Can i use a lian li aio with one of these lga 1700 kits
So I purchased the capellix h150i but I have an LGA 1700 Mobo (ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 ) . I already ordered the set of stand offs but my question is this. Is the bracket you get in the lcd h150i different? Or does it just include the stand-off screws? Because there is another kit that’s always out of stock on Corsair that includes the stand off and bracket. I’m too afraid to build until I know as I want the new cpu to have maximum exposure to cooling. Thanks
I believe that your motherboard should have the extra holes like mine does. Meaning you shouldn't need any extra kit and can use the same setup as for LGA 1200.
@@TheProvokedPrawn alright thanks. was just very curious as I want it to be optimal is all. Thanks for all the vids you make
@@Defaultuseraccount Hello, i did the same thing. I bought the capellix h150i and i have an LGA 1700. Did you need to buy the kit anyway?
Anyone who used the kraken backplate, before you attached the cooler did the backplate feel loose? Mine feels loose even tho the stand offs are tightened by hand as tight as I feel comfortable tightening, and it still feels loose. Worried about installing the cooler with it feeling loose but I was told by a ryzen user that it wasn’t as normal but they use different backplates. Someone please let me know
Did you find the solution?
any link for cooler master ml280 ? please ? :)
thanks
Need some advice!..
I have a older cooler corsair h110i gtx can it fit to lga1700 with retrokit?
You can check corsair's site for compatibility. But I believe so.
Can i reuse the old bracket
Can i use lga 1200 into my gigabyte d3sh b660m ax ddr4?
If I understood your question correctly, you can't use it on Gigabyte motherboards since they don't have double holes like ASUS motherboards do.
hey i have a lga1700 bracket for a different cpu cooler, would it work on nzxt x53 cooler?
Did it work?
Will the noctua one work for an NZXT Cracken X63?
Great video :) was wondering if I would be able to reuse my Kraken X63 if I would upgrade from my current AM4 system to a 13600K. The kit is just €5 so looks like that wont be an issue :)
Which kit did you end up using for your kraken?
@@Daydatao none, I actually ended up sticking a 5800X3D on my old mobo and calling it good for the next few years probably. But the Asus motherboard I was looking at for the 13600K turns out to actually also accept the older style bracket so depending on that you may not need a kit at all.
good shit man. thanks
So for this specific motherboard you don’t need a lga 1700 bracket?
No
Does it work with nzxt kraken x53
I have question: Corsair h100i v2 can use this item?
Corsair's website in the description shows which it's compatible with
does this work for the h100i v2?
can i use for corsair the nzxt screws?
nice informative video. Wondering if you can use the NZXT backplap and stand offs with a Corsair capelix.
You mentioned that most don't come with the holes. The noctua instructions tell me to not remove the existing back plate and to put the new back plate over the old one. Problem is, there are no holes except where the original is mounted.
I orderd lga 1700 stand off retro fit for my corsair H60 cooler, but turns out its backordered. The bracket fits fine due to the adjustable corners, im just wondering if the 115x stand offs will work. I screwed the cooler in lightly and it seems to fit, can anyone confirm? Thanks
I ordered the Kraken z73 LGA1700 bracket and they're backordered and out of stock as well don't know when ill be getting my bracket but i do have the z73 installed on an LGA 1151 socket from my current i7-8700k and want to transfer over to my new z690-a mother board did you find out if it works without the bracket?
@@anonymous8906 the old stand offs worked fine. I received the new ones from Corsair but I haven’t even bothered to switch them out
I reused my H60 with the old standoffs and bracket and it seems to work just fine with good temps, probably not recommended but..... meh.
Here trying to find anyone else doing this. Building a rig for my nephew and cannot obtain the official Corsair plate and screws. It seems to fit fine with good thermal paste spread/contact. I’m going to rock it and see how it does. Anyone have temp feedback?
What motherboard (as in, is it one of the ones that comes with the LGA 1200 mounting holes)?
NZXT bracket doesn’t fit if you have the M22 or the H1 case.
Have you found any solution?
@@IndieFist I had to contact them directly to get a specific bracket for it. You can’t buy one because I couldn’t find anyone selling it.
If you’re in a hurry like I was you’ll just have to be patient. Takes a couple weeks for them to get it to you.
@@SettlingAbyss96 thanks 😊
Me daba error led roja cpu. Espero que cuando me llegue el soporte y lo instale todo funcione bien
si, cuando el cpu pasa del TJ max, se activa un mecanismo de proteccion que lo apaga
Por ahí, leí que no tiene un buen contacto y genera estos conflictos
How to I get the nzxt brackets?
Details in the description
My wingnuts from NZXT did not fit any posts. Basically the coolers can only be jerry rigged for the 1700 socket. No real practical mounting is offered. (even from any third party) These coolers are noisy, leaky junk. I would advise you to avoid at any cost.
Is that a rog strix b660-a?
No
@@TheProvokedPrawn Ah ok, just looked like it, with the customisable socket thingy.
First time builder here. I installed my backplate LGA 1700 and then installed motherboard to case. I noticed after installed the bracket in the back became loose and unfitted. Is this normal? Is it okay to proceed or should I re -inatall?
It shouldn't be if you've tightened the stand offs enough
Alternate title: how to mount old coolers on lga 1700, if you happen to have a high-end rog Motherboard...
Well no, that's just one part of it isn't it. The kits will fit on other motherboards too. That's the point ;)
@@TheProvokedPrawn it's not a "how to" video after one mentions "oh by the way, you need to get this from your manufacturer"
ok, guess I wasted my time then.
Hello! The clearance on those cooler tubes looks awfully tight against the RAM sticks, any reason you didn't just mount it with the tubes facing downward?
SMASHING
I really like your voice
I really like your comment
you look like Chuck Norris
Ha
ASUS FTW!
Shame on intel.
hello, I have an old h100i gtx(v2) having abbysmal temps with 13700k. wondering which kit i should go for, any help is appreciated.
When I buy the retrokit, do I buy it base on the socket of my MB or base on the aio cooler I have ?
My aio is 2011 , MB is 1700
can i use my 1150 cooler with an adapter?
does this retrofit kit apply for corsair h100 extreme series?
