Your bread tie trick is something I have to explain ALL THE TIME at my retail job concerning jewelry and crafting beading. SO. MANY. PEOPLE. really really struggle to understand how it works. It's lovely to be reminded that others have common sense and problem solving skills ❤️
Extremely helpful, Thank you so much! - ERmahGAWD I was having so much trouble transitioning from a basic flow wand to an LED (almost returned my beautiful LED Levi) .... yet simply adjusting the string to the length of my forearm TOTALLY FIXED IT. Back to rocking a wand - I am truly grateful and appreciate your knowledge and skill!
HI Lux, I never saw a Levi Wand before until 2 weeks ago, now I purchased one and I got very frustrated because it was tied very awkward and was all wobbly. After your tutorial it is so much more stable and I am motivated again! Thank you so much and I am looking forward to more tutorials because I feel like there is way too less on the internet about it
You can also use a larger size sewing needle to get the string thru. ❤️ My string broke off my first day and I was like oh no! Sewing needle to the rescue!
Hi Lux, I'm new to levi wands and I bought the flowtoys allium contact wand as it just looks so cute on you, bought the same color too ^.^ Now I have some questions: My friend pulled one of the cap out to check it out and now the top side of the wand is shorter, not sure if that's normal as I didn't pay attention to it before, any comments? It works fine for now Resizing: I'm about 5'3 and size XS to S, when I do the perch elbow straight arm measure, if I cut the string down, the pom grip would be touching the cap, is that cool? or should the string itself or string of the pom grip be at least longer than the end cap? I'm also trying to shorten that string that comes with the pom grip My friend is maybe 4'10 and got the same wand, her string will have to be so short?! BTW I really love your energy and your looks, you drilled the ILLUSiOn Hand in me pretty good lol Thanks for sharing your passion!
Hiii, we're in the flow group on facebook. How do I string my long string? Literally know nothing about stringing, I've just put it through and tied it because I couldn't figure it out lol. I think I did everything you said not to. hehe!
I’m new ❤ n I’ve noticed on some strings there are two swivels. One closer to wand n the other on the finger thingy. What’s the significance of having the one closer to the wand
Have you done/will you. a video on wrapping your wand with silicone grip-tape. I love your videos and just bought my first nice wand! I got a future wand :)
So that is a little leash, I tend to hold the string of the wand when I spin. So having that little leash with the swivel attached to that makes it so that swivel isnt useless lol. Here is a link for a handle that comes with one. I made the one that I am using in this video. www.etsy.com/listing/690720730/grip-for-flow-wand-levi-wand?ref=shop_home_active_1
@@sydneyrox91 HAHAH it is an old fingerloop that I pulled through the ball handle and tied them to some washers. It works, but can slip out. That link for the ball handle with the stubby leash works perfectly. You can use my code: Luxwand to save some money on it.
I recieved my first wand, flowtoy day wand, I binged your videos, I did all the things and sized it WITHOUT tying the string to my swivel knob... why does the string twist?? How am I supposed to hold it with the knob?? Why am I sucking at just doing circles?? 😳
That is a great little wand!! The string will twist and untwist with the swivel. If it gets too twisted, untwist it by putting your finger throught the string where the string meets with the center hole of the wand. So, I hold my knob in my hand with the string going over my index finger. Give the circles some time, try making big circles and move slowly. :) Hope that helps!
@@LuxLuminous Thank you! I love your energy, my 7yr old asks to watch the blue haired lady with me lol... Do you have a video (that I missed somehow lol) that shows how you hold the knob? I'm confuzzled.
@@LuxLuminous I switched back to the finger loop swivel it came with and I think I like how that feels better (I thought I'd prefer the knob like I did in poi, nope) and I'm getting the circles but... Its. Still. Not. Swiveling😳😳. Twisty and wonky very quickly. I've never seen it done in person, it would be neat to see your POV, like camera on your head style, because I feel like it looks totally different watching it vs doing it yourself.
If your end goal is to do things like tosses. It would be good to just start with the ball handle grip. That way you will never have to go through the weird transition phase between loop and handle.

Never knew that knot was called a fisherman knot. I used that for necklaces... So nobody wants to answer my question about fishing string. I bought a levi wand and I dress up as a fairy for ren faires and I wanted to bring that. Well, kids at renfaires are just the most curious creatures ever. So I thought maybe after I'm better at it, I can use a clear string for events like that so the kids won't be all " I can see the string, that ain't magic..." . Would fishing line support the wand, or would it snap?
Ok, the clear string is super painful to use, It tangles easily, and it breaks as well. I would honestly just use thin nylon ice fishing line. I have had SO MANY kids say that to me. As soon as they do that I tell them they broke the Magic. Then I let the wand go wonky. I tell them they gotta clap to make it work again. Lol
@@LuxLuminous nice, thank you on the suggestion and what to say. I know what to say when they ask us to fly. I'll have to practice with wings on, but I'm so excited. Thank you for your vids!
Contact wands weight about 7 oz and more, they have grip tape. Fire wands just have wicks and grip tape. You can use them for contact. Original Leviwands are like 2oz, super light and thin and no grip tape.

How much extra string do you leave for the knots?
Maybe a an inch or two. You can always cut off the extra :)
I had order some of the string in the link and got it but it seems pretty thick could I have maybe bought the wrong stuff?
It is thicker than ice fishing line. Shouldn't be too thick to get through your wand. Also could be that your string hole is tiny.
