To all of those still listening in June 2021 we've never left I remember buying this album as a teenager not many bands can hold up to the epitome of Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter says: Our Faces Fall Apart is about Christians being held to an unattainable standard. I believe that, as a man of God, it is my duty to be a light to the people around me. And though I feel that is an important part of my walk with Christ, I, like most of us, often fall short of this duty. The point I try to make in this song is not to put people on a pedestal. Humans, by nature are failures and people tend to forget that. It’s not my intention to fail as a witness to Christ, but I do. Fortunately for all of us who fall short, the grace and mercy of God wash us clean as if we were flawless in his sight. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. -Romans 3:23-24
Dude praise Jesus an his holy word I pray everyone that hears this they come to repentance truly truly I verify this as part of Christ wanting it in our own lives amen for music that my soul understands
for those who want to know the featured vocals on Summer of Darkness album, in order of songs. -Beheaded (feat. guest vocals by Mike Williams of The Agony Scene) -Our Faces Fall Apart (feat. guest vocals by Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage) -Beauty Through The Eyes Of A Predator (feat. guest vocals by Brock Lindow of 36 Crazyfists) -Coffin Builder (feat. guest vocals by Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch)
Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter is the main voice you hear in the chorus. It’s very easy to hear the same timbre between this chorus and all the other choruses on this album. Howard assists in the pre-chorus screams.
@@kendrickflanagan9225 I'm going to have to disagree, I just listened to two songs from this album where the main singer uses clean vocals and it is nowhere near that deep. Nor does Ryan have that vibrato technique, just listen to how he sings Angels and Cold, that is signature Howard Jones even back then. Listen to Light the Torch and Howard's clean's, it's him. Just compare it to another song on the album, My Heartstrings Come Undone. Ryan gets deeper than usual, but he's got almost no vibrato usage.I don't think the song would specifically note featuring Howard Jones if all he did was do co screams in a pre chorus.
+AlphaLeader772 indeed howard does have a christian back ground but he did not consider himself a christian at the time but most of his music condones the reffrens to give him self to god or jesus
I like the part where he says "WHADA ARGHNOT DAHPRAABLA I JUSSA WASLA MUHHYA OOOWWNN HEEEAALLAAGGH". "WHEEDDAL JASSAHH PRAJAACTIOONN MUHHYA OOOWWNN PLAAAUUCCEEAAGGHH". Good song.
@YesuMashiaDisciple haha thanks man i always forget what i post but yeah man great band great song..thank God for youtube 'cuz I'm too cheap to buy cds.
@@colebacca1369 All I’m gonna say is: If you listen to Killswitch Engage or Light The Torch or just are familiar with Howard’s voice, then you’ll know that’s him, I can tell.
@@heelgill I generally listen to newer KSE, but I have heard some older Howard KSE. And while I recognize that the chorus does sound pretty similar to Howard after a few more listens, I also think it sounds a bit similar to Ryan as well. That being said, my ear for this kinda stuff ain’t all that great lol. I just never really questioned who the chorus was sung by growin up, always assumed it was Ryan. So it was hard for me to hear anything but Ryan at first. If that makes any sense lol
@@colebacca1369 I understand what you mean and that’s okay. Another commenter said this but just listen to how in the chorus, the vocalist sings, "angels so cold". You’ll hear vibrato vocals towards the end, which means that’s Howard Jones.
One of only two Demon Hunter songs I kinda like. Howard's part is actually really cool. Kinda haunting. Still don't like Ryan Clark's voice at all though. :\
Lol I know, I just don't understand the hype and acclaim these guys have. Their sound is just annoying to my ears. :P But I appreciate their ministry, for sure. By the way, hail, Divine Crusader.
Demon Hunter + Howard Jones = Incredible

This song proves that not only their ballads bring tears to my eyes.
Howard Jones is a Christian from what I know, so I doubt he was surprised when Demon Hunter asked him to appear on their album Summer of Darkness.
My favorite vocalists Howard Jones, and Ryan Clark in the same song.
Epic Win.
I love this song. Great lyrics, great sound, AND the Howard Jones. =) I love Demon Hunter, but KsE still remains my No. 1 favorite band.
i heard howard in this hes simply is amazing
"I built this anguish with my own hands"....................
My favorite song off the Summer of Darkness album!
This is my favorite Demon Hunter song.
HOWARD!!! awesome singing. Praise Abba ("God")
Damn Howard can sing. Also the whole song is boss, but Howard sings a surprisingly beautiful chorus.
Maximus Aralieous who's Howard?
Lane Webb Howard Jones, he’s used to be the lead singer for Killswitch Engage now he’s with a band called Light The Torch
Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter is the main voice you hear in the chorus.
It’s very easy to hear the same timbre between this chorus and all the other choruses on this album.
Howard assists in the pre-chorus screams.

@@maximusaralieous1728 That’s definitely Howard, you’re absolutely right.
Two great bands making a song together? Truly amazing, they should also make a song with Breaking Benjamin. That would be a total masterpiece.
wut other band made this with them?
Carter Worsley
Howard Jones was from Killswitch Engage, when they made this song.
+AlphaLeader772 indeed howard does have a christian back ground but he did not consider himself a christian at the time but most of his music condones the reffrens to give him self to god or jesus
+AlphaLeader772 two bands?
Scratch
Killswitch Engage and Demon Hunter.
I love demon hunter man, there's something special about them. Moat of my play list is heavier but I've always loved this band.
this song and ribcage are my favorite demon hunter songs :D
Intro=Demon hunter on the super market, then the credit card got dennied and they invented this song ._.
@The79Machine Ha HA HA HA HA HA ROFL ROFL!!!!!!!!!!! Dude! That was hilarious!!!!!!! Good job!
This song is amazing and it has guest vocals from howard jones, thats amazing!
I like that intro. Howard never disappoints. This band I’m not familiar with though.
you gotta get familiar with them because it is probably some of the most amazing stuff out there lol
I pray u understand the holy Spirit ancthe repent of Christ for he is coming soon
@ittems How the Hell did you get sandwich out of it? First thing I thought (besides anguish) was sidewalks. lol :P
@12disneyhater I think Howard's screaming in some of the backup parts like at :55 and 1:05
I need to get this album...
At :55 and 1:06 is when you should begin hearing Howard Jones' voice. You'll know when to listen for it the second time the pre-chorus kicks in.
one of my favorite Demon Hunter songs. Unfortunately...they just don't make songs like this anymore
the first time i have listened to a DH song all because oh HJ...wish he did his amazing scream.solo i mean
awesome song
Why did this song make me cry?
I love this song
@ittems haha, I originally thought he said sidewalks...
Is that Howard at 2:24? Someone please answer.
Yup, it’s Howard.
@12disneyhater he does all the singing during the chorus.
Oh wow, I like that. I like that a lot. :3
I like the part where he says "WHADA ARGHNOT DAHPRAABLA I JUSSA WASLA MUHHYA OOOWWNN HEEEAALLAAGGH". "WHEEDDAL JASSAHH PRAJAACTIOONN MUHHYA OOOWWNN PLAAAUUCCEEAAGGHH". Good song.

You can just see the Insidious kid sitting in his driveway plotting his revenge for the chalk drawings washed away by the rain.

amazing song!!! what part does howard jones give guest vocals?
I keep seeing people say that Howard is doing the chorus, but I don’t hear it. I know Ryan can get that deep too.
He literally features on this song. It’s clearly him.
@@heelgill okay? There are other parts to the song, it ain’t all just the chorus lol

Yeah, i can randomly hear Howard screaming in the background.
they should go back and make a video for this song
Anguish, its anguish people lol

@SWBattlefrontGuru, i like the sanwich version better lol
howard jones of killswitch engage is supposedly in this song, but in what part?
The alternate screams in the prechorus and all of the chorus
🤘
@kinnkilla2 hahaha thanks

I agreed. But then they made The World is a Thorn.
@brnkid123456 yeah totally!
ikr
@PatchyDaUndead Howard forever :D
I'm having a hard time hearing Howard, specifically. Is it Howard and Ryan screaming together in the verses? It's not Howard singing the chorus.
xD oh god x'DD
