big for it.
Sounds like a mechanical issue. I'm pushing 260 and got this one up to 70.
Seems too low for the camera placement.
Arill0 Yeah, I figured. I fixed it now, though, so my next few videos should be back to normal!
If you are a long leg driver..... that is not your bike !
Ey if you still want to ride and relax buy a Suzuki skywave
nice view of the pavement..and discussion of wifes shoes.. or something.... wtf?
Shoes? What?
she can do this!!! I love this video!
