Hi Davie, nice pattern fly that can be tied in many different colours and works well because of the pulsing of the Marabou feathers. I like the way you tie and don’t want to see you catch any nasty germs, so please don’t lick your fingers when using feathers etc; you should see some of the chemicals used and their residue on these feathers. Keep safe and keep tying! Harera..
Aye great - I saw it and thought chartreuse at first - and thought of our Cutthroat Trout in Lake Chelan and our giant powerful Chum salmon of mention - but - just this morning I am wondering what to do - and for Pink Salmon - I would like to try a Pink Ace. So great on it. Thanks a bunch on this and every video. : )
Great looking fly mate. The brookies would murder that puppie. Hope you and your family are keeping safe my friend. Thanks for sharing another great video from the Master. Best Regards, Ken 🎣🐜🦃
Now I want my Pink Ace I'll tie to fish shallow and slow. So I won't use any shiny wire now. I have woven tinsel and flat tinsel that will work. And I'll use my light-blue thread and wake this fly good and wacky. Ya - I can just see it now - silver and gold - just as you have it. Well pretty close now. : )
What a pretty little streamer, I’ve been getting into trout spey lately and that looks like a deadly swinging fly, definitely gonna be giving it a tie and try it on some browns!
Nice wet fly/small streamer. I'm thinking that I could take the body & beard with yellow hen wings (for starters) and make an interesting Stevens style streamer. Other color combinations are possible also. Thanks Davie! 👍
Hi Bernie, The music was composed and played by my son Sean a few years ago for me to use in my videos as you have to own the copyright to use them in your videos..I'm glad you are enjoying the them... All the best Davie
Hi Donald, I use a 4 inch razor scissor which many companies sell, I have attached links to the cheapest pair I could find as well as a pair from Fulling Mill..The cheap pair will last me a good 6 months though the Fulling Mill will last me a good year and more as they are far better quality and hold their edge far longer..There's many other companies sell this style of scissor as well.. Thank-you, Davie. We met once long, long ago at a fly-dressing week-end led by Marvin Nolte in Causewayhead or Bridge of Allan. I'm sorry to say I have not really improved much as a fly-dresser since then, but although my efforts are not of the neatest, they do catch fish for my friends. I am always amazed how few anglers tie their own flies. "I haven't got the patience" is the excuse I hear most often, frequently followed by "I don't have the skills." I don't mind tying a few for my pals but my greatest satisfaction in recent years has consisted in learning how to set wings properly on Spey and Dee traditionals, following John Shewey's advice in his masterly book on that subject. I shall never be a great fly-dresser like you but it's a great hobby even for a duffer like me!
Hi Quincy M-e, The marabou I use mostly came from Veniards which I bought many years ago and I have washed and prepared for dyeing when I need some, I have also other packets which I bought throughout the many years of tying that came from small business's that are no longer trading.. All the very best Davie
Another lovely pattern! For those of us who don’t have real jungle cock and don’t especially like the synthetic do you have any suggested natural alternatives? Thank you again for the videos. They are keeping me sane while biding my time until I can get back to Scotland for summer salmon ... and kind regards.

Lovely looking fly Davie. Nicely tied and explained. Many thanks.
Very attractive fly. Golden olive is a lovely colour and would score in Ireland well.
