Ep. 285: Wheel / Tire Painting Quick Tip... Volume 2

I've revised my wheel & tire painting technique to give a much more durable (and prettier) finish.
Bonus Tip. Giving the finished wheels a light coat of clear coat also gives the Rubber an 'Armor All-like' gloss appearance which looks really sweet.

Thank you! I still need to get out and test the tires out. I'm not sure about how well the compound will perform, but at the very least they will make great looking storage tires. ;-)

I got a tip for painting wheels from RCKICKS recently. Using a circle stencil the size of your wheel for masking saves you all the time & effort of using tape to mask the tires. I actually bought an “arts & crafts” circle stencil kit from Amazon and painted my 8S OUTCAST wheels. I placed the stencil over the tires one at a time & secured it in place with a piece of masking tape, sprayed away & moved onto the next wheel with the same stencil. It was almost too easy.
