    i allow my warrior bards to use their voice as the musical component in their spells. They love it, feels very much like the skald in other universes..

    My bard never managed to get the damage potential to be a true tank but his versatility meant he could take on that role when needed for short periods of time. After reaching level 15 he actually switched to away from the College of Swords to college of Glamour to boost his support capabilities and become more of a commander able to reposition (and buff) his allies with Mantle of Inspiration. While not as able to personally fill any gaps in the line his spells (especially Draconic Spirit and Wall of Force) enable him to do so.
    At lvl 16 I picked up a level in Divine Soul Sorcerer both to get access to Shield and Absorb Elements as well as for the nifty 2d4 get out of jail free card for that critical saving throw.
    17th level I added a lvl of Peace Cleric both for the 9th lvl spell slot and the Emboldening Bond, and the last three levels I decided to get some Rune Knight levels both to boost his martial prowess as well as getting Action Surge, with a few interesting shenanigans through runecasting and giant might as bonus. (Echo knight would have been an interesting alternative but given how quickly my bard moves across the battlefield keeping the echo up would've been quite tricky)
    Just giving Odd something to think about. After 15 lvls of Bard there's are a lot of interesting level dips open.

      Nice! Peace cleric is always a cool dip! I’ve used it in other builds and I’m excited to see what Brett decides to do as the campaign continues!

    Hello, exelent build idea and a nice video! I have a couple of pointers for anyone interested in this build. First you should start with stats of 13/14/13/8/9/15 instead of 12/14/14/8/8/15. This way after you add +2/+1 to CHA and CON, you get a better statistic. This is not game changing but may come handy. You also can't benefit from two fighting styles, so when reaching lvl 2 in paladin, you have to make a choice if you want to keep dueling or gain defense. You also wouldn't get a feat at level 19, since you took 3lvl of multiclass, but I may be mistaken on that one since I don't know the rules for multiclassing that well. That would be enough of my rules lawyering for today, have fun out there.

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  20 днів тому

      The problem is that you need a 13 STR to multiclass into Paladin! Also, you can definitely pick another fighting style--there is no rule against that. Finally, you DO get a feat at level 19 since it is your 16th level in bard. ASIs are tied to your class levels and not character levels.

    • @andrzejkowalski3578
      @andrzejkowalski3578 20 днів тому +1

      @@ConstructedChaos If you follow my stats, you actually get 13 STR. Difference between my recommendation and the one in your video is that I valued my race +1 bonus at 2 points in point buy system and you valued your +1 bonus at only 1 point. Since upgrading from 13 -> 14 is more expensive then 12 -> 13. There absolutely is a rule against using two fighting styles. Every "fighting style feature" has it. I quote: "You can't take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again". Regarding feats at level 19 you are absolutely right, my mistake.

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  20 днів тому

      @@andrzejkowalski3578 You're absolutely right about the stats! I misread your comment. However, you're incorrect about the fighting styles. I don't blame you, though. What it's saying is that you can't take the SAME option more than once. So I couldn't take the defensive fighting style twice for +2 AC. I took two different fighting styles so we're in the clear there!

    Love this build
    I would definitely allow a player to use this weapon as a spellcasting focus for all spells
    War Caster might be handy to take early on (especially if your table grants a free feat at 1st level) to aid in the gishy playstyle
    I could definitely see playing this

    This is an awesome build. But it explains a lot of Odd-ness in those shorts. Also, if you were to add Sorcerer into the this Constructed Chaos (hahaha, see what I did there?), what subclass would you pick?

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  19 днів тому +1

      Hahaha I do see what you did and I approve! Hmmmm If we added in sorcerer, my choice would probably be Divine Soul both for flavor and for that 1st level feature to help us land attacks and pass saves.

    @killer44339 18 днів тому +1

    Am I missing something or this is just wrong?
    I mean this Is not a tank, it's a DPR and it is Just hard tò kill. No taunt, no damage reduction no high hp
    And second Hex Warrior allow you tò use carisma for Attack only with a weapon that lack two hand feature, non polearm. There Is a eldrich invocation that allow you to do so

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  17 днів тому +2

      It’s not wrong. You can see for yourself how effective this build is at punishing enemies for slipping past to attack the back lines. A tank doesn’t have to be a meat shield. The build does get pretty high hp (albeit pretty late). A spear does not have the two handed property and does work with polearm master and hex warrior.

    • @killer44339
      @killer44339 17 днів тому +1

      @@ConstructedChaos my bad for the spear, you're right, but still a tank needs to discourage the enemy to Attack you ally like a armorer artificer or a barbarian ancestral guardian AND encourage to Attack them self. This is a great build but (for me) it is just hard tò kill and deals a lot of damage with a bit of controll. The enemies can easly spawn behind the line and its done

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  17 днів тому

      @@killer44339 I think that's a pretty fair assessment. However, you shouldn't forget that the build does also have compelled duel, polearm master, and plenty of ways to support allies IF enemies get by. Perhaps "tank" isn't the best descriptor for it but I can tell you that it has served that purpose plenty well enough in our campaign. Good positioning and strong punishes for enemies that attempt to leave Odd's range do a lot more heavy lifting than you'd think.
